The property is in a Conservation area and used to be a stable. It was modernised into a superb dwelling facing the sea on 2 floors 15 years ago with half an acre of gardens and a heated pool all facing the sea, on a cliff in Torquay.

There is a barbecue at disposition.

The property is 10 minutes walk to the beach and 15 to 20 minutes walk to the harbour and the high street.

The carer lives downstairs and doesn’t t share any of the kitchen or living room or garden pool area with the guests and uses a different entrance.
There are cats on the premises.


Cats live on the property and can be seen occasionally.

Beautiful hillside house

We had a wonderful relaxing holiday in this beautiful house, surrounded by lovely gardens and views of the bay. We took full advantage of the heated pool and the easy 10 minute walk to the beach. It was perfect for a chilled out family holiday - a comfortable home and welcoming, generous hosts. Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful Place, Lovely Hosts!

The pool was a massive hit! The hosts took care of heating it cleaned and readied every day and packed it away at night. Be a little careful with feet as it's a sturdy, classic pool with concrete flooring so either use water sport/waterproof clean footwear or just be mindful of scraping your feet too much on the floor, but you won't regret taking a dip! The place is within walking distance of meadfood beach (had great creamy ice cream there!) and we also walked down to the harbour. The views of these places from the house are stunning. The home is a lived in place, sentimental and cultural items dotted all around the home and features lots of family photos too that give it a real staying-with-friends feel if you like that sort of vibe. There are plenty of towels and believe me, we used them(!) and even shampoo/body wash if needed. Supermarkets aren't too far and can deliver if you want to have that sorted rather than worrying about packing or bringing too much food with you. Miriyam is incredibly friendly and fun and was happy to help out in any way- the kids loved her! We've never visited Torquay before and I'm so pleased this was our introduction 😁

A little bit of heaven

Myriam’s wonderful home offers tranquility, beautiful views and the perfect place to relax…..come rain or shine Myriam resides with her family on-site at lower level but you do feel as if you have the whole home to yourselves. The property is beautifully decorated, well equipped and surrounded by lovely gardens and views…..with a hint of a Mediterranean feel. We were able to make use of the pool on the few sunny days we had which was great You must like cats ….as the families pets do like to make themselves at home with you Overall I would recommend this place for a peaceful time away

Lovely stay at Belton House

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this fantastic location. The kids loved the heated pool and we enjoyed the views. The house was very clean and well equipped. The hosts, Myriam & Graham were very friendly and on hand for any questions and advice about the area.

Peace and tranquility

Very characterful property in a really quiet location. Myriam and Graham are great hosts and our privacy was respected at all times. Felt like a home from home (apart from the view which is much better here!) and we had a very relaxing week enjoying the garden, pool and surrounding area

Stunning accommodation

A beautiful house furnished to the highest standard. The grounds were delightful. Our hosts were charming and most friendly and helpful.

Fantastic views and great facilities

We really enjoyed our stay. The views from the house are glorious and it was great to have so much outdoor space including the heated swimming pool to enjoy it from. The hosts were really welcoming and very helpful with any questions and requests we had. They provided everything we needed including a food and drink welcome pack. The house owners live in the apartment downstairs and go in to the property via a different entrance but there is an open connection (baby gate on the stairs) between the two levels. However it did feel quite separate. The house is in a really quiet and pretty residential area but it’s easy to walk in to the town centre and marina. Thanks for your hospitality Mimi!

A promising new entry in Torquay

The location of the property is excellent, in a nice residential area with great sea views, partly covered by trees. The host Myriam is very welcoming and caring. She left us the parking space inside the property and welcomed us with a nice bottle of champagne. She just started hosting and needs to fix a few important aspects. 1. More photos to show the heated pool (excellent) and outside dining area (could with a sun shade), the nice conservatory (needs a redecoration), the stairs (steep and unprotected, hence not safe for young children) that lead to the second bedroom; 2. More privacy: currently the available property is de facto part of Myriam's house. It is super clean but it lacks privacy. Myriam lives with her husband on the basement floor, which connects with the ground floor via an open staircase. I suggest she tries to enhance the privacy by somehow closing the access to the ground floor from the basement. Also there is no door at the entrance of the kitchen/dining/living room. 3. Myriam has two lovey cats and one dog: we had no problems, but if she wants to attract a broad range of guests she should find a way to avoid that they freely access the ground floor, where the main bedroom and the kitchen/dining/living room are located. Thank you Myriam for your hospitality and best effort. I am sure that over time your property will become most suitable for a beautiful holiday, in lovely Torquay.

A lovely week in Torquay

We loved our stay at this delightful house with a fantastic view of Torquay and the bay. The house is set in extensive gardens with a charming orangery, pond, and heated swimming pool (which we were able to use even at the end of October). The house is very comfortable and facilities are excellent. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. If you just want to settle down in comfort and chill out there is a vast collection of books and magazines to linger over. The very kind and charming owners did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and gave us loads of suggestions of things to do with the children. We wouldn’t hesitate to return here. Thank you so much to Myriam and Graham for their warm welcome and hospitality.
