Questa è una bella casa situata in una gated community su Dauphin Island, Alabama. La casa ha quattro camere da letto e tre bagni. La camera da letto di livello inferiore comprende un letto matrimoniale con bagno doccia privata. Porte francese che conducono ad un ampio portico schermato con una vista mozzafiato del corso spiaggia, golfo e il golf. La seconda camera da letto ha un letto a castello di dimensioni minori e un letto singolo con accesso ad un bagno completo. Al piano superiore, vi è una grande master suite con letto king size, area e tavolo e sedie seduta per giocare e le carte. Il bagno principale ha una grande vasca idromassaggio e doccia separata e wc. Porte francesi conducono a una veranda e balcone con vista mozzafiato sul golfo. La camera da letto 4 al piano superiore ha un letto matrimoniale ed è decorato in un tema barca a vela. C'è un armadio 'giocattolo' che si trova in questa stanza per i più piccoli. C'è un soppalco in cima alle scale che ha un letto matrimoniale.

Al piano di sotto, la camera familiare dispone di alti soffitti e l'accesso alla splendida Veranda perfetto per il caffè e la conversazione.

La cucina è completamente attrezzata e la sala colazione ha un grande tavolo per i pasti in famiglia e giochi.

Tutte le lenzuola, tra cui lenzuola, asciugamani e teli mare sono arredati per la vostra convenienza.

Questo è sicuramente una casa che vi costringerà a rilassarsi e godersi la splendida vista! La casa si trova direttamente di fronte alla spiaggia. La piscina, campo da tennis e lungomare alla spiaggia si trovano a pochi passi di distanza. (circa 200 yards).

Vi è anche una zona di sabbia per i più piccoli sotto la casa dotata di giocattoli di sabbia per ore di divertimento a portata di mano!

Spiacente, nessun animali domestici o fumare è consentito in questa casa!

Family Time

There are plenty of games and toys for kids. We also used the beach chairs and umbrella. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances for cooking. The location is close to the pool and boardwalk. We had a view of the water which was very relaxing for our family.

Great Vacation

We had a great stay at the Porches. The Porches had everything we needed so that my family could enjoy our stay. We loved the porches and spent every morning there before we started our day. We had one injury while there and I would caution people on the back stairs as they are steep and should not be used by any one with walking issues or young children. Still could not have enjoyed our stay more.

Family Vacation

The Porches was an ideal location for our family beach vacation. The house is convenient to everything offered on Dauphin Island. Desoto Landing offers a pool and tennis court for the children when they tire of the beach. The house is well equipped with kitchen appliances and beach equipment. This is a repeat stay at the property. We have never been disappointed.

Family time

We had 3 almost 3 year-olds and an almost 5 year old. This is the perfect property for small ones. Lots of books, riding toys and chairs for them. The walk to the pool and beach is short and having wagons to carry the provided chairs, toys and towels was fantastic.

Love The Porches!

This is the third time we have stayed here with our extended family and we love it! It’s a peaceful neighborhood and beach access is a few steps away. The house has a couple beach wagons to haul your stuff, bikes, a few chairs, toys and a great place for kids to play in the sand under the house. The decks are our favorite part! We spend hours hanging out together playing games, doing puzzles and reading. The beach is beautiful and is where we spend the rest of the time, we hardly go anywhere else! Highly recommend this well stocked house with great gathering areas. Beth is very cordial and easy to communicate with.

Amazing house

Wow, what a great house. Beth was extremely accommodating! She had toys for children inside and outside. She had wagons, strollers, umbrellas for the beach, beach chairs, coolers, and the list goes on! The house was clean and in a great location. The gated community gives you a sense of security, which is not needed because everyone is so friendly and nice on the island. The gated community offers a tennis court, pool, bath house, and a dock to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay at Beth’s and have already recommend her house to several friends. We will be back!

