The lily pad has an idyllic location, Bideford is a great base to visit many of the places I wanted to. The property was clean and well appointed. The off road parking next to the property is a bonus. The outside space has plenty of seating and relaxing areas. You can sit and eat on the top deck by the property or sit watching the river with a glass of your favorite tipple. The communication from the host was very good, from directions, check in etc. Richard was also helpful with local places to eat. We would definitely stay again.

The visitors' book indicates that lots of people return to this property again and again and you can see why. It is at an idyllic location on the River Avon and we spent a happy day just sitting and watching the world and the wildlife (lucky enough to see a kingfisher) go by which was very peaceful. The property is very well equipped. It is next door to a pub and a restaurant and opposite various takeaways and is in a good location for lots of nearby towns to visit. We will aim to return at a different time of the year.

We had a lovely 3 nights here - the property is lovely to relax in and is wonderfully located to visit a whole host of tourist attractions. The village has shops and highly recommend the Bridge restaurant. A really lovely break, and a pleasure to recommend this lovely property.
