Good

Everything was good except the beds were very uncomfortable. It was a basic beach front without the luxury. If the beds were updated I would stay here again. It was still a good last minute get away.

things not working

The sliding door on balcony not operable host call said it was hard but worked my wife and daughter could not use at all, kitchen sink spout does not move from sink to sink, front door code worked sometime think battery was going out but my biggest complaint was the MBR bed squeaked so bad you couldn't even sleep we left a day early

Annual Family Beach Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been visiting El Constante for several years and this is the second time we've stayed in a beachfront condo. Padre Escapes makes it very easy to book our stay and is very helpful with any questions. The condo was very clean and comfortable for our family of four. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including a coffee maker and a Keurig. A few things to know about this condo: the sliding glass door on the main level was extremely hard to open and close, plus the outside handle was loose. Master bed is very noisy with any movement but comfortable. The hideaway sofa bed would not lay flat when being used. We used the sofa cushions underneath the top of the bed to make it flat. The entire El Constante property was kept clean. We really like the beach being steps away from the condo as well as the pool and hot tub. We will definitely come back to El Constante in the future.

Room 208

The only downside was the downstairs restroom had a strong urine smell. The downstairs sliding door to go out to the balcony was extremely difficult to slide for opening and closing. One of the bedrooms with the king size bed, we couldn’t get the tv to work. Everything else was great!

Every time one of us turned it made all kinds of noise. But the view was perfect! Very clean, nicely put together! We all agreed we would stay here again since we go to North Padre a lot! Just please fix that master bed, and would be nice if there were 2 beds in 2nd bedroom for each of my kids. They hated sharing 😆

Needs improvement

Couldn’t sleep in the master bed because it was so loud. When you moved it would wake everyone up. All sliding doors would barely open without significant force. Lip on interior stairs was dangerous. My boyfriend actually fell down them. Water pressure was horrible. View was nice. Would not stay at this property again.

Kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and clean. It had all we needed except for a very minor detail, there was only hand soap in just the bathroom downstairs. But, there’s was an Island grocery close by to grab whatever you needed which was very convenient. The master bedroom the bed mattress was comfortable but bed frame itself was a little too/creaky when u would try to adjust yourself. A small little side table would be a nice addition on the balcony as well. But other than that everything else was great! We would definitely come back!

Unit 208 is a dump. Be choosy which unit you rent.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The complex and pool (heated) are great - on the beach, clean - worthy of 4 stars. Come stay here, but be choosy about which unit you stay in. DO NOT RENT UNIT 208; it is a DUMP. Clearly bought run down to rent out with minimal, poorly done "lipstick" renovations in a complex that is almost 40 years old. Everything is shabby, only one burner on the stove is safe to use, the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes, the kitchen is bare bones for dishes and the table looks like it was original, sofa bed was only used one night it is so uncomfortable, the master bed creaks to the point it wakes the whole household up, linens are inadequate (cotton coverlet only), decor is dreary and dated (dusty silk plants on top of the kitchen cabinets, a shell wreath on the master wall that has to be 30 years old). I could go on, but you get the picture. After fees, the rent was over $500 per night - not worth anywhere near that price. And, to top it off, the management wanted to charge us $25 to access the unit one hour early (check in is 4:00 which is late and check out is 11) even though the unit was clean and empty and had not been rented out the night before we arrived.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Got off to a rocky start with a/c not working, but it was quickly repaired. Two days in, the sink fell into the cabinet below. We were about 1 1/2 days without a kitchen sink. Though we had issues Padre Escapes always quickly responded with a cheerful voice and sympathetic ear. A/C repairman came out at 9:30 pm. He was so friendly and so efficient! I've used Padre Escapes for years now and will continue to for my visits there!!!
