Flat Downtown OCV - 5min Beach

Garden Hill Downtown has two bedrooms served with a bathtub, which has whirlpool functionality. The two bedrooms are spacious and are configured with a double bed each. There is also a second bathroom with a shower. The third bedroom is ideal for children, two single beds in a drawer. The spacious living room is fully equipped with a flat-screen TV, soundbar, a sofa and dining area. It also has an area with a pool table. The apartment has cable TV in the living room and master bedroom, fibre optic Internet and free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a charming, quite large balcony that gives access to the living room. With views of the surrounding gardens and surrounding areas.

It is here that the iconic view of the Old Town can be appreciated whilst having your breakfast.

The apartment is located on the -1 floor, however the view corresponds to a 2nd floor, it has to do with the inclination of the building.

The pool has a wooden deck and sun loungers around the pool, which also includes a children's pool. It is a great place to lie in the sun, relax and read or dive into the pool to cool off.

The Apartment is 400m from Peneco Beach and 600m from Fishermen's Beach and is ideal for those who want to enjoy a holiday without using the car, as it has all facilities within a short walking distance, such as supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops and many other services, such as pharmacies. The taxi rank and Hop On / Hop Off Albufeira are a five-minute walk away. There is parking in front of the condominium for guests with a car.

The famous beaches of Salgados, Galé and São Rafael are just a ten-minute drive away. This beautiful apartment is suitable for all ages. If you are looking for an action-packed holiday, a peaceful beach experience, water sports, sailing, golf, hiking, horse riding, wine tasting, great meals and exploration of the Algarve Region, Garden Hill Old Town has the ideal location. Albufeira Marina is 1.1 km away and the Oura area is 2.5 km away.

Really nice and a lot of space.

Clean, spacious and really nice en central location and view. The beds were a little hard. New beds the rest is great!

We had a wonderful time at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal – peaceful and private, yet close enough to walk to (5 mins approx) local attractions, shops, and restaurants. Our host was fantastic – responded swiftly to any queries i had prior to our arrival and was welcoming, and thoughtful. The little touches like a welcome basket were greatly appreciated on our arrival and made us feel right at home. Nice apartment in good location. Shame about the bathrooms

Very spacious and clean and a short walk (albeit up/down a steep hill) to the bars and restaurants of the Old Town. Well equipped kitchen although things like bin liners and more than 2 dish washer tablets would have been appreciated. Basic condiments would also have been good. Only real negative were the bathrooms. One very small and near front door rather than adjacent to bedrooms. The other had a fancy jacuzzi but no shower (or at least no shower curtain - just a wall shower attachment that sprayed into the middle of the bathroom). Probably ok for a family but as we were two couples sharing the apartment full individual bathrooms would have been better. Pool table needs levelling!

OCVillas, Albufeira und Condominio Garden Hill Bloco B/Apartment L (Erdgeschoss), Maria Teresa Semed

Kein persönlicher Empfang durch OCVillas. Genaue Adresse und Wohnungsübernahmeprozedere (Codes für Schlüsselboxen Bloco B und Apartment L) wurden uns per Mail mitgeteilt. Einige wichtige Mängel an der Wohnung sind Schimmelbefall, unhygienische Verschmutzung, muffige Gerüche und Unterhaltsdefizite an der Wohnung etc. Keine Wohnung zum geniessen, krankheitsgefährdender Zustand. Die Wohnungsvermittlerin OCVillas gab zu, dass die Wohnung von einer Überschwemmung betroffen war und die Renovation wegen fehlender Versicherungszusage noch nicht erfolgen konnte. Nach einer Woche verliessen wir die Wohnung und flogen in die Schweiz zurück. OCVillas erstattete uns nur einen sehr kleinen Mietbetrag zurück. Offeriert wurde zusätzlich ein geringer Gutschein für einen zukünftigen Aufenthalt in einer ihren Wohnungen. Gültigkeit bis 31.7.2025. Diesen haben wir zurückgewiesen, da kein weiterer Aufenthalt an der Algarve geplant mehr ist. Fazit: Kundenunfreundliche Betreuung vor Ort durch OCVillas. Keine Kulanz oder Unterstützung bei Abbruch des Aufenthaltes. Der einwöchige Aufenthalt kostete uns einige tausende Euros. Sehr dreckige Wohnung mit krankheitserregenden Feuchtigkeits- und Schimmelbefall. Wohnung dürfte in diesem Zustand nicht vermietet werden. Unser Autovermieter Luzcar mit Sitz in Lagos war dagegen sehr kulant und berechnete uns nur 1 Woche Miete für das Auto.

Dear Kurt, we pleased to answer your feedback. Regarding the maintenance that needed to be done in the apartment, we were waiting for the insurance to cover the water damages we had, and the insurance company was obviously controlling the leak, in order to avoid any health hazard to our guests, and comply with the health & safety requirements. In fact the work took a little longer, as we had guests coming in and out every day basically. We believe that both parties are aware that you're suddenly and unexpected departure did not have anything to do with the apartment's maintenance, however in order to get to a resolution to the situation, we refunded part of the amount and was offered a 1/3 of the amount paid to use as a credit till 31/7/2025 in the same property, which it's now free from the infiltration, and we have addressed some bits and pieces. We're sorry you didn't want to give it another chance to our beautiful and sunny Algarve. Our main goal is to provide a pleasant experience for our guests and solve anything that may happen as soon as possible. My Portugal Experience agency Team

Great view from a spacious apartment.

The view is lovely, the kitchen well equipped, the rooms nice. We would definitely book it again. Especially if you have a child or go to the beach often, there is a lot of sand / dirt / food on the floor fairly quickly. Unfortunately, there is no broom or other cleaning equipment to clean the mess up. Maybe this could be added. The mattresses both seem old. One is very load (a plastic sound) and the other one has springs inside that hurt if you lay a certain way.

Lovely apartment, well equipped, residential area though

The apartment looks just like the photographs, downside, it was located up a steep hill so you need to be fairly fit and as i stated it is residential, apart from that no complaints, lovely pool (although the toilet near the pool needed toilet roll, hand wash and air freshener)
