Lovely peaceful cottage in the country, warm comfortable and goood quality fittings and equipment. Sauna was great and wood fire cosy.

didn't live up to expectations

Fire was not laid, had the remains of an old fire. Sofas had seen better days and weren't very comfy at all. Usually when I go away there is a book of walks but there was nothing to show where we could walk. Once again usually there are books and games to play but there was nothing other than an old jigsaw and an incomplete pack of cards. Duvets were poor quality having areas where there was no filling so bits of you were getting cold and bits were too warm. Pillows were really insubstantial too. I also found all the emails regarding portals and guide books and downloading this book and uploading VIP passes etc etc etc just complicated the whole event.

Beautiful location and so quiet

Beautiful location and so quiet. The cottage was lovely and big. There was a welcome package, consisting of wine, milk, butter, loaf of bread and biscuits. All very welcome. All the bedrooms were beautifully decorated. The only room that could have been better would be the larger upstairs bedroom it had no drawers. That would have made our holiday so much easier. Also there was only two sun loungers in the garden when there was three adults staying at the cottage. There are activities within the site, which is nice to have available. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Family Holiday.

Ivy Cottage was in a good location for us to visit places and was situated on a nice site with walks, table football, table tennis and a sauna had just been opened before we left, but we didn't have time to try. Ivy Cottage did however lack a few things, more mugs and a sharp knife set would have been good for preparing veg etc...for cooking. The settees need replacing as one side you sunk into the seat. There were quite a few cobwebs, one bin had not been emptied in one of the shower rooms and opened sweet packages found in one bedroom drawer. One day when we returned we found the door open of the Woodfired hot tub, so had gone cold and never got round to trying. Saying all this we did have a lovely stay with the family, just a few updates required.

Perfect accommodation for family wedding stay

The cottage was set in a wonderful location and everything for a really comfortable stay had been thought of, especially milk in the fridge for a cup of tea on arrival. We really appreciated fans in each bedroom as we were staying in 30+ degrees. The only thing lacking was an outside umbrella for the patio table. We will definitely be returning with the wider family for another stay.

Visit to Ivy Cottage

Lovely comfortable cottage with an excellent hot tub. Quiet and relaxing but close enough to places to visit. It had everything we needed in the kitchen including staples ( eg oil & seasonings ) which was nice and there was a good selection of goodies left for us including milk for a cuppa! Very welcoming for the dog with a good enclosed garden and some nice walks down the river.

Great stay at Ivy Cottage

We stayed at Ivy Cottage for the weekend and had a great stay. The house was the perfect size and layout for a gathering. We enjoyed the hot tub and views! Each room had its own en-suite and the house manager was very responsive during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing stay!

We stayed for my mums 60th birthday. 6 adults a baby and a dog and would return in a heartbeat! All the rooms were immaculate, everything was perfect, super clean and comfortable for us all. The gardens and surrounding area were so well kept and we even made apple crumble from the tree outside! We know we will be booking again when we can as we had the most perfect stay.

Lovely family holiday!

We had a great family reunion at Ivy Cottage and made lots of lasting memories. The cottage was very comfortable and the welcome pack of milk, bread etc and goodies for our dog was very much appreciated. Only negative comment would be the kitchen is not well equipped, a few more mugs and glasses would be good to safe washing up or running the dishwasher twice a day! Good location with some nice pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend for a great family holiday.

Beautiful cottage, stunning location and secure for dogs

Ivy cottage is set in a beautiful area with several other cottages but they are positioned so that you have privacy and are not overlooked by the other cottages. We had 2 dogs with us and the gardens are very secure so we didn't have to worry about them escaping. The bedrooms all have ensuite and are all very well thought out The hot tub is wood fired and did take a while to heat up but was lovley. You should be aware that it is not temperature controlled so can get very hot. The surrounding area is beautiful with some lovely walks and pubs if you don't mind a long walk. Eiukd highly recommend and would definitely go back

Lovely location

On arriving at Ivy cottage you are blown away by the location - it is in a beautiful quiet spot - the cottage on entry is very well laid out and welcoming - however on closer inspection it was a little tired in places, the couches need replacing very grubby and no support especially the large cream one, throws and pillows on same need chucking as not very hygienic The whole cottage needs a good dusting on top of lights and areas shower heads etc. places that probably don’t need a regular dust but do need a good spring clean once in a while. We had a heatwave on our week and would of loved sun brolly - we found two round back but were covered in dirt and spiders and needed replacing or cleaning before use - and maybe a couple of sunbeds

I only gave a 3 for value has it was expensive for April. However I think this was because of the Heating which was on 24hrs per day and the place was really warm. The TV was a challenge. Overhaul excellant

Perfect Weekend Away, we wish we could have stayed for longer. We will be back!

We stayed at Ivy Cottage for 2 nights and honestly we couldn't fault it. From the moment we got there we were blown away. The property was finished to such a high standard and was really clean. There was even a welcome basket with treat waiting for us on arrival. Even though there we other properties on the farm we weren't over looked and felt very private. The gardens we well kept and the hot tub really made the stay. The garden was also enclosed so we could let the dog run free. It was much more than what we expected and we will defiantly be booking again.

A lovely property

This was our second stay and it did not dissapoint. The property is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, the beds and bedding are lovely. The kitchen has everything you could need and our Tesco delivery worked well. We loved the barn with table football and ping pong. The river is very close though due to flooding we couldn't quite get to it this time. Faringdon, only a few minutes away was lovely, especially the folly on the hill, Sadlers cafe and the craft emporium (lovely gifts etc, not crafting supplies). We also really enjoyed the White Horse (National Trust car park) and the village of Bampton where some of Downton Abbey was filmed. But best of all was coming back to the hot tub! It did take quite a bit of heating but it was well worth it! Thank you for our lovely stay, we hope to be back soon!

Lovely property, well maintained in a peaceful location perfect for our Christmas break, larger oven would have been ideal as not quite big enough for the turkey and we were just 4 people.

Gorgeous spacious cottage

It's rare to find a self-catering cottage that ticks so many boxes. Comfy beds, luxury bed linen, powerful showers, underfloor heating, well-equipped kitchen and an amazing hot tub. We enjoyed the hub and spent some time playing table tennis. Ivy cottage was a great base for exploring and hope to return.
