This place really was in a prime location, and the little bitty beach it had was wonderful for kayaks and getting in and out of the water in general.
I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. The location was 4 stars for sure, but the inside probably a 3.
Waterfront porch was excellent, and so close to the water it was just wonderful! The dock was very nice, and steady...very good condition.
The lot is level and that is just wonderful as many areas on that lake can be very steep getting in or out.
The home is very cute, and perfect for a getaway, but it’s too cluttered for its small size...for me anyway. And the stairs to the loft...yikes, they are attic stairs, you know the rickety ones in your house you pull down from the ceiling that you hate going up a few times a year. It says no kids up there, but that is really the only people who can climb up and down those repeatedly. But once you get up there it’s a great little space.
I think my main advice for this place is Less is More. There was weird placement of the bed downstairs because of a random china cabinet and other pieces. You literally walked into the bed when you came in the main door.
Bathroom was good, but they should spring for a $20 shower head...the one in there spits water and it takes a while to get shampoo out of your hair.
We never ran out of hot water which was great.
I'd suggest bringing you own blankets, it can get chilly and it's nice to cuddle up to a nice clean blanket.
