Stunning summer hideaway

A beautiful and unique place to stay in a stunning part of France. We spent a week with our dog, and wished we'd been able to stay for longer. Annie and Jean- Paul were helpful and responsive both before and during our stay, even inviting us for an aperitif on one of the evenings. A wonderful place that we would highly recommend.

Chilled an relaxed

Perfect location, everything we needed at the property for our stay, due to fantastic weather the pool was well used as was the bbq! Annie are Simon were welcoming hosts. The pretty town of Le Bugue was only 20 mins away, plenty of supermarkets. So much to see and do without driving for miles, we had a perfect relaxing week, even the dog was chilled 🐕 xx

Perfect

We stayed for 2 glorious weeks in the fabulous Borie de la Cause. We wish we could have stayed longer.The peace and tranquility of the location, but within a few minute drive of a delightful small town, is perfect. Surrounded by nature with birds & butterflies, deer & hares to enjoy. We wondered at the brilliance of the stars in the dark sky.It is situated close to many prehistoric sites with many beautiful gardens to visit.The cabine has been lovingly hand built by Jean-Paul and Annie with so many artisanal features to discover, all incorporated in such a comfortable little house, with everthing you need. The private pool was exceptional, always clean and welcoming in the afternoon heat.Annie & Jean-Paul are wonderful and generous hosts, we hope we can return to enjoy the delights of this very special and charming place.

The house and surrounds are very picturesque! I would bear in mind the hot water tank is small, long hot shower are off the menu! All in all we had a lovely time, enjoyed the odd dip in the pool when the weather was at its best. I had to leave a light on at night so I could navigate the rustic spiral hand built staircase, but this was more of age thing for me now I get up to use the bathroom multiple times a night! The surrounding area is very prehistoric, there lots of ancient history, vineyards and local markets to explore! On Tuesday evenings after Le Bugue village market there a big food/music event, which we came across by accident! Definitely work a look!If you feel like a proper restaurant meal then the one by the river in neighbouring village of Limeuil, LAncre Du Salut was very reasonable and the food fantastic!

Totally peaceful and relaxing

We arrived after a long drive to be greeted by the charming owner, Annie, who settled us in to the gîte. The Bourie is the most enchanting home, built by Annie’s husband Jean Paul who is a Master Maconiere. The standard of workmanship is truly remarkable and provides a snug and homely accommodation, surrounded by a lovely garden and overlooking acres of woodland. If you’re in need of a ‘get away from it all’ holiday then this is perfect for you - in the evenings there was barely a sound to be heard. The local town of Le Bugue has a number of friendly bars and plenty of shops providing regional food and drink and is a 10 minute drive away (we used our bikes most days) and there is plenty to do and see in the area. The Bourie has a very basic kitchen so take a sharp knife and any other essential equipment you need - we barbecued most days (in the excellent one carved by Jean Paul!). Access to the bedroom is via a steep spiral staircase which some may find a bit of a challenge if you have mobility issues so worth bearing in mind. The gîte is quirky and simply furnished and it felt like a step back in time, which was wonderful The swimming pool is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Annie and Jean Paul are the most charming and helpful hosts you could possibly want - they made us feel completely at home without ever intruding.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine. Annie et Jean Paul sont très charmants et accueillants. La propriété ainsi que la piscine sont très bien entretenues. Ce lieux, très calme est idéalement situé pour visiter le Périgord noir.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cet hébergement très original. Nos hôtes Annie et Jean-Paul ont été très sympathiques et accueillants. Depuis le logement, il est facile de rejoindre pas mal de sites et de villages intéressants. Bref, un séjour parfait!

Das wunderschöne Steinhaus hat uns fasziniert. Die Lage und Umgebung waren märchenhaft. Annie und Jean-Paul sind sehr herzliche und liebenswerte Menschen, die wir auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen werden. Der Abschied fiel uns schwer.

Super expérience dans la cabane, au calme dans la campagne. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine. Accueil très chaleureux de Annie et Jean Paul qui nous ont partagé leur passion des traditions du Périgord. Nous avons fait de très belles visites et découvert une région magnifique. Un accueil a la hauteur de la beauté du lieu

Malgré la canicule nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour chez Annie et Jean Paul. La chaleur de leur accueil, leur gentillesse, leurs attentions et leur discrétion y ont beaucoup contribué. Le lieu est magnifique et très bien situé pour les visites. La piscine vraiment superbe en pleine nature et d'une propreté irréprochable ! Merci encore à Annie et Jean Paul pour ces bons moments. Nous espérons avoir l'occasion de revenir (mais avec une chaleur raisonnable).

Jolie borie à Savignac de Miremont

La petite borie charmante a une très belle piscine très propre. Les hôtes sont très discrets et très accueillants. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances dans cette belle région. Le gite est modeste. Le ciel le soir: le bonheur!

Ein traumhaftes Ferienhaus für Romantik-Liebhaber

Was für ein besonderes und wunderschönes Ferienhaus!! Idylle pur zum Entspannen und Durchatmen! Im Häuschen ist alles da, was man im Urlaub braucht. Den Pool haben wir gerne genutzt, um uns nach unseren Ausflügen abzukühlen und wieder zu erholen. Die Gegend ist voller wunderschöner Ausflugsziele. Wir hatten noch einiges auf dem Zettel, war in einer Woche aber gar nicht alles zu schaffen. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an die netten Vermieter Annie und Jean-Paul. Wir werden euer ganz spezielles und schönes Häuschen tüchtig weiter empfehlen.

Ruhe und Musse sind im charmanten Cabane mit dem gut gepflegten Pool garantiert. Die herzlichen Gastgeber sind sehr hilfreich. Die geschichtsträchtige Umgebung lädt zu vielen Entdeckungen ein. Einfach wunderbar. Ein kleines Paradies.

Lovely escape from the rat race

A big thank you to Annie and Jean Paul for their warm welcome and pointers for places to go and visit. This is a super, traditional rustic building, built be Jean Paul. Don't expect all the latest mod-cons but there's all you need to be perfectly comfortable while you enjoy the peace (crickets aside) of rural France. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Gîte idéale pour les amoureux de la nature.

Idéalement situé pour visiter les sites historiques. La maison est vraiment agréable et originale .Jardin et piscine superbe. Tranquilité garantie.Aucuns vis à vis .
