Thanksgiving Getaway

This was a perfect cabin for a Thanksgiving weekend getaway. Nice size and amenities for 6 people (4 adults, 2 kids, could definitely fit 2 more). Loved the fireplace and cozy living area. Also close to Arcadia and Manistee for day trips, we even jumped in Bear Lake in November! Would recommend for any good getaway on a lovely lake and would like to visit again in the spring or summer!

Can't wait to come back

Our weekend was planned for golf however due to weather enjoyed lots of other things. Distilleries, casinos and bar food experience. The Den is a great place for views. We had a camp fire and enjoyed many laughs amongst friends. Looking forward to our next stay.

Week’s stay at The Den

Quiet area, clean and very comfortable here. Centrally located to various smaller towns. Communication was easy with owner’s. Would like to rent here again.

Excellent Getaway

A beautiful property! Well taken care of, and it had everything we needed. The Den is perfect for a northern stay at the peak of fall colors. We rented this with another couple to tour the northwest part of lower peninsula. It was right on the water with a very peaceful and relaxed setting. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The local bar and grill called 44 Grill was good too!

Great stay!

Had a great time here. Clean and looked just as pictured. Loved that it was right on the lake and how much shallow water there was- it was perfect for our 18 month old.

Everything you could need and more!

Really really nice, as stated above very well stocked and maintained. So many nice touches you just don't find in your normal cabin. The owners pride shines through! A nice stepping off point to drive north for the attractions but then return to the peace and quite of Bear Lake.

Lovely week

We very much enjoyed our stay at “The Den”. Very comfortable accommodations. Reasonably priced for the area. Close to many great adventures in NW Michigan. Children enjoyed the shallow water swimming. Used the kayaks and row boat. Just a little disappointed as we thought there was a paddle boat available. We’ll consider visiting again in the future.

Perfect vacation spot

It was a perfect vacation getaway, well stocked kitchen for cooking/baking supplies and a great location, very peaceful. We will definitely book this location again.

Bear Lake Very Nice

Stayed with my wife for Up North golf weekend at Arcadia. Property as advertised, no unpleasant surprises. Very close to Arcadia Bluffs. Pleasantly surprised at the water clarity and the number of bass close to the dock. Quiet street, nice for eve walk.

Cozy Winter Den

Such a beautiful spot, even in the winter season!! Very clean, well-kept comfy den with all the necessities provided. We really enjoyed this rental for our Ski weekend! (Especially the fire place to warm up!) Host was also very helpful and communicative to make sure we had all the information needed about the rental itself and attractions in the area we were visiting!

We went to escape the city for a weekend. Nearby skiing was booked but we built a nice little sled run in the backyard and had a great time!

Cozy quiet cabin/house

This place was perfect! Comfortable and cozy yet modern. Very clean place to stay. We would love to come back in the summer/ fall every year. The lake was clean and it was a great place to sit on the dock and have a quiet morning coffee or a bonfire at night. Thanks for having us!

Perfect cozy cabin up north :-)

This cabin has been updated recently and is very cozy with the gas fireplace and enclosed patio. The cottage is right on the lake, minutes from beautiful Lake Michigan, Traverse city, dunes, etc. Plenty of kitchen cookware and utensils, chairs, comfy couches, and outdoor space. The cable internet / WiFi is very fast. Bear lake is beautiful and we watched some spectacular sunrises from the dock. Lot of nice touches and the coziness of this cottage will have us coming back :-)

Great place to stay for families.

Great setup for families. Love the swimming area, the paddle boat, and the rest of the amenities! Best vacation in a long time. Property manager was great to work with and very accommodating.
