The location is nice and a very quick, reasonable walk from the Ploce gate and beach. You can get to everything you need from there. There are some stairs to get back to the unit from the old town, but not terrible. Different stairs upon arrival/departure with luggage for 4 people, traveling for a few weeks, was not easy, but the owner did assist, which was helpful. The view and location are the high points for this location. The host was nice and shared grappa and many stories of his with us upon our arrival. The negatives for this location are that it does have air conditioning in one bedroom , and the main living room, but one of the 2 bedrooms does not. Being a top floor unit of this building, this room gets very warm in the hot summer, and does not cool down sufficiently, even with open windows at night. Additionally there is a dance club just inside the city wall that is maybe 100? yards from the unit. This dance club, thumps loud bass music until the wee hours of the morning and it is definitely audible in the unit. If you're a light sleeper, this is not ideal. I was awake until 2 something one night hearing it, On our last night in town, we had to leave at 4:30 am to make it to the airport on time. The music was still going and non stop bumping bass as we left. This makes for a really long day of travel if you haven't slept well. The faint stale smell of smoke in the unit is not a bonus.Main bathroom door does not stay closed.

Great spot in town!

Some friends and I stayed a couple of nights at Casa Vanna on our arrival in Croatia. The apartment is great, well equipped and comfortable and in an absolutely perfect location with stunning views. The owner, Jimmy was so welcoming and delightful and we really enjoyed talking with him. It was truly a perfect introduction to wonderful Croatia!

great location

The apartment property was in a great location for easy access to the old town, and Jimmy was a wonderful host. The unit could use some needed upkeep as there were a number of small issues that started adding up, a good example being the hall bathroom latch unable to keep the bathroom door closed. Beautiful visit in a gorgeous city.

Perfect Stay

Our family had a perfect stay at Casa Vanna. Jimmy was incredibly welcoming - greeting us and welcoming us with grappa and some sweets and making us feel at home. The property was perfect for our needs - very close to old town, beautiful views, and wonderful outside space as well. The listing and photos accurately portray what you will find on arrival and Casa Vanna met all of our needs. We would definitely stay again when we return to Dubrovnik. Thanks.

Great location

Casa Vanna is in an excellent location just outside the Plotce gate and near Banje Beach. It’s also very near the base of the cable car. The view is spectacular. The patio is lovely as well. Jimmy was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed this as our home base for our trip with our two teens, my mom and my husband. There are definitely stairs, but that’s Dubrovnik for you!

Dubrovnik

The owner was great and welcomed my family to his home. He was very helpful. The only negative I have is with Andriagate the co that books for the owner. They were very hard to deal with to check in and would have been better to deal direct with the owner.

Dubrovnik vacation

When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the owner, Jimmy!! He showed us the apartment, told us a lot of interesting stories and shared some of him homemade grappa with us. The location is just outside the walls of the Old City with beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea behind the city. Literally a two minute walk to the Old City and to the beach. The apartment also has a terrace that was nice to sit on in the evening with a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this apartment.
