Great house, would stay again. Stocked well. Overall clean, Hank answered the phone at 1am when the upstairs smoke alarm wouldn’t stop going off, enough space for a group.

Great location with plenty of beds

Sandra was great! Very communicative and made the whole process quite easy. Thankfully she mentioned the need to order sheets and towels prior to our arrival and that worked out well. Great house; great location and plenty of beds for our annual golf trip.

Perfect location for family getaway

We had been planning on going to MV for sometime and after lots of searching, Sandra’s place seemed perfect for our situation. We had 5 adults and an infant. The house was spacious, the yard was great to have downtime. Sandra was extremely responsive and even made sure there were emergency supplies due to hurricane weather passing through. The house is a short walk from downtown Oak Bluffs and made it easy to go back and forth. Overall a wonderful experience!

Perfect OB location and wonderful home for groups.

We had a group of 8 adults stay here for a Vineyard girls' trip and the house was above and beyond expectations. Like other reviewers, the photos don't do it justice! Tons of space and bathrooms for everyone to feel like they could relax while at the house. The backyard space was an added bonus that we used a few times to eat dinners and chill. Sandra was communicative and super helpful, providing numerous recommendations to make the stay special. We experienced quite the heatwave during our stay, so the window units in each bedroom were a lifesaver! Rest assured they work great and kept us nice and cool while we slept. If I have the chance to return I definitely will!

Girls Weekend

An amazing location! Easy check in! So much room in the house. Only wish Sandra could have arranged there to be sunshine while we were there. Ha ha. We made the best of the wind and rain and thankful there was so much room for us to spread out in the house!

Good Location

Overall, good location enough space for big group. She let us check in earlier and but our luggage on the deck so we could go an explore Oak Bluffs and the rest of the island!

Great experience

We loved the property and the owners ability to make our stay worthwhile. We hope to come back next year and stay at Sandra’s house! Highly recommended for later families and groups!

Host is Amazing

The house is perfect walking distance to down town oak bluffs and is perfect for anyone looking to come to the island. This is our families 2nd year staying here and we’ve been coming to Martha’s Vineyard for over 30+ years so it means a lot for us to stay in the same home twice. The host was extremely helpful with anything that came up during our week stay and would make sure we were having a good visit.

Lovely home, close to everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Vineyard home. My favorite spot was on the back patio. The home is equipped with all necessities. The home is very well cared for. We look forward to returning soon!

Perfect OB location

Everything about the property was ideal. The location was close by to shops, dining and nightlife as was a short walk to town. Easy to get to from the ferry and removed enough where you weren’t engulfed in the hustle and bustle. The outdoor patio was a perfect gathering spot with friends and inside was ideal for dinners, meals and plenty of cribbage. Recommend 10x over.

Our short stay

House was listed as pictured. The owner didn’t provide towels & sheets, but pillows and comforters. If you don’t bring the linen and towels, you can rent them on the Island. The only bad thing were the pillows need washing or replaced. They were GROSS. Other than the pillows, it was a nice stay & loved the fact there are three full bathrooms & a half.

Very Accommodating!

Sandra was extremely helpful during our stay and helped to accommodate us above what was required of her. The whole group was extremely happy with the location of the house and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go within Oak Bluffs. Would recommend staying here to others!

Great Location

We were two families with young kids that stayed at this lovely house. It has a fantastic location and was walkable to everything in Oak Bluffs that we could possibly want. The house itself is well-cared for and we appreciated the new and large kitchen (well-stocked with pots/pans). Thanks to our host Sandra and caretaker Hank for help before and during our stay.

Fabulous home, convenient to the center of town and East Chop!

Sandy's Sanctuary is located in the heart of Oak Bluffs, within walking distance to the center of town and the OB ferry! The house is spacious, clean, comfortable and it was HOT for early June so the air conditioning was key! It's great for a family vacation or friends get-away. The Barn (restaurant and bowling alley) are across the street and we had a ball bowling one evening. The house has load of books, puzzles and games. Sandy was wonderful to work with and her son, Hank (caretaker) was also terrific. I highly recommend Sandy's Sanctuary! Book it!

Gallivanting on the Vineyard

Sandy and I communicated well throughout the rental process. She was accommodating and provided all the information we needed to make our visit enjoyable. My family and I enjoyed the layout of the house. We found the board games and played Pokeno as a family. It was my 76 year old mother's first trip to the Vineyard. She walked to the shops and restaurants on Circuit Ave. She cannot wait to return. Thank you Sandy we had a wonderful time.

Absolutely AMAZING location

Sandra’s home is truly wonderful in beauty and location! I came here with some of my childhood friends and there was plenty of room for all 12 of us! The house was wonderfully cleaned and had everything we needed! Also, it’s just a short walk to the beach and to town. It’s also a very short cab ride into Edgartown! I truly appreciate Sandra sharing her home with us! The only things I didn’t initially notice on the listing is that sheets/towels are not provided. We ended up bringing those on our own! Also, there’s a property manager who also lives on the property in an apartment above the garage! He’s very friendly and we only saw him a few times. It didn’t matter to us at all, but it may be good to know if you’re looking for complete privacy! Everything in the house was perfect though and the rooms were beautifully decorated! I would absolutely recommend Sandra’s house to anyone. It would be great for a large family or a couple of families to take a trip together!
