## Space

What a location! On the slipway just 50m from the beautiful sandy beach of Burgau with its world-famous beach bar you will find this converted fisherman's cottage. Though small in size, it makes up in character with sea views to die for! Positioned in the heart of this charming fishing village with its cobbled alleyways and a myriad of lovely restaurants all within easy walking distance. Fall asleep listening to the waves and wake up to the buzz of traditional village life.

Burgau is a true gem which has retained its traditional charm. Some of the best (surf) beaches and golf courses in the Western Algarve are within 15 minutes drive away. Casa Pedro is like a doll's house with relatively small rooms and narrow staircases. The accommodation consists of a one-bedroom duplex apartment on two floors with a top floor terrace with stunning views overlooking the ocean.

## Neighborhood

Burgau is a quiet fishing village, situated between Lagos and Sagres. Sheltered from the wind by the cliffs on a small cove is the lovely Praia do Burgau. It is an excellent base for a relaxing beach holiday or to explore the beautiful Western Algarve. It has some amazing restaurants and bars facing the sea, and there are several other beautiful beaches in the area to explore. If your idea of the perfect holiday is to relax in the sun and swim in the sea, this village will provide everything your heart desires. Other things to do in the area include surfing, fishing, diving, golf, tennis and hiking.

## Transit

The best way to travel the Algarvarian coast is by boat or car. If you really want to explore the area, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier as public transport is limited but will also get you around.

You can park for free in Burgau. Parking in front of the apartment is not possible, but there is parking space in the surrounding area, just a short walk from the apartment.

Perfect for two!

Loveable cottage right in the middle of Burgau. One can head in any direction and be treated to the best of beaches, restaurants, hiking and a welcoming local community!Certainly hope to return!

Burgau converted fisherman’s cottage

We had a great stay; perfect location, close to other towns in the Algarve. It was clean and all amenities provided, especially a flashlight which came in handy during a huge rain storm with loss of power.Great balcony and view! Nice restaurants close by.Would stay there again!

The location and view from here are unbeatable. This is exactly what I wanted on my trip to the algarve. When I was at the apartment I spent my time on the balcony. This is so close to the beach and perfect if you’re looking for beach access. The apartment itself is cute and comfortable with a nice shower. I was surprised there was a laundry machine, which is very handy to have. The kitchen has everything you need. It’s an older apartment but well taken care of. I would stay here again.

Great view, the space was smaller than we imagined and the bed could use improving, not very comfy- a bit left to be desired with the cleanliness. Communication was ok. Location was lovely.

Wonderful location. Perfect size. A bit tight for older customers 76 and 82 regarding climbing the stairs and climbing in and out of the bed in a small room, however the charm and view made it all worth while. Location is perfect, and near by restaurants and grocer as well as bus stop location made it a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Town

We loved Burgau. The VRBO was great for us. It was a little hard to find. That was the only difficulty. The apartment had what we needed. It was right across the street from 2 restaurants. We loved the view from the upstairs balcony. We would gladly stay here again. It was great for the two of us. It would be tight for any more than 3 or so.

Burgau cottage with a view

The location and view from patio are amazing, but the apartment could use some love : chipped ceramic tile repaired with scotch tape, one bedside light only, bed up against a wall, and the kitchen sink leaked, causing water to pool on floor when washing up.

An absolute gem in the heart of Burgau

I booked this particular apartment primarily because the view from the balcony looked so amazing (which it is!). Overall, the apartment exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and facilities...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Oasis in perfect location

The bed was very comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We loved it here. Only one word of caution for older travelers: the stairs in the apartment can be treacherous. I fell down twice before I got the hang of it.

A perfect view in a seaside town full of character

Character is the right word for the town— twisting little walkways, going up and down, narrow alleys and streets, nearly all buildings painted white with bright blue. This apartment has a small but perfect for two balcony, an adequate kitchen, and a comfortable bed. We want to come back here again and again!

Lovely break

Have just had a lovely stay in Casa Pedro. What a perfect location. Everything you would need in walking distance. The view from the balcony wonderful and lovely restaurants on your doorstep. Stairs a little steep but had been told about that and bedroom a bit tight but again was already aware of this. All in all a lovely holiday and property would go again.

