A well equipped, comfortable house with a superb view over the estuary. Within easy reach of the shops and ferry to the beaches. Parking comes with the house. Would recommend it as a good base to stay in Salcombe.

What a place. The view from the light and spacious living area is incredible. The whole place has a great feel, making you feel right at home. Belle is a great host. Communication excellent. Location is perfect with just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. I could never tire of the walk to North Sands for a daily swim. The coastal path starting at Over Beck is breathtaking. Fortescue was the pick of the pubs for us. Evening BBQ at the Winking Prawn also really good. Can’t wait to return !

Beautiful views

We had a fantastic stay here, amazing views, great weather and so relaxing, if we needed anything Belle was on hand, we used the BBQ a couple of times with meat from the local butcher, which was delicious! You have to pace yourself with the walks up hill, but there are plenty of places to stop and admire the beautiful view.

Our week in Salcombe

We spent a wonderful week at the house. The directions were easy to follow and pre-information thorough. The house was spotless and comfortable with fantastic views, all living up to expectation. The town was just a short walk down the hill. Our thanks to Belle. Would we stay again? - yes.

Beautiful place!

The house was really spacious, well fitted and in a wonderful location close to Salcombe town centre. We had a lovely week with kids and grandparents during the Town Regatta week. Belle did send a message a couple of weeks before our stay to inform us of the neighbors building work. It was too late for us to find elsewhere as it was Regatta week but we appreciated the heads up and completely understand that this was completely outside Belle’s control and don’t fault the property at all for this. However, I would suggest checking on building progress before booking. The builders were standing on the roof in front of the balcony (that they’d built on scaffolding so much higher than the actual roof) and it was so close that we could hear every word they said. Along with the drilling and their loud radio we had to keep the doors and windows shut whilst they worked, which was between 8am and 4pm every weekday. It was a real shame, but as I said not the property or owners fault.

Thank you for your honest review. I still cannot believe that the new owners of the property below us decided it was a good idea to start works in the summer. Plus they did not have the courtesy of informing us of their timings. I have now blocked out all the following weeks and informed potential customers that they should find alternative arrangements. Hopefully we can welcome you back when all the works are completed and normality restored. I am so sorry that this has impacted your holiday. Belle

Incredible Salcombe Harbour Views

My wife and I with our two sons (under 3) were very comfortable at this property. The upside down arrangement is great for admiring the view, which never disappointed. The house is really well fitted out. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Lovely view and good location to Salcombe

Belle kindly accommodated us at just 24 hours notice so we were very pleased when we arrived. Larger home than expected from the photos. Just a short work down to the town, but slightly longer back up the hill!. Parking very convenient. View from the master bedroom and living room area exactly as shown in the pictures and the outdoor area feels very private. All in all a good place to stay in Salcombe is you want nice views, parking and easy access to the town

A fabulous house.

This is a truly fabulous house. The view of the harbour from the sitting room, terrace and main bedroom is stunning. The photographs of the house, as a previous guest said, don’t do it justice - it is even better than the photos make it look. It has everything you could need and lots more. The bed was so comfortable and the curtains keep the room dark in case you are a light sleeper. The terrace is big enough to have dinner at the table or just to sit and enjoy a glass of wine watching everything happen in the harbour. The parking space is great advantage, which you really appreciate when you realise how difficult parking in Salcombe is. This is a gem of a find.

Amazing property in the centre of Salcombe

We spent a week at the property on Lakeside and loved every minute. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook up some big family feasts. I was impressed with the range of equipment available to use. The location of the property is excellent as it's 5-10 minutes walk from all the main spots in Salcombe. I enjoyed the fairly steep walks home as it helped burn a few calories. The view from the property is excellent and we enjoyed every sunny morning looking out at the harbour. It's also lovely in the evening to sit on the balcony and watch the evening sun on the valley.

Amazing!

From booking to leaving the communications we’re great nothing was too much which is exactly what you want, the house is exactly as pictured with a great terrace and all the amenities you would want, close to town without being around any noise just two steep hills to contend with on the walk into town but nothing we couldn’t manage even with a pushchair and a two year old, Salcombe is beautiful with everything you would want in a town if you don’t want to drive anywhere when you are on holiday, thank you Belle we will be back again.
