Oliver, I am still sad and disappointed to read all these charges from your side now that you have left our Domain. As already said before, communication involves more than one person. I was not "defensive" when writing to you, and I did not say that "everything was your fault". I have just replied to every single point, and this is what I will do by now as well. You seemed to be very engaged to write this review, and I hope that you feel better now that it has been done. Just note that my name is Bettina and not Brittany (ouch ! ), and that I still do not appreciate that you have left our Domain last Sunday without saying good bye. You could have come to our place, send me a WhatsApp or inform me the day before about your presumed leaving time. I have the impression that your review is a kind of vengeance as I pointed out your rudeness. Just a feeling. Concerning the different items you mentioned : When you arrived 1.5 hours before the announced arrival time, I asked you if you indicated the UK time when confirming your venue ;). Obviously you did not understand this touch of humour. But there was clearly no problem for me to let you enter into the guest house before time. I am surprised to read that you did not feel welcome. I said and did exactly the same as for all our other guests before (who obviously appreciated our hospitality) : I was personnally there to welcome you, and every time I saw you I asked you if everything was fine - which was the case until your departure in haste. I also gave you some ideas for visiting the places next to our Domain. You are pointing out that you are English. Indeed Oliver... and I am German, we were both in France when we met each other, and we had to find a way to communicate. From my side, ok for French and German ! And I will try to make more effort to being clear in English as well. It is too bad that you had no idea about anything... The shower holder had only to be rescrewed. During your stay, I have asked you if you wanted us to go into the guesthouse in order to repair it, but you refused. We have done it by now, thank you for having pointed this out. The back door window is not broken, there was only the wooden frame to be refixed. And I did not find any rust on the draining tray. It is funny to read that your wife felt sick having to put clean washing up on as you did not do any washing during your short stay at our place. Please just be so kind as not to treat me as a liar ; aside from you, no one complained about these two items. Concerning the missing cleanliness you mentioned, you are hurting me deeply as I have cleaned the whole house before your venue, and everything was ok when you entered in. It was in this context that I mentioned the rubbish of your whole stay that you left in the guesthouses' entry. You should perhaps keep your own things in order before requiring others to do so... Last but not least, you are comparing our guesthouse with other houses you have visited in Dordogne, but did you compare the whole delivery ? A 6-persons-guesthouse, a very big garden, a nice swimming pool (available just for you and your family, lucky you...), ... Note that I do not understand the person you are, nor why you need to write those things instead of saying them to me directly. I have never experienced such a bad faith since the beginning of our activity in 2020. Wishing you all the best for the futur... and much more luck when chosing your next holiday rental.
