Was für ein fantastischer Aufenthalt bei Doris und Doug! Wir sind im November dort gewesen und genossen einige ruhige Tage in der Mühle. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, alles sehr schön hergerichtet und die Küche perfekt ausgestattet (wir haben sehr viel gekocht!). Mit Kamin und Heizung war es auch sehr angenehm, ganz anders als man es von anderen alten Gemäuer kennt. Der Garten hinter der Mühle führt zu einem kleinen Wasserfall, an dem man entspannen und lesen kann. Die Wege nach Lucca und Cinqueterre sind recht kurz, sodass man sehr schöne Tagesausflüge machen kann. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt! Dankeschön!! What a fantastic stay with Doris and Doug! We were there in November and enjoyed a few peaceful days at the mill. The apartment is very clean, everything is beautifully arranged, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped (we did a lot of cooking!). With the fireplace and heating, it was also very comfortable, quite unlike other old buildings you might be used to. The garden behind the mill leads to a small waterfall where you can relax and read.Lucca and the Cinque Terre are quite close by, making for lovely day trips.All in all, a wonderful stay!

Un appartement superbe, très confortable, dans un cadre enchanteur. Décoration raffinée, souci du détail, hôtes charmants et très attentionnés. De nombreux endroits pour se détendre à l’extérieur, une literie très confortable et une cuisine équipée jusque dans les moindres détails. De délicates attentions nous attendaient à notre arrivée. quel bel endroit , au calme loin du tumulte urbain de lucca., mais à 12 kms .Pour les amoureux de la marches , de belles ballades sont à faire.L'appartement est super propre , il ne manque de rien pour cuisiner.Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!Doris et Doug sont trés disponibles.

Absolutely fantastic

Such a beautiful place to stay whilst exploring Tuscany. Doris is amazing and more than happy to share local knowledge. A car is a must, exploring in all directions from this central point is just perfect.

Your on-site hosts Doris & Douglas saw il Mulino Torrigiani for the first time on a two-week vacation to the Lucca area in 1998 to visits Doris's local family. They fell in love with the property and decided to leave their careers as Advertising Art Directors and start new careers owing and operating a vacation rental property. Both English and Italian speaking they have gained a wide array of local knowledge over their 25 years of living in the hills of Lucca and are here to help you make the most of your travel experience.

Many homes in Tuscany offer panoramic views. You pour yourself a glass of wine, pull up a chair, place your back to your house and look out at the Tuscan landscape that is famous world-wide.

il Mulino Torrigiani is the exact opposite of that. Our home is the view. Nestled in a valley and south facing, il Mulino Torrigiani sits on its own bridge with the river Dezza gently flowing under it. Relax in the seating area on your own bridge. Pour a glass of wine and light a fire in our above-ground fire pit and listen to “la musica” (the music) of the Dezza as it flows under you.

Meander in the back yard in your own garden. Have breakfast at your private table and converse with the flowers and the birds. Here it could be 300 years ago as the sounds of civilisation are kept at bay by the sounds of nature. Walk the path, cross the footbridge and read a book by your own private waterfall.

il Mulino Torrigiani is truly a unique property and one that must be personally experienced, to be fully enjoy.
