Our favourite place in Marbella

We have stayed in many apartments in the Skol complex but once we found this one, we have never stayed anywhere else! On the second floor overlooking the tropical pool gardens, it's a pleasure to sit on the comfortable balcony with a book. Thoughtfully decorated with a well equipped kitchen, you'll find everything you need to enjoy a wonderful holiday!

As advertised - well maintained, stunning view, close to beach, cafes, restaurants. Aparmtent fully equiped, very comfy - certainly worth recommending. Truely enjoyed our short stay at this appartment, and really would like to come back soon. Really pleased to had a chance to stay there.

Dream holiday

The location is great, walking distance from everything you would need. Maskom supermarket just 2 blocks away, an enormous park across the street and right on the beach. The flat is well equiped. Loved it!☀️

Great location, apartment needs a refresh

The apartment is situated in a great location. The skol apartment complex is right on the beach and has great facilities and pool area. However the apartment was very dirty upon arrival, the bathroom was very unhygienic and the bedroom window gave little privacy as the blind had holes in it and also was covered in stains. Communication with Anna, the owner, was great and she was very understanding however some aspects of the apartment were misleading. The balcony door also does not properly lock which we felt very uncomfortable with, only being on the second floor. The apartment could be amazing with its location and facilities but is in dire need of a proper clean and refurbishment.

AVOID-UNLESS YOU LIKE TO STAY IN SQUALOR

Upon arrival, we found the property to be VERY dirty. The kitchen appliances had not been cleaned for some time. The oven was covered in ground in grease, the oven tray had burnt on melted food and there was an open, half used bottle of water in the fridge. The cupboards were also really grotty. The bathroom had half used shower gel from the previous occupant, there was bird poo all over the balcony table and the cushions on the sofa were stained. I contacted the host to tell her of my disappointment, and, although she was initially helpful, her promising me that she would send the cleaner straight back did not come to fruition. Myself and my 82 year old mum returned after the cleaner was supposed to attend to find the apartment in the same condition as when we left. I have never stayed in a place so dirty, and, despite the low price, there should be some level of acceptable cleanliness. The host refused to refund us so we could book anywhere else and basically called us liars and told us if we were not happy we should book another place!! I have photographic evidence that I could have shown her for her to appreciate how bad it was but she was not willing to provided with a way to show her!! Such poor customer service and absolutely disgusting property! Please also see review below this one which basically says the same!! If you have booked, I suggest you cancel and rebook elsewhere. We have visited the Skol many times and would not recommend anyone stay here!

Excellent location

The location is fantastic with easy walking to everything, supermarkets , restaurants and beach. The pool and gardens are well run with no towels on beds allowed to reserve spaces.... Their are some maintenance issues which need addressing and have been in contact with the owner about and hopefully they have been addressed.

Extremely comfortable stay

We stayed in Baytree cottage for a week. The accommodation was well presented with great attention to detail. The beds and seating areas were very comfortable with enough space for us all to relax. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to work in. Outside there is plenty of seating with a view over the large garden. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay in this fantastic property, spotlessly clean and tidy. The main bedroom is huge and the bed very comfortable , we only used the upstairs shower which was fine, the underfloor heating was a delight and we were cosy and snug, just one very slight niggle we felt that for a self catering cottage it could use another storage cupboard in the kitchen for food etc. That said we had a great time and Gilli is a lovely lady very helpful and kind ...the 10 minute walk to Chichester Marina is well worth it I could go on and on thanks again for a wonderful week.

A beautiful property in a beautiful location. We stayed during storm Dennis and a week of eventful weather and had the most wonderful time with our daughter and grandson. Lovely property

Lovely property- everything provided for down to complimentary toiletries. A very comfortable stay and enjoyed looking out and seeing the wildlife including squirrels and a fox. Would definitely return! Thank you Gillie!

Wonderful Christmas stay

Baytree cottage is a beautiful barn in a great village. The barn was warm, comfy & well equipped set within lovely grounds. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the locals were so friendly. We would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you Gillie

Absolutely amazing, very clean and tidy

From beginning to end we were made to feel welcome by Gillie, the cottage was spotless and was very well equipped. We didn't need for anything. Our son very much enjoyed playing football outside. The lamb just up the road is a nice place to eat and they have a cool outdoor play area. Highly recommend this cottage we would definitely go back.

The apartment was adequate, lovely balcony, kitchen missing small items such as coffee maker, cooking utensils, large bowls. All in all we had a very nice stay, the location of the skol building is phenomenal. Would recommmend.

Superb holiday cottage

What a delightful cottage! We were so comfortable and made very welcome by the owner and if there had been any problems she was more than happy for us to contact her. Spotlessly clean and although we didn't cook there was plenty of equipment to do so. We spent 9 days there and really didn't want to leave. A pretty garden with garden furniture and stunning views out onto a vast expanse. Thoroughly recommend a stay there.

Perfect for family get together.

Rented both cottages to meet up with our family. Could not have chosen a better location. Our two grandsons 2&4 loved the freedom of the meadow and also watching wildlife, woodpeckers, pheasant,lots of insects and not forgetting George the dog who was also on holiday at the owners house and who came to visit when he was out for a walk and brought his ball so that the boys could throw it for him. The cottages were very well equipped and very clean. This is a tranquil place to be and will look forward to returning in the future.

This was a superb property : spotlessly clean, exceptionally well appointed and very comfortable. It was situated in a beautiful garden and very quiet. It was near to Chichester, the Marina and lots of places of interest. We would love to stay here again. The owner was very helpful.

Better than home!

What a lovely cottage, so well equipped its like home from home ..... But better! The location, the setting (the weather) were all perfect. We loved our short stay and have decided to go back again one day. It's a great base for exploring the area, with lots to see and do. Highly recommended.
