We had a great stay at Ferndene Cottage.

We had a great stay at Ferndene Cottage. Felt very homely and had everything you could need. Plenty to do in the area, bus stop near by to go to Whitby. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely few days staying here, everything was thought of and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. Excellent base for exploring the North Yorkshire moors and the coastline was stunning!

We had a lovely stay at Ferndene - the house was spotless, well appointed and cosy.

We had a lovely stay at Ferndene - the house was spotless, well appointed and cosy. We also loved the little garden and summer house, and made ourselves sit outside, even in our winter coats! Hinderwell is a fascinating village, and is an easy walk to Runswick Bay or in the other direction to Staithes. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Generally good, welcome pack excellent. Dog friendly.Problems with combi boiler resulted in hot water cutting out frequently.We were not happy that we were given less than 24hrs notice of the cancellation of our original booking by cottages.com our contact with the property owner was somewhat chaotic . This led to a stressful start to our holiday
