Location was Great

Brilliant location, good for a family stay

My husband and I stayed at this property with our two young kids last week. The property manager was waiting for us when we arrived. The apartment was spacious, clean, bright and warm. It’s within walking distance of the London eye, sea life aquarium, London dungeon & many others, along with puns, cafes and grocery.

Good base for exploring London

We stayed here for four days in May. It was a good base for exploring London. The apartment was very clean and neat. The location was very good for us, as it is about a block from the walkway along the Thames, which is very nice, and also provides good access to some of the major attractions in London. Also good access to tube stations/transit.

A bit disappointed

For what we paid not good value a lot of things done on the cheap. Bathroom not painted properly. Most doors did not close properly. Bathroom door caught on the bath. No none slip mats in showers.Stayz has a good name but I think someone needs to go and check this apartment . This is an honest review of what we saw

Excellent location! Wonderful stay!

We had the most wonderful stay at London City Apartment. As a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children aged 15, 14 and 10) the apartment was perfect. The bedrooms were of a good size, the two bathrooms and two toilets was an added bonus and the pullout bed was comfortable. The kitchen was of a good size equipped with everything we needed to enjoy an occasional meal at home, including an oven. The washer/dryer was also very handy. The apartment was a short stroll to the tube, lots of restaurants/pubs and an enjoyable easy walk over the bridge into all the wonderful sights London has to offer. The host was very easy to deal with before, during and after booking. We will definitely be back.

Location

It was a great location to stay so close to the underground and popular attractions near by. Host pretty much let us be . Responded when there was an issue but when I notified we were leaving etc no response I guess that’s fine. Place is definitely in need of some TLC. A bit run down but for us it was fine since we were out most days till late

Very well situated

Our stay went well, the flat was convenient (the kitchen could have been more equipped, but the living area was nice) and the beds very comfortable. The area is pleasant, we had small shops and pubs nearby, and the metro is within easy walking distance. We had the added bonus of a great partial view to the fireworks over the London Eye from our windows! There was a broken faucet but the janitor came immediately to cut off the water and a plumber was sent to fix things on the same day, Sunday January 1st... very swift and efficient handling of the situation.

Does the job

This Vrbo was in a good location right by Waterloo station and allowed us to see all of London relatively easily. Thankfully we were not in the Vrbo as much as it was dirty and the showers were falling apart. Not enough silverware or cooking utensils for 6 people. Lacked basic items such as cooking oil, salt, pepper, extra toilet paper, etc. It did the job for my group as all we needed was a place to sleep and shower, but wouldn't return to this Vrbo if we were visiting London again.

Weekend in London

The location was amazing, very central and walkable but also easy to catch an Uber or the tube. Unfortunately, the photos on the listing were not of the actual unit we stayed in, the unit we stayed had less furniture and the finishes were not updated or installed well and felt very poorly put together. The property manager was easy to communicate with, but the check in process was outdated. We had to coordinate a specific time to meet someone at the property to let us in, which compared to the more typical lock box type check in, is inconvenient but also can feel unsafe if traveling alone. Overall, the trip was fine bc we didn’t spend much time in the space, but if you plan to use the apt as a gathering place to hang out, this is not the place for you.

Centrally located to attractions

The location of this property is good. It is centrally located and within walking distance of many attractions. It was nice having two bathrooms for 5 of us, and the beds were comfortable. The communication was not the best. They never got right back to us. We also asked for extra towels twice and never even got a reply. Although they did allow us to drop off our luggage there early (check in was three and we dropped it off at 12:30), we were charged 35 pounds for leaving it early. The apartment was fairly clean, however the hallway and stairway had a distinct odor. Overall it was fine. We didn’t spend a great deal of time there, but rather used it for sleeping as we were out during the majority of the days.

Won’t stay here again

Let me start with positives 1. Fantastic Location. 2. Spacious unit for 4. Although queen beds would be better. 3. Comfortable beds. Things that should change. 1. Unit in general is falling apart. 2. Lots of dust and construction across from it. 3. Owner has no pride in having this unit. It’s sort of a disgrace to hospitality. 4. Property manager knocked on the door to take away the folding bed. He is annoying. 5. Kitchen doesn’t have much. Not even coffee maker! We stayed 5 nights. There are places in zone1 in Vrbo. Will be trying those other places.

Keep on Looking!

This apartment is not as advertised, and the host is very rude! I wish I had seen the April 2024 post (I booked it in Jan) because I had similar experiences. The pictures posted are either from a different flat or of this one decades ago, as the kitchen backsplash and furniture were different. She wants to nickel and dime her renters by charging to check in an hour early!! Most hosts will provide this service free of charge if they can; I understand that the flat might not be ready to accommodate an early check-in, but this one clearly was available but only at a cost. More importantly, I required a washing machine with the rental so we could minimize our luggage, and it didn't work. The host offered to video chat with me but the machine wouldn't even turn on so this call would not have been effective. They were then going to send someone at a specific time but canceled and then offered to come the next day. I asked when they would be there exactly as we were going to be out most of the day but never received a response. She would not provide a partial refund for this inconvenience because she stated that someone came by 2x. We weren't there because she never provided a time and I’m not wasting my vacation by sitting in an apartment. I have been booking rentals with VRBO for over a decade and every experience has been great. This property does not represent the quality I have experienced with VRBO & would never stay again.

Appartement assez grand pour une famille, pas vieux mais on ne peut pas dire neuf non plus, attention à ne pas oublier d'acheter un adaptateur de chargeur UK. Hôte gentil et bienveillant. Merci pour tout.
