Relaxing and memorable

The cabin was absolutely charming! It was a bit small for our family but we’d been told that ahead of time and we made it work. The important thing was our time together. The cabin was welcoming and friendly. There was a note welcoming us and goodies for s’mores. We tried using the pontoon and knew it had some problems idling but we used it for seating and shade for our grandsons so it worked out just fine. We caught lots of fish. Some keepers. We all enjoyed catching and releasing many. Our son in law even fished giving us plenty of laughs. Another son in law and daughter slept in the tree house. They loved it! We would definitely recommend this cabin!

This cabin was cozy and quaint. Exactly what we were looking for for a quiet family getaway before the craziness of school starting! The kitchen was well stocked with all your basic needs. The cabin was clean and inviting! The kayaks and paddle boat were a blast and we had a great time fishing, although the fish were very small, they were still fun to catch!

The property was just as described. It was very clean and the cabin was stocked with many items to make our stay easier. Tasty treats were at the cabin when we got there. The view was awesome. There were blue herons, loons, Canadian geese and bald eagles around us all the time and birds singing constantly We caught bluegills, sunfish, crappies and a northern pike and missed some nice bass The use of the jon boat, kayaks and paddle boat made this a fun filled trip. We went to Yeti's for ice cream, delicious! The hosts were absolutely wonderful!

Peaceful Getaway

This was our first time renting a lakehouse. Carrie made it an easy process. Everything was orderly and clean. Pros: 3 kayaks, 1 canoe for guest use Shallow lake, safe for kids PFD's, fishing gear were available for us Outdoor dining table on deck was great for outdoor meals 2 bedrooms were comfortable Campfire area with a bench IGA and gas station were 15 minutes away Fishing was awesome one hour before sunset Cons: Sofa bed was a bit lumpy Mobile reception was really spotty Highly recommend this property. We felt safe because there were no speed boats on the water. The lake was quite shallow (1-3 feet, 6-7 feet the deepest parts). There were no pets in the neighborhood which made it very quiet and peaceful. The homes were located on one side of the lake, so your view was quite nice. Towels, utensils, and condiments were provided. Lots of cookware and dishware in the kitchen. The stove is gas, powered with propane. There is a pizza oven which made cooking our pizza very easy.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this perfect little cottage. From the awesome fishing, beautiful sunsets, and the quiet bonfires at night! Our kids, (7 & 10) enjoyed catching “the biggest fish of their lives” right off the dock! To my 7 year old’s defense, a 20 inch northern is a big fish to catch! The owners are amazing to work with, they answered all of our questions and were available anytime we needed something. You won’t need much, as they provide almost everything you’d need! We would rent here again, and are already considering putting in a request for next summer. Perfect getaway for families looking to escape for a few days and relax! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your cottage, we look forward to next summer!

Very relaxing

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was cozy and clean. We enjoyed the deck and it’s great view of the lake. The fishing was good no matter what time we were out there. The lake was peaceful and quiet. The kids enjoyed their freedom of having the kids cabin to play in.

Loving Lake Life

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this cottage! Our 9 year old ran down to the dock each morning to fish on his own while we prepared breakfast on the deck. The lake was calm and quite enough that our newly 7 year old took the kayak out for her first solo paddle! Our 11 year old enjoyed retreating to the treehouse and we all enjoyed our time to slow down and take in nature and each other!

Relaxing Family Vacation

This cozy lake cottage was perfect for our family getaway. Fishing off the dock and s'mores by the campfire were some of our favorite activities. The lake views and sunsets were beautiful and we were sad to have to leave them behind. There was an unexpected issue with the well pump during our stay but the property owners were accommodating and handled it great! We would recommend this property to family and friends.

We live in Oshkosh WI. Our story of this cottage is very special to us, in that my husband's grandparents built this cottage in 1963. They transported all the building supplies up from Oshkosh WI in their little station wagon. Just as they finished the property, a lightening storm hit the cottage and it burnt to the ground. With not yet owning insurance on the property, it was very difficult, but they, again, rebuilt the cottage as it is today and built on the bathroom the 2nd time around. Years later, when my husband and I were dating and attending college, the cottage was sold outside the family. This was very difficult for my husband, as he grow up fishing and vacationing on this property. He was very close to his grandparents. It was sold in 1993 to a bar owner from Milwaukee. This owner mainly used the cottage as a get-away to gamble at the local casino. He never walked down to the lake to fish. Years later, my husband was gambling at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay and was sitting next to the gentleman that purchased his Grandpa's cottage. Long story short, we ended up buying the cottage back into the family! When we stepped into the cottage, nothing had changed. The fireplace that exists today was built by my husband's grandpa. Many treasures existed as they did year's prior. Our entire extended family enjoys the memories that exist here! We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do every time we come!

This cottage is a very relaxing get-away, yet offers so much to do. During the day, you can travel to the local beaches for some volleyball and waterskiing. We enjoy Lake Metonga for these adventures! There is so much to do in the area from Watermelon Days in Eagle River, every Monday - the Flea Market in St Germain to the rustic movie theater in Rhinelander WI on rainy days! During the evening, we love to come back and enjoy watching the kids fish and enjoy the sunset by the campfire!