Home away from home

We could not be more pleased with our stay. The house was unbelievably fully stocked from linens, towels, kitchen needs, and most importantly beach accessories! We literally felt as though we were at our own home. There was nothing we needed that wasn't readily available and plentiful . Another HUGE plus is the outdoor areas. Hence the name ..Porches. . there is just as much outdoor seating and relaxing areas as indoor and of course if your going to enjoy the beach you tend to spend more time outdoors. Both inside and out offered areas to gather with your group or if you needed a little alone time or privacy that was also available. The short walk to the beach is also convenient. We were an older group but kept finding ourselves marveling over the kid friendly atmosphere and wishing we had seen this place when ours were smaller. Overall we had a great experience and appreciated the accuracy in description.

Lovely Neighborhood

My family travels to DI twice a year. This was our first time staying in Desoto Landing. The house was easy to find and check-in was a breeze. We had a few minor issues, but the host was responsive to messages and apologetic. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. I was comfortable with even the younger kids walking the beach, neighborhood, etc. The community areas were clean and easily accessible. The pool was never crowded, even during spring break. My only complaint is the bathroom situation. If you have 9+ people in the house, this will be an issue. There is only one bathroom that is not en suite so you could potentially have 6 or more people sharing that. And it is very small. Also anyone that sleeps upstairs (that is not in the master) has to come downstairs to use the restroom at night. Keep this in mind with children and those with limited mobility. Seating in the living room is limited to a couch, loveseat, and children’s seating. We brought chairs from the master bedroom to accommodate our group. Pretty much everything that you need in the kitchen is provided. There is a gas grill under the house as well. We cooked nearly all of our meals there. Be aware…There are a lot of rules. The welcome packet was more involved than any other place that I have ever stayed, but we had no issues complying with expectations. I was overall quite happy with the house and would definitely consider booking this place again.

We had a lovely stay at The Porches. We take a few beach trips each year and usually bring our preferred gear, but it definitely wasn't necessary this time. This beach house is stocked with just about everything you could need. There were ample supplies of towels, beach towels, beach gear, dining essentials, cookware, and more.The entertaining space beneath the house is perfect for families with small children, and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The walk to the beach was a bit longer than I expected, especially with young children, but it was ultimately very manageable and well worth it.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Nice Family Vacation Home

Spacious home for large family gatherings. Wrap around porches on both levels provide relaxed seating options. Owner provides plenty of indoor games/movies/reading material as well as outdoor beach gear, children’s toys, and tennis equipment. Dauphin Island provides a more laid-back, quiet, and less crowded beach experience than more popular beaches nearby. Community pool and tennis court nice options.

Better than expected

For 11 of last 15 years we’ve stayed directly on the west end beach. So here you cannot listen to the waves or walk out the back door onto the beach, BUT we were pleasantly surprised. The house is in wonderful condition, Beth is quick to respond to inquiries or needs, and the a/c held up well in this heat. The beach is a leisurely 5 minute walk. The swimming pool is nice and a good alternative/ addition. Not a lot of cabinet space for your groceries, but you’ll adjust. Plenty of beach chairs, kid toys, and a couple of wagons to use. Plenty of towels and linens as well. No, we weren’t directly on the beach, but we weren’t dragging sand with us inside either. Several porches for which you’ll find different purposes like rocking or swinging or reading. Overall, a fun time in a good community. Thank you Beth!

Perfect Family Getaway

The Porches was a delightful house! It is in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for walks and bike rides. It is a couple houses down from the tennis court/pool/beach access - VERY doable for even young kiddos. Beth provides lots of wagons/carts so getting all of your things to and from is super easy. The house is older but clean and well kept. It felt like staying in a home were we could all be comfortable and not feel like the kids (9, 6, 3) were going to break everything. Everything is very well stocked, especially the kitchen and playroom. You can tell Beth takes great pride in her home! As our first experience with Dauphin Island, it couldn't have been better! We would love to return soon.

Just as described

We enjoyed The Porches. Communication with owner was quick and meaningful. The kids in the group enjoyed the toys and sandbox. Beach and pool was nice and close. The wagons were an added appreciated convenience. We will be back to Dauphin Island.

Very kid friendly house with toy closet, kids books, sandy play area under house with toys, sailboat themed room, bunk bed room. Also lots of porches and screened porch for relaxing and visiting. Great views!!
