Basic accommodation

The property is basic and a bit tired. Cold in winter, suggest bringing extra heating. Beds particularly basic. Not much to do around Lowestoft. Probably ok for economic family summer stays. Not complaining but not suitable for us.

Served as a basic base to travel from

The mobile home was clean. The park is not in a very attractive spot. It is advertised as by the beach. It is by the sea but the large adjacent sea wall blocks all sea views and access and there is no actual beach within a 10 minute walk. There is a huge Birds Eye factory next door. Prior to booking it is clear that linen is not provided. However, it was not clear until after booking that you are also expected to provide all 'basic household essentials' As well as linen be prepared to take. tea towels, toilet roll, bath mat, washing up liquid, soap, washing up cloth, even a bread knife (the only one there was a veg knife). Also although it sleeps 6 there are only 4 dining chairs. Also note there is still no kitchen blind as per the previous review. Overall not quite what we were expecting as an attractive spot for a beachy holiday

kicthen needs updating no blind up in kicthen used a blanket it was freezing

gas run out for the night was freezing its not down to holiday makers to sort it out

Quiet area very close to the beach

A good suitable caravan for a family to stay in with everything provided, except linen, but this is stated when booking. A quiet holiday resort, lovely sandy beaches in walking distance. Not a great deal of entertainment for teenage children, but if a beach is required for a young child it's perfect. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want a lot of tourists. Our first time staying in a caravan, would definitely book again. Very enjoyable holiday

Nice caravan abit tired furniture

I love the site ,caravan needs a deep clean and a change of sofas ,bed very comfortable, a few upgrades would make it worth its money.the shower was hard to regulate temperature, needs a convector over cooker.and kitchen window has blown ,needs replacing but i would be happy to stay here again ,i have been coming to this site for over 50yrs and stayed in many of the caravans.so im just weighing up costs with comfort.

Great little caravan in a very quiet little place. Extremely tidy and comfortable and right on the beach which was great for evening walks. Great location also for yarmouth, Caister and Lowestoft

A few days away.

Overall it was a good stay. I do think the caravan is a bit tired in places, the double bed has a bend in the middle so you roll into the centre of the bed ( not good for your back) I know it’s a dog friendly place and we took our dogs but it did have a doggy smell when we turned up.

Lovely spacious caravan

Lovely caravan. Location was great too. No family entertainment on site though, and no launderette. Ideal for us as a family of 5 though.

Dated caravan - caravan site disappointing

Caravan was very dated and smelt of stale smoke.... but was ok just for 2 nights (After we'd sprayed it with air freshener and opened up the windows and doors). Couldn't get tv to work in bedroom. Nothing to do on site.... no park or playing area for kids, no club house and no shop on site! Nearest beach was very small and pebbley so had to drive to next beach which didn't have much there. Drove to Hemsby and Great Yarmouth for days out and entertainment, which was 30 minute drive! Was tidy and clean apart from dog hairs when you pulled sofa bed out. Was a last minute booking and didn't research enough due to limited availability! We were kept up to date by text with booking though.

No amenities on site, no entertainment, no shops , have to contact.firm by phone, no facilities

Property was fine , would not advise families with young children to stay, the video brochure showed swimming pools, entertainment and facilities, none of which are on this caravan park, just caravans, and nothing else, I had a issue with the quilt, went to reception and was told that they did not deal with the rentals and to contact the supplier by phone, there's is absolutely nothing on this park

Lodge looks old and tired and cleaness was very poor. Had to get cleaners in after we arrived

Lodge didn't match pictures on the web site,we almost left to come home as we were very disappointed on our arrival. Outside table rarely rusty and gate was a bit of ply wood that had seen better days and inside ,on opening door nasty smell of damp ,some blinds ,toilet holder broken ,found a quilt in the cupboard which smelt discusteding. as it was a upper market property we fell it should have not been rented out. What property manager .hope some one will respond to this message.

A little dated, beds springy, enjoyed our stay, would go back as the dogs had a wonderful time, lovely park, opposite, food good at the Italian, and Indian at the top of the hill, nice and quiet 🤫

Quiet Site.

The location was nice and quiet, which was good for us as we had a vulnerable person in our party. The location is very out of the way though. Website states a 5 min walk to quiet beach and 15 min walk to popular beach. This is not correct at all ,it is at least a 20 min walk to the quiet beach and over 45 mins to the popular one. We had to drive to both as our vulnerable member couldn't manage these. A bit disappointing really as we were looking for something right on the beach as stated. Caravan was pretty old and tatty . Had to ask for it to be cleaned again, as not covid safe. It was comfortable though just for 2 nights. Wouldn't have stayed any longer. The booking process was very easy and staff were very accommodating.

weekend break

we were pleasantly surprised by the lay out & home comforts at the caravan.It was situated in a very quiet & friendly campsite within a short walk to a lovely park and restaurants. Just a shame that the immediate beach had been closed due to broken concrete in the sea.
