Great Stay in a Beautiful Location!

Absolutely gorgeous area! Right next to horseshoe Bay and in between Vancouver and Squamish. Grocery store is about a 5 minute drive away. Plenty of parks and beaches nearby for folks who are more outdoorsy/active.

Lovely location

Great stay at a very lovely location. Great walks with lots to see. House is well equipped, spacious and owners living down stairs are kind and informative. Beds are comfortable and house is very clean.Do note that one bedroom is very noisy from an upstairs lease, which must be considered if you don’t want any kind of noise and need both bedrooms.

Horseshoe Bay!

Dmitry and Olga were very helpful telling us about the area and different things to do. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has everthing you would need and it is beautiful!. We would definitely stay here again Thank you Tammy and Rob

Friendly host. Spacious, beautiful, clean house close to the beach. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Well stocked bathrooms. Great stay. Would stay here again.

Excellent stay

If you are looking for a quiet and restful stay near parks and the ocean…this is your place. Covered decks off the main kitchen area is unbelievable…you’ll find yourself amongst the trees. The privacy of this suite is second to none. You will not find better hosts who want to help make your stay relaxing.

your own little treehouse balcony…

This is a great apartment with a really sweet balcony that allows you to feel like you are in your own little treehouse. Dimitry, the host was very informative and helpful. We really enjoyed this as a landing spot after lengthy airlines travel.

Perfect location for Vancouver and North!

The space was perfect for our group of four as a jumping off point for exploring Vancouver, Whistler, and beyond. The driveway was a bit of a learning curve, but the area and surroundings could not have been more beautiful. There was a bit of noise at night from construction or something similar, but it didn't really bother us or impact sleep. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

Great spot to stay for sightseeing

Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights while we did nature sightseeing around Vancouver. The property was located close to attractions and was easy to get to. Horseshoe Bay is small, with only a few restaurants and no proper grocery store, prepare by getting food a little further away. The property manager was fantastic and very helpful, allowing us to drop our bags off early and gave advise on sightseeing in the area. The property itself was in reasonably good shape.

A hidden gem in Western Vancouver

We enjoyed our stay very much. The suite is spacious and well equipped. It has two dinning areas, each facing a little balcony where you can have BBQ or watch humming birds, blue jay etc come find food at the bird feeders. It’s quite and relaxing. The best thing about it is there is a small beach right across the street within 5 min walk, almost nobody there. And it’s ten mins walk to the Whytecliff park, where we found two beaches and saw sea lions in the rocks. A nice place to have a week away from the busy cities with your family!

Mini vacay while working

Such lovely spot to relax and so close to some of the most beautiful walks, trails beaches and parks in Canada! The owners were gracious and helpful. The only minor thing is they only had 1 key yo enter the premises, and I was sharing with a work colleague, which made having different plans a bit of a challenge. It all worked out with some ingenuity!

The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay at this location. The main floor was very spacious and included additional amenities including a stacking washer/dryer and laundry soap/dryer sheets which was greatly appreciated during our longer visit at the Coast. The cats were very friendly and made my daughter very happy :) A few suggestions to future visitors and some feedback to our hosts: 1. The driveway is very steep which guests need to walk up with luggage to the main floor entry. This was almost not possible for my aging mother who is quiteand to park in spot off driveway needed was a little delay in response when requesting information.

Active case still in review with VRBO

We were unable to stay at this location due to an allergic reaction my son had - he is allergic to mold. The owners claimed they used brown silicone around their tub. In addition, the place smelled very musty when we first entered. And we were unable to open any windows and keep them open because there were no screens. Our case is still in review.

Communication prior to arrival wasn’t great. However on arrival (very late) Mark was helpful taking cases to property and giving advice on surrounding area. Not suitable for anyone with walking issues, very steep hill! It was very noisy from the owners (I think) who occupy the upstairs. A bit of noise is ok but not after 9pm. It was especially bad in the back room with the en-suiteLinen and bedding could do with an update. Outside areas could do with a clean. Security was questionable as the decking doors didn’t lock.

house was great, we loved that it was 2 bed and had 2 bathrooms. nice walk to the beach with great views. the reviews from others that noted the steep driveway helped and the host let us know there are people above so a little noise once in a while from above in one of the bedrooms was nice to know in advance.

Great location. Mark who checked us in was informative and helpful in suggesting activities. Nice in-unit laundry and kitchen. It is a very steep driveway. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the upstairs level occupants during our stay which could be heard in the dining area and master bedroom (impacting sleep). No closet in the second bedroom. There was initially a strong cat odor, which when reported owner did try to correct. Some leaking around kitchen faucet.

For our future guests: yes, the driveway is steep, because we live in the mountain area. It is visible in the pictures. So, if you have any physical problem with walking, please avoid that rent. Also, this house has three separate levels. We put our main floor on short-term rent. Our family is living on the first floor. There is one more separate top-floor unit with long-term tenancy. If you are sensitive, just pick up the first bedroom, where nobody is up. From a master bedroom, you may hear when somebody is walking or splashing the water, etc. If it is unusual, excessive noise, just let us know immediately. We do have a cat, which never comes onto the main floor. But if you do not like cats generally, please avoid renting our house. Also, we would appreciate it if our guests would follow the house rules: take their shoes off inside the house, turn off the light when leaving the unit, and communicate in a polite manner. One of the unique qualities of this area is its close connection to nature, surrounding forested landscapes, and peaceful residential atmosphere. As is common in this type of environment, guests may occasionally notice birds, squirrels, domestic pets, or other local wildlife nearby. We live on site and are genuinely committed to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any questions, requests, or concerns during your stay, please let us know. We are always available and respond promptly.

Horseshoe Paradise

Artfully furnished apartment with vast kitchen adjacent to hummingbirds, wilderness trails and beaches 5 minutes away. All this and helpful but discrete hosts made so that our vacations exceeded our expectations.

Disappointing Stay

The location is good, quiet, and the area is full of beautiful homes. Furnishings in the home are dated, beds uncomfortable, there are no privacy blinds in one bedroom, and not all appliances were in working order. We were upset that the owner entered the home without notice before, or communication after. We cut our stay short at two nights despite a one week reservation as we did not feel comfortable staying. The owner did apologize and refunded our money for the unused nights.

The same time, the same house, the same owners. Plenty of nice reviews, after and before these guests... It was suspicious that when we checked the status of these guests upon their arrival, no one review has been left about this group. NO ONE! It is the rule of our house: the owner may enter the house if it is an emergency. We filled the smell of propane, knocked. No answer and after that entered to turn off the fireplace just in case. People are different. We refunded money despite the fact it is a NON-refundable rate. Just to let them go. Have a wonderful life. God bless you!

Very spacious and fully equipped 2-bedroom appartment.

Stayed for 3 nights with our small family - ended up using only a single bedroom. Wish our apartment down town was this big. Clean overall, good-as-new kitchen and bathrooms, a fireplace and a giant TV for rainy evenings. Would recommend.
