Just come back from a 10 day stay. Absolutely beautiful cabin, built and previously lived in by the owners. Beautiful quaint and rustic cabin. Absolutely what makes it special. The mountain views are amazing from the large front terrace. The pool at the other side of the cabin is fantastic to cool down in and relax listening to nature. It's a 20 minute drive to the nearest village which suited us fine but if you want to be able to walk to a bar it maybe not for you.The drive to the cabin via the owners instructions is via mountain roads with the last 1 km a dirt road but passable with a regular car. We had a citron c3 and did fine on numerous trips to nearby villages. We also drove to the airport at midnight, pitch black with no problem, just a bit slower . We regularly drive North Yorkshire and Derbyshire country roads so didn't find the roads a problem but if you are a nervous driver you may find them challenging. Lena, the owner is a lovely lady very welcoming, very easy to contact while there and very helpful on giving the best route to the cabin. Don't follow google maps follow Lena's advice on the route. Thank you Lena for a lovely stay. X

Stunning location

Only home from the cabin on the mountain. One of the best holidays we have had, beautiful place to stay relaxing and homely. Lena was fab from directions to meeting up to collect keys and then on to the cabin, which is breathtaking scenery, great wildlife which our grandson loved as well as a beautiful pool. We really loved this holiday we’re hoping it won’t be long till we’re back. Thanks Lena 😊

Hi Lena, Just to let you know, we've settled in well to your lovely cabin and have all we need. Spent a really hard, exhausting day yesterday sunbathing, swimming, snoozing etc 😉☀️😅 Could get used to life here very quickly! 😘😊 This was the message from this guest after 2 nights at the cabin!!! She then decided to leave early without letting me know and demanded a refund for totally fabricated problems. I dont respond to blackmail, hence this bitter ,untrue review. Luckily my honest guests leave truthful reviews.

Excellent

This is our second stay in the cabin. Only home and will be re-booking for this year. We take our grandson who just loves everything to do with nature so he loves the animals, birds insects etc.The cabin is just perfect tranquil, surrounded by mango trees, close to the coast and supermarkets, perfectly clean with everything you need for a great stay, plus a great pool. The scenery is stunning and great for walking. The host Lena is so helpful explains everything you need to know to do with the cabin and surrounding area. From here you can do daytrips to the coast,Gibraltar, Nerja and a short drive to Competa which is a beautiful town just to sit have a coffee or the market on a Saturday. We hire a car from the airport and are at the cabin within the hour. Can’t wait to return. Thanks Lena for another great stay. Take care and see you soon x.

mooie berghut in volle natuur . prima ontvangst

J'y retournerai

Dangerous Road

The property was located on a several mile one lane terrible road with dangerous high cliffs that was impossible to drive at night. We drove it 6 times and decided to just leave the property even though we had paid for 34 days.
VrboOwnerからの返信 (投稿日 : 2020 年 4 月 10 日)
Firstly I want to post the message I sent to these guests when they first enquired about the cabin. Hi Stanley The elevation is only 300 meters, so never any snow. February can be a little unpredictable but never very cold but sometimes rain. On the other hand it can be beautiful and sunny and up to 20 degrees! It was this year. The track up from the coast in only 6 km and half way a dirt track and half concrete but easily done with a normal car unless there is torrential rain. There is another way in from Competa which is all paved road until the last km. Some people have never driven on any mountain roads so find it very different than driving in the cities! I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of the location and not get a surprise. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. Kind regards Lena I am always totally honest about the location and access to the cabin as I do not want unhappy or the wrong type of guests. These elderly couple were completely unsuitable guests for the cabin . As you can see from other reviews we have had many happy guests who do not find the location a problem. Also these guests did not even bother to try the other access. What if found totally unbelievable and despicable is that they left the property without telling me and left in unlocked and unsecured for 2 weeks before bothering to let me know. I rest my case.

Stunningly beautiful cottage surrounded by nature!

We were enchanted by Lena’s cottage! The remote aspect totally appealed as we search for holidays that provide peace and quiet with the quality of nature. Our two little ones of 5 and 3 had such fun walking in the hills and attempting to swim in the pool! It was a fabulous base for discovering Andalucía. In particular, we enjoyed the treetop adventure park in Villanueva de Trabuco, the beach at Burriana and returning to Lena’s gorgeous hillside hideaway in the evening. Lena herself is very endearing - she felt like a friend after only a 30 minute chat! She was very hospitable with everything and we cherish our holiday memories.

A perfect place to relax.

We spent two wonderful weeks in this little piece of paradise. The house is well equipped, comfortable and has a unique charm. The views all around are stunning. The pool temperature was perfect. We loved everything about the property. Lena, the owner, is friendly and helpful and was on hand if we needed anything. She met us at the coast and led the way up to the house which was very welcome as we arrived in the evening. It is easy enough to find once you've been shown. We would love to return sometime in the future.

All in all a wonderful Place, even though I wouldn't recommend the Place to anyone unused to driving in small and steep roads. Really nice pool, much better than the images imply, fabulous view and many beds in an otherwise quite small house.
