Great place to stay. Perfect location between Marquette and Munising. Very serene. Fishing and kayaking fun along with fire feature on lower deck. Lots of stairs but doable. Very nice to have access to attached garage to get luggage, groceries in and out. Very high bed in bedroom on main floor! Very comfortable for 7!

Our family vacationed here in August. We loved the property and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities it offered! Check in and check out were easy. Host had good communication. 5 stars!

Chose this property as a home base to travel to Munising, Marquette, etc. & it was close enough but in hindsight would have chosen to stay in Marquette. The best thing about the property is that the bed in the primary bedroom was comfortable. Property can certainly could use much updating, especially carpeting in bedroom.Lighting throughout the main floor is very dim. Stairwell light flickers constantly & the hot water in upstairs shower sounds like a tea kettle going off.Very concealed view of Lake Au Train due to no trees being trimmed. (Trash can on road was also overflowing upon our arrival.)If the key goal is to have easy access to Lake Au Train with kayaks provided & sit fireside near the dock, then this property may fit that need for some but even then is overpriced for what it is.

Our stay at this Forest Lake House exceeded our expectations! Home was very clean with many nice touches that made it so inviting! The 2 living spaces, one upstairs and one downstairs, was perfect for our group of 7, giving my family and in-laws separate space.We absolutely loved waking up to the stunning views of trees and the dazzling lake! The 2 decks were a great place to take it all in and to barbecue each night! Lakeside fire pit was a real highlight! There are 3 single kayaks which my family really enjoyed! Life jackets can be found in the garage along with some other extras!Please note that there are 50 steps down to lake. Be sure to bring flashlights as steps are dark at night. Be sure to bring your own soaps,shampoos, and tissues. Please note that master bedroom bed is quite high but two stools are provided under the bed. I highly recommend this home. Hope you will enjoy as much as we did!

A private lake get away

This was our first time venturing into the UP. We loved the lakefront property. Access to Lake Au Train directly from our personal dock was great, appreciated having the boat and kayaks on site with life preservers. Location has great proximity to the offerings of Munising and the Pictures Rocks.

Perfect private location

Stayed here for 2 nights. 2 families with preteen boys to explore the Pictured Rocks area. The house was clean & in a great location to Munising. Right off the road but had a private back deck with no neighbors that you could see. The boys enjoyed fishing off the dock and in the rowboat and caught numerous small perch and a pike right from the dock.

Waterfalls

Excellent area for viewing waterfalls and hiking. Valley spur is nearby for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Snowmobile Trails are really close. Good times with the entire family.

house is located on a very quiet lake

nice home located on a very quiet lake, 2 bedrooms downstairs 1 upstairs which makes it great for multiple families. Kitchen is a bit small but has everything you need for a vacation, the 2 floor deck is beautiful. The house has a fire pit and a gas grill. Also has baby gates so it is very kid friendly.

Sunrise Special

What a great property to watch the sunrise over the trees and the lake with the beautiful fall colors. Plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy the views. Multi level deck to drink your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. This house is a no brainer if you are into the beauty of the outdoors!
