Lovely Cottage in Prime Location

Holt cottage with parking. In town and walking distance of pubs and restaurants and shops. Excellent cottage with parking. Would book again.

Ideal location for exploring North Norfolk

This cosy cottage for two is located in the lovely town of Holt. It is just a very short walk to the High Street and is adjacent to the road to the coast - perfect for a break in this delightful part of East Anglia.

Lovely stay in Holt

Had a lovely stay in Carpenters Cottage in Holt. Cottage had everything needed for a short stay. Close to shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Cycling around the area is a great way to see the local villages and wildlife with the bonus of it being nice and flat.

Peace and tranquility

An amazing find, just so relaxing and able to unwind. Great layout and well presented. Central location in Holt which is full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Just a short drive to the coast with lots to do in the local area.

On arrival the house was clean and the owner had left a cake, which was a nice touch. Although there was parking, access and egress was rather difficult if other cars were parked in the yard. This is outside the control of the owner though. We felt the property needed a general update as the shower did not work properly and the shaver socket did not work at all. There is no private outside space, as described, and unfortunately there is no sun to the outside space by late afternoon. Having said all that we did enjoy our week and the cottage is very well located in Holt.

Andrew, I am sorry you thought you had problems at the cottage. You should have contacted me so that I could have helped you. For example, you never contacted me or left a message that the shower did not work properly and I would have happily looked at this for you. Also the shaver socket does work. I had been in touch with you about how to find the cottage when you could not understand the directions - a first for any guest so you knew how to contact me. I had already said in my information pack and on the phone to you to keep in touch if necessary. It would also have been nice if you had left me know so I could have checked things on the changeover on Saturday when I went up to the cottage. Parkings is at a premium in Holt and the cottage is extremely fortunate to have it's own. Everyone understands that there is allocated parking in the yards in Norfolk. The private courtyard is private for the 3 properties and not fenced off otherwise access would be restricted. No one has ever made a comment about this before. It is just secluded, pretty with birds and greenery in the centre of Holt. The sun not shining in late afternoon, I am sorry to say is out of my control! It would have been nice if you had left the cottage as clean as it was when you arrived. I am glad you found the cottage it well located.

Lovely cottage for two conveniently situated a few hundred yards from Budgeons supermarket. It is on a par with Waitrose with prices but the convenience far outweighs the cost.

Town Cottage

Ideal location for visiting Holt. You are right in town with all the shops, pubs and restaurants, bus stops in walking distance. Cute cottage, open plan but definitely big enough for two. Easy check in and out and excellent communication with owner & Vrbo. Parking is round the other side of cottage which is a short walk round with bags. Even though it’s in town very peaceful & relaxing.

Lovely cottage

Lovely comfortable cottage. Easy to drive to Blakeney, Cley, Cromer, Sheringham plus national trust properties nearby. The 'poppy' line to take the steam train to Sheringham is half an hour walk from the cottage or drive to the station and pay £2 to park all day. Holt itself is a lovely small town to explore with its own country park. We also enjoyed a couple of days bird watching at Cley and also Trimingham whilst the Bee eaters are in the UK.

Cosy cottage

The cottage was lovely. Very homely and cosy and wellequiped.Only problem for my partner and I was transporting all our luggage from parking the car round to the cottage.I hadn't appreciated how diffficult that would be for us as in our 80's.Otherwise all great and loved the area.

I am sorry that the walk round to the front door after parking at the back of the cottage was difficult for you in your 80's with your luggage. I can appreciate that. I do hope to see you at the cottage again.

Homely Holt

The cottage was spotlessly clean. We stayed during one of the hottest August weeks, the cottage had the morning sun pouring through the front windows, but remained cool inside. A very comfortable lounge area, perfect for relaxing after a long day hiking the North Norfolk coastal path, the shower room is a good size, with a good flowing constant temperature shower. The bedroom is very generous in size with ample storage and a comfortable bed. The Parking at this property is a super bonus, and no 8 probably has the best spot of all with easy access. Holt itself is a maze of fascinating retailers,and eateries We have stayed in many holiday rentals no 8 Carpenters Cottages is one we would absolutely return to. Thank you Anne we had a lovely time, your arrival instructions and cottage itinerary is very accurate and comprehensive

North Norfolk

We would thoroughly recommend the cottage as a base for discovering Holt and North Norfolk. The cottage was provided with everything you could wish for. Holt and the surrounding countryside are beautiful.

Normal for Norfolk

We were attending the wedding of a close family member near Holt and the cottage was absolutely ideal for our purposes. Not only was it cozy, comfortable and well-equipped but also very close to Holt’s lovely town centre and the reception venue.

I fell in love with the area. This is a traditional brick and flint cottage and was a perfect project for me. Located in the centre of the beautiful market town of Holt where you feel you go back in time as soon as you open the hidden courtyard garden gate with parking, made No.8 unique. It is so peaceful. Lovingly restored the location makes a wonderful base to visit the North Norfolk Coast which is about 4 miles. National Trust properties nearby and Sheringham Park is stunning.
