This was a return trip for me, along with 4 of my siblings. Another great weekend for us in the Berkshires. The house is really comfortable for a group - lots of bedrooms, plenty of different places to hang out in large or small groups. And Jon was great to work with - extremely responsive. Would highly recommend this house for a visit to the Berkshires.

Beautiful home, great location

My family and I loved our stay in the Berkshires. Jon's home was perfect for our group, and the location is beautiful to relax and enjoy the lake. Plenty to do in the local area, but also great to just be around the house. We'd love to go back!

We gathered a group of 8 from around the country for a celebration of life being held at Jacobs Pillow. The house was perfect for us - the gorgeous views of Richmond Pond, and the ability to kayak and canoe on the pond - added a level of peace we all needed as we grieved and celebrated a dear friend. The kitchen was perfectly stocked in support of many delicious group meals. There were just the right number and configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms, beds were super comfortable, separate spaces to hang out when anyone needed a little space, everything was spotless, and Jon was a phenomenal host. We highly highly recommend this house. Oh the apple cider and cider donuts from the nearby orchard were lovely too. One of the best house rentals I've ever booked (and I've booked a lot).

Comfortable stay in an idyllic setting

Very clean and well equipped. Enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Great location with lots to do in the area. Seeing eagles and a loon was a bonus.

Berkshires Lakeside Family Getaway

Quiet lakeside home, centrally located in the Berkshires. Newly updated and very comfortable home was perfect for relaxing and day trips hiking, visiting orchards, wineries and the local towns. Jon was a great host, quick to answer questions and make sure our stay was perfect!

Perfect spot

Jon was a great host and the house worked out great for my extended family. My son had a blast fishing from the dock and we all enjoyed swimming, boating, and birdwatching on Richmond Pond.

Beautiful stay on the Great Pond

Jon's house is fully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay on Richmond Pond. We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful views all weekend, and took advantage of all of the amenities! Jon was a great host and readily available if we had any questions. We hope to come back someday!

Plenty to do

The weather was cold and rainy but there are fun things to do at the house and in the nearby towns. The setting is perfect for some nice wildlife viewing.

Perfect Vacation Home

We have stayed in the Berkshires many happy years. This was by far the best home we ever rented. It is a beautiful and well-planned house, unusually well equipped, and located within easy access of all the Berkshires has to offer. Jon is everything you want in a property owner -- charming and immediately responsive. We cannot wait to return.

Relaxing Reunion in a Wonderful Setting!

Thank you, Jon, for a truly lovely setting for our mini-vacation and reunion with dear friends! We loved the lake views from every room, the great porch and areas for good walks! The beds were super comfortable and living room designed for cozy conversations and a well equipped kitchen for preparing meals of any kind. Thanks again for a lovely "home away from home".

Richmond Pond

The property was beautiful with an amazing lake view. We stayed over Christmas with family so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoor amenities but the house was cozy and just right for our needs. Location was good for access to Lenox and Pittsfield. John was an attentive host and easy to connect to for questions.

Wonderful, spacious, well-equipped house right on the pond. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, Tanglewood, and hiking. Lots of privacy; very quiet. Zero traffic. Heard a loon on the lake, which had very little motorboat traffic.Nice seating on the two decks with views of the lake. Great to have use of the two kayaks and the (heavy!) canoe. As Jon warned us, the pond has lots of water weeds, so it’s not great for swimming, but the lovely Lenox Town Beach is within 20 minutes. Jon was a great host, responding quickly to questions. “Think of me as your concierge,” he said.

We have been coming to the area for years and this is the best house we ever rented. Will return.

The house has a fantastic view on the lake. It was laid out well so it worked when we were alone or when we had friends and family. Very well equipped so we could entertain easily. The location is good for all the attractions in the area. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering a stay in the BERKSHIRES.

Perfect Berkshire lake house

Jon checked in with us a week prior, and met us at check-in for a personal walk-through ... much appreciated! The lake front location offers a combination of active and passive activities that suited everyone between 2 and 71. It is perfectly located between Great Barrington and Pittsfield to explore the Berkshires, and very accessible to Guido's!

Restful and lovely vacation

We loved waking up to the serenity of this gorgeous lake. Jon was the consummate host, taking the time to come meet us at check-in, walk us through the house, do last-minute deck cleaning (there are lots of geese on the water), and offer area suggestions. The house is supremely comfortable and well stocked. Five stars!

Best Getaway Ever!

The lake house was perfect! It was so clean and comfortable! The decor and furniture reflects a rare thoughtfulness and care by the owner. He was available and responded promptly. We loved everything! We floated, fished, kayaked, and relaxed.

Peaceful and Chic

This house is great if you want a serene lakefront getaway. The location is very convenient to Stockbridge, Pittsfield, and Lenox, but far removed from any crowds. The furnishings and art are exquisite, and the kitchen is stocked with plenty of spices, pots, pans, etc. Jon could not possibly a more gracious host and made sure all questions were answered promptly.

We fell in love with Richmond Pond when my parents bought a home nearby in 1987. Years later we saw a For Sale sign while kayaking around the lake and fell in love all over again. We purchased the house as a weekend home and occasionally rent it when we 're not using it.
