Great location for getting around, fully equipped

Single traveler. I stayed almost 2 weeks in the 1 bedroom. (The owner also has a 2 bedroom next it. Both face a small courtyard, no street noise. A courtyard like this is common in Paris. You enter a code on a keypad at the door to enter from the street, and it's quiet, even when others who have a code go through. And only you have an actual door key to your private rental unit.) Having WiFi + washer/dryer + cooktop + microwave + dishwasher + refrigerator and separate bedroom made it easy to relax after a long day out, and cook simple dishes or get takeaway at the many nearby restaurants. Two Metro lines within 5 to 10 minutes walking. I would not hesitate to stay here again! (I used WiFi for my own movies, but there's pay channels on the cable, and free music. Mobility Note: This is a ground level apartment, but not totally mobility friendly. The door at the street (where you enter a code in the keypad) doesn't go all the way to the floor. You need to step over a raised part. (Wheelchair unfriendly.) Similarly, there are three or four steps down from the inside courtyard -- no handrail -- before you get to your front door.

Propriétaire accueillant, gîte tel que décris dans l'annonce, propre et très sécuritaire. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour et nous gardons cette adresse comme référence pour un futur séjour.

Buena ubicación, malos olores

La ubicación está bien y el apartamento es correcto, zona tranquila. No tiene apenas ventilación ni aire acondicionado y huele muy mal a humedad y tuberias. Además hace un calor exagerado hay que estar con dos ventiladores que son insuficientes.

We like the Marais and this apartment

Very quiet apartment even with the windows open at night. Apartment in close proximity to Metro trains and close to great restaurants and fresh food shops (Rue de Bretagne). Only down side was no air conditioning but there were 2 fans and with the windows open it was reasonably comfortable. Bed very comfortable. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Excellent !!!!

The location is superb surrounded by historical sites. It opens to the Museum of Picasso. The apartment is suitable for 2 guests and complete in appliances with sufficient heaters. It is a landmark on its own. We enjoyed our stay.

Très bon séjour à Paris

Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce petit appartement au coeur du quartier du MARAIS, très simplement équipé mais il ne manque rien. C'est parfaitement calme et sans vis à vis malgré le fait que l'appartement soit en rez de chaussée. Grande douche appréciable et machine à laver séchant. La Rue de Bretagne toute proche est idéal pour trouver un bon restaurant, des épiceries et surtout le marché chaque jour. Merci encore de nous avoir permis de séjour dans le Marais.

Great location apartment in the heart of Paris.

Awesome location in the middle of Les Marais--walking distance to art galleries/shops, restaurants, bars, shopping. Easy access to an excellent subway system that takes you anywhere else you want to go. Apartment sleeps 2 comfortably. Large bathroom. Great.

Disgusting Cat Litter Smell

The apartment was nice but the overwhelming cat litter or cat piss smell coming from the bathroom was so disgusting that we had to leave after 2 nights. I told the owner about it on the second day and he told me it was from the sewer. It was not coming from the sewer, the smell was coming from under the sink in the bathroom as if the cat pissed on the wall and they couldn't get the smell out. We were also expecting the apartment to have two twin beds as the pictures show either a queen bed or two twin beds. The owner told me this unit had a queen bed and not two twin beds. I believe this is because the owner owns two units (one with a queen and one with two twins). If you rent this make sure you ask if the unit you are renting has either a queen or two twins. The owner was nice enough to refund the rest of the time we had reserved but it was a major inconvenience to have to get reservations at a hotel and have to move.

Safe, Clean, Modern, Comfortable, & Great Location!!

The 1 bedroom apt has everything u need and so much more. Ideal location !!! We walked everywhere. The Owner responds quickly and is very easy to work with . Apt is new, modern, clean, in a quiet, very safe complex. Beds are comfortable, even the sofa bed. Shower is large and theres plenty of hot water. It’s such a treat to have a well working, washer & dryer. There’s also a dishwasher, however we used it as a dish dryer more so. Ideal for 1 or two people. 3 adults over 3 days maybe a bit crowded. The only things to note, the wall next to the two bedroom apt is thin, u will hear overly loud speakers. Closet space depending on the packer maybe limited. We didn’t find a place to hang clothes. However this was not issue for us . As there were plenty of shelves for r folded clothes for r week stay. The apt also can be a bit warm, we had the windows open most of time in mid-March . Neither of these call outs would prevent us from staying here again. Which we hope we will do some day in the future. Thanks again Jean for sharing this wonderful apt in your beautiful city.

We loved the apartment! It was great to stay at Jean’s apartment and we will definitely stay there again next time in Paris. Jean was very nice, polite and helpful host. Apartment is small but you have everything needed for your stay (we are a family of 3). Apartment is perfectly located, we loved the neighborhood.

Can't say enough about the quality, location and comfort of this apartment. Very comfortable flat. Very quiet on a garden. Close Picasso Museum , groceries and restaurants. Would recommend it to anyone. We would do it all over again.

Quiet and functional

The apartment is in a great location, quiet & functional, on arrival we were given the keys and basic info about the flat then left alone. Xavier and Gene were a great host - always available on email & all requests were dealt with immediately. This is not a hotel, there is no room service, but what you do get is the opportunity to experience an authentic Parisian lifestyle, after a couple of days it felt like home - we stayed for 6 nights and would have loved to stay longer! Thanks for a great stay, next time we come to Paris we hope to stay in your apartment again.

this is a great apartment in a really nice location

We stayed here for a week and found it to be spacious, clean, and well stocked with everything you might need. The building was very quiet at night and the layout of the apartment is very nice with enough room to spread out. It is within walking distance of the Marais so it was just perfect! Jean was very responsive to every inquiry, gave great directions, and responded quickly to all emails. Thank you, Jean, for a lovely stay in your beautiful city. I highly recommend this apartment!

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The MARAIS area is the most wonderful place to stay in Paris. The apartment itself is much smaller than it appears in the pictures but it was clean and had all of the amenities you could need for a short stay. The bed was also very comfortable. Close to cafes and the metro. A great place to stay while in Paris. All was fantastic! I want to return immediately!

Small apartment in the Marais, but perfect

We stayed in the both apartments in July : first stay in the 1 bedroom, second stay in the 2 bedrooms apartment. It was clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. I was met on time by the owner’’s representative, who answered all my questions. The apartment has a washing machine + dryer and it is great since I only travel with a carry on bag. Le MARAIS is quiet and very safe. Many excellent resturants on Rue de BRETAGNE, few bakeries within a few hundred feet, and a fruit market (Le MARCHE des ENFANTS ROUGE) that will squeeze fresh orange juice each morning, is around the corner. One can walk to many of the sights of Paris. Apartment is perfect. The bathroom has a shower. This is a wonderful apartment, and at the price for the location cant be beaten. I have stayed in Paris over a dozen times, and considering all factors, this is a 5 Star property. Heartily recommend.

The location was perfect! We felt safe and it was very convenient to the bus or metro.

The hosts were great all along! They were attentive to anything we needed and the place was modern, clean, and perfect for our needs. The one bedroom is perfect for a couple plus one adult or child. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. The washer/dryer is an added bonus. We would stay here again and recommend it!

Paris apartment

I loved the apartment. The location was perfect for us. It was quiet and very clean. Jean et Xavier were excellent in communicating. One small problem was that it was very hot in the apartment. We had one fan and could have used another. Also a shelf or small end table would have been helpful.
