Hi Lori, Thank you for the review. I usually get raving, positive responses about my beds. It is a super soft “king bed”. I’m sorry. I know some like harder beds and some like softer. It’s hard to accommodate everyone’s specific needs. Our “cleaning fee” on here is what the cleaners charge us to clean. It is set at “their” price and we give that money directly to them to clean and sanitize our home. We do have to pay them extra when they wash our linens or we rent their linens, but I usually pay it from our nightly rate so I don’t have to ask the guest for more. (I will try to look into other options). But we don’t charge a linen fee like some other home owners do or make you bring your own linens (which is also fine if guest prefer to do that). We try to supply guest with all they need during their stay and we make beds upon arrival so guest can enjoy their vacation and not spend it making beds at check in. The checkout instructions this morning I sent, I just asked if you would remove any garbage to the can outside. I’m sorry for any challenges you have with your health. I was coming down for vacation myself after your check out and I could have taken care of it. Thanks for booking with us.

Sorry you were not satisfied with my home. But I enjoyed having you as my guest anyway. I’m also sorry you had an emergency and left halfway into your booked month with us…(We did have a credit for your unused days, available for your next booking). We can’t offer a monetary refund for cancelling your booking mid stay as we already discounted the monthly stay at a big discount and didn’t accept other bookings, as we had saved that month for you. The incident you let us know about was the dryer vent was blocked. I had spray foam sprayed under the home 3 days before your stay and they covered up where the dryer vent exited the home. It was fixed quickly by the company with no further problems. We advertise in our “listing description” of our home that we have a bar and bar stools. I’m sorry if you were disappointed we didn’t have a table. It was as stated in my description what we offered. (I made the dining room a third bedroom to allow for more beds for guest to stay. (But if guest prefer a dining room we may just turn that extra bedroom back into a dining room). The beds are soft and I stated in my description on the site as very soft mattresses. ( I bought soft beds due to my medical conditions I had before I started renting my home to guest). My apologizes, it’s hard to get just the right mattress to please everyone. They were the best mattresses and actually the top of the line. Most guest have praised our mattresses and have asked me where I purchased them as they said they loved how comfortable they were. The master shower does have a smaller area to shower as it is a smaller bathroom, but the main hall bathroom has a very large shower/bath combo, with massaging shower heads. We purchased the home this way. As a reminder these are modular homes in the village and not large stick built homes. My floors are vacuumed, mopped and sanitized between every guest but I will let my cleaners know this as they may need to mop it more than once while there. The rubber mats were new as I bought them 2 months before your stay, to put in the bathrooms so guest don’t fall down after leaving the showers. I will remove them now if they are not satisfactory for our guest. I apologize for the “Knick knacks” I wasn’t aware of anything in the way. You state our home is best suited for a week stay and that’s mainly what we prefer too. I debated whether to allow winter birds this year, but decided you seemed very interested and friendly and we allowed it again. But monthly rentals are discounted at a “very large discount” for our winter guest. I’m sorry you had an emergency half way through the month and had to leave. You notified me and left the next day, so it was impossible to get another booking as our calendar is blocked for the rest of that month. I guess the 3 star you gave resulted because I didn’t refund money for your departure half way in the month. I had a credit set up for the remaining days, as a friendly gesture, as you said you wanted to stay next year. Sorry you won’t be returning. I wished you had said you were not happy. We try to rectify things that we we can for our guest.

Not understanding why you were not happy as we sent the cleaner back within 30 minutes of your call to see what she may have missed. She cleans my home and immediately sends me pictures of everything she cleaned. I talk with her before and after every cleaning. She does vacuum and mops before and after every guest. I was sent the pictures and the floors were wet. The bathrooms are cleaned and I have the pictures of the shower you said had sand in it. I seen no sand as she takes the pics up close and It appeared very clean. The oven top (flat top) you said was dirty, she had cleaned that before your stay too. I have the pictures. The oven had a little crumb, she said, and asked you if you would like her to replace the foil we had down, to satisfy that issue. She was there to rectify any issues you were not happy with. The rugs you spoke about are rubber rugs she can’t wash them as they are the rubber painted mats. But I had the pictures of the rugs, I saw no hair that you mentioned. She sent a video of them as I asked her to remove during your stay. I wasn’t aware of the bathroom door not latching, as when the air conditioner runs, I guess it’s not holding well. But if we would had known it could have been fixed if you would have allowed us the chance. We do have curtains up at the master bath and 3rd small bedroom, because that’s how I bought the home. My cleaning lady is very dependable and the best and is very thorough in cleaning. I sent her back to rectify any issues you had but she said you were very rude to her and told her to leave after she checked the spots you complained about. She came at my request. In my vrbo message board I received from you, you did state she came and took care of the issues you stated to me. She even stated to you she would send her crew back in to clean for you the next day if you wished, as a nice gesture. You stayed the entire week and I heard nothing else from you about anything. Until a week after your stay/ checkout, when you sent me a message on my phone wanting to discuss. You stayed and didn’t want to check out, so your stay was complete. I’m sorry but if your stay was not satisfactory I would have refunded your money if you wanted to check out. You just should have asked. But staying where you are not happy and trying to claim issues a week after your stay is not acceptable.
