What sets Autumn Ridge apart is its rare combination of privacy and charm. Nestled on 7.8 peaceful acres, our five handcrafted cabins offer a serene retreat—allowing you to experience the Smokies as the first visitors once did: quiet, natural, and unspoiled.
Each of our 1950s-inspired cabins is exactly what we say it is—genuinely hand-built by our own family members. These cabins were lovingly created to honor and preserve the rich Appalachian heritage of the Smoky Mountains, and to leave a legacy for generations to come. In fact, three of our cabins are named after our grandchildren! Grandpa Bill personally crafted each front door and every kitchen cabinet by hand. Every board was carefully chosen, every joint thoughtfully assembled, and every nail or screw placed with care—so that you, our guest, would feel truly special during every stay.
Inside each cabin, you’ll find a vintage photograph of our ancestors, Sallie and Obie Greene, who settled in the Great Smoky Mountains in the 1880s. Take a moment to notice their joyful expressions and the love between them as they gaze at each other, completely unaware of the camera or the world around them. That legacy of love and authenticity continues today—passed down through four generations (and counting).
