Nestled in a valley and south facing, il Mulino Torrigiani sits on its own bridge with the river Dezza gently flowing under it. Relax in the seating area on your own bridge. Pour a glass of wine, light a fire in our above-ground fire pit and listen to “la musica” (the music) of the Dezza as it flows under you. Or, meander in the back yard in your own garden. We have a table and chairs for breakfast or lunch and you can converse with the flowers and the birds. Here it could be 300 years ago as the sounds of civilisation are kept at bay by the sounds of nature. Walk the path, cross the footbridge and read a book by your own private waterfall. Open the windows in the evening to enjoy the fresh mountain air and sleep to the sound of our bubbling brook which flows directly under il Mulino Torrigiani.

il Mulino Torrigiani is truly a unique property and one theat must be personally experienced, to be fully enjoy.

Perfect holiday!

This was our second visit to Tuscany but first in this property. Doug and Doris are fantastic hosts. On hand if you need them, but also just leave you to enjoy your stay. The property is in a stunning location, perfect for walks, runs and cycling, all right on the doorstep. The local restaurants (just 2km in either direction) are absolutely lovely and a true “local” experience as opposed to a “touristy” experience you might get in Lucca or Pisa. The accommodation itself is everything you need. Spotlessly clean, great views, and lovely open plan living/cooking area. We’ll definitely be back, probably with our bikes next time.

Fantastisch

Ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus in einer alten ,liebevoll restaurierten Mühle. Herzlicher Empfang durch die Vermieter. Sowohl die Wohnung, als auch der prachtvolle Garten und die Umgebung lassen keine Wünsche übrig. Ein echter Geheimtip, wir kommen gern wieder hierher.

Your on-site hosts Doris & Douglas saw il Mulino Torrigiani for the first time on a two-week vacation to the Lucca area in 1998 to visits Doris's local family. They fell in love with the property and decided to leave their careers as Advertising Art Directors and start new careers owing and operating a vacation rental property. Both English and Italian speaking they have gained a wide array of local knowledge over their 25 years of living in the hills of Lucca and are here to help you make the most of your travel experience.

il Mulino Torrigiani is the exact opposite of that. Our home is the view. Nestled in a valley and south facing, il Mulino Torrigiani sits on its own bridge with the river Dezza gently flowing under it. Relax in the seating area on your own bridge. Pour a glass of wine and light a fire in our above-ground fire pit and listen to “la musica” (the music) of the Dezza as it flows under you.