Good location. Good view. There the good things end. Bad smell lingered throughout our stay. Cockroaches in the bathroom & bedroom. The boiler broke down twice. No hot water for 4 nights. The bedroom is too small for 2 adults, you really can't move around in there. No space for suitcases. Not enough storage Lots of other minor problems, some solved by Rental Valley. Some compensation given, fair enough but not a good experience. This property needs re-thinking.

Burgau cottage

Place is just as described. Very small but great location with view of the beautiful beach from our balcony and close to restaurants!! Great area for hiking. We had some trouble finding it and had to ask local resident. In your check in notes you could mention it’s above the ice cream shop and there’s a narrow access on the left across from Breeze cafe !

Cute small right at beach

Great spot if you want quiet and the sound of waves. Real nice restaurants around it and a very romantic spot. The place is small ( have to go outside to change your mind). Was a bit hard to find at first as it is not on a street you drive on. After finding it was great. Would stay again

Skip Casa Pablo and Burgau

This rental is difficult too find, extremely cramped and the bathroom smells like a septic tank. You are across the alley from Miam rastaurant that has a noisy bar, music and patrons until after 11 pm each night. If you think you like to sleep with the window open and hear the ocean, not happening. They provided 1 tea pod and 1 coffee pod for the Nescafe coffee maker.

Like a seat in a box

We enjoyed the mornings and evenings on the small balcony overlooking the near beach. In the kitchen you find everything you need. The bathroom is okay with a big shower. If you don't mind the narrow stairs up to the living-room and balcony as well as the very small bedroom, it's a perfect apartment for some days in the nice village of Burgau. Check- in is easy to manage with a key-box.

Perfect location and views

This is really a dream location in beautiful Burgau. The balcony sold it for us and it didn't disappoint for great views and watching the sun set. The cottage is small with narrow stairs and a small bedroom, but this is all manageable - it's a fisherman's cottage! Bathroom and kitchen are sufficient. Our favourite restaurant Miam is literally across the street, the beach is seconds away, and just up the street Love Burgau do fantastic cocktails. The property company was very responsive and helpful when we needed. But overall the cottage needs some minor care and attention. Walls are all marked, sofa is threadbare and worn so much it was painful to lean on, and the shower drain was partly blocked.

Charming but small!

Pros: Balcony is the highlight as spectacular views. Nice and airy living space. Kitchen and bathroom spaces are adequate sizes. Very thoughtful package on arrival (wine, water, milk, butter). Lots of products in the cupboards including coffee, tea, oils, seasonings etc. Every eventuality is thought of with the provisions, including health and safety provisions. Cons: Bedroom is very very small, difficulty getting in & out of the bed due to bed flat up against the wall. Only way for one partner is to scooch to the bottom of the bed which has a large wooden bed frame. Lots of bruises!! Not much room for clothes, shoes, suitcases in the fitted wardrobe which has limited access due to the bed! Ok for us as we travel light. Chest of drawers is outside the bedroom as no room in the bedroom. Intermittent drain smells coming from the toilet pan.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in Burgau

Wir haben unseren sechstägigen Aufenthalt in Burgau sehr genossen! Das Apartment hat uns alles geboten, was wir brauchten. Der Meerblick vom Balkon im Obergeschoss ist wunderschön und es lässt sich das Treiben in den Restaurants und in der schmalen Strasse gut beobachten. Parkieren war mit etwas Geduld gerade so möglich. Manchmal mussten wir auf den grösseren Parkplatz aus weichen und konnten nicht auf der Strasse vor dem Haus parkieren. Das hat uns aber nicht besonders gestört. In der Hochsaison könnte es aber wahrscheinlich schwierig werden, einen Parkplatz im Dorf zu finden. Wir haben die Atmosphäre in Burgau sehr genossen und der riesige Strand ist perfekt zum Entspannen, Laufen und Picknicken geeignet. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Traumhafte Lage in kleinem Fischerhaus

Traumhafte Lage in kleinem Fischerhaus direkt am Strand von Burgau. Leider haben sich mit der Zeit einige Mängel in der Unterkunft ergeben. Tipp an die Vermieter: verbringen Sie 1-2- Tage im Jahr selbst in der Unterkunft, erkennen die Mängel und beseitigen diese.
