My family's first trip to Hawaii/Maui. Our condo unit was awesome. Perfect setup for a family of 8 adults and 1 child. Would definitely recommend the property and management company who I communicated with. Very responsive and helpful. I also recommend to reserve cabanas if you have a large family who wants to sit together on a pool day.

Great location and views were amazing. The floorplan layout was perfect for 3 adults and 3 kids. The main complaint was the cleanliness of the bedroom carpets and furniture. Not in good shape and very stained. In addition, the balcony furniture had lots of bird droppings which needed to be cleaned. Overall, we would stay here again but recommend a deep cleaning.

Beautiful Ocean Views

We loved the three bedroom full kitchen amenities that included a washer and dryer and several bathrooms. The views from the rooms were spectacular. We will come back for sure!

Beautiful Maui

This property is spectacular! The complex is upscale and everyone is friendly. We snorkeled right off the beach in addition to the other hot spots around the island and the reef here was almost as nice. The kids swam with sea turtles everyday. I would highly recommend this property and cant wait to return someday.

Breath taking views

Spacious, well equipped, comfortable beds & linens, fantastic ocean view. Easy access to pool and ocean. Spotty WiFi. Beach umbrellas would have been a plus. We purchased two beach umbrellas and left them in the closet with beach chairs. Overall, fantastic getaway!

Great stay for family.

This unit was well suited for our group of 6 adults and one child of 4yrs. We all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms which were well appointed and anything we needed was addressed right away by the property management company. The unit showing its age but I still highly recommend.

Property is great ! Room needs updating ( 629) . Beautiful Ocean view with lots of Whales. AC was very difficult to use, one shower leaked on floor due to incorrect sealing of door! Maintenance called no show . Overall we had a great time though would probably stay elsewhere next time

One week in Maui at Easter

Loved room 629. We traveled with a 78 year old, my sons in their 20’s and my husband and me. Condo was fabulous. Great view and comfortable beds. Spent our time on the balcony. The chairs could use some updating as the armrests are coming apart. We are on the big table and played cards. Kitchen was great. Measuring cups, whisk and a small bowl for dip would have been helpful. Lots of beach chairs and a cooler in the closet. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the unit and Dukes to go menu is fantastic.

We enjoyed our stay , but have a few comments on the property.

The rental property is showing signs of aging/wear, especially in the bathrooms and kitchen area. Guest Bathroom tile is very dirty. Cabinet doors in kitchen area are very loose. The lounge chair on the lanai is coming apart and should be replaced.

Beautiful kitchen, not sure it's worth the price and staff was rude.

The room was beautiful, great view, amazing kitchen but for that price we were expecting nicer/updated beds and nice sheets. The sheets were scratchy. The staff was rude. As soon as they found out we booked through VRBO they no longer speak to us and told us to go outside and find someone standing in a shack. My son accidently left the shower door cracked and some water leaked out. We went to the front desk asking for a couple of towels and told them what happened. They said we had to call the property manager if we wanted towels. Anything we asked them during the week they dismissed us.

When renting directly from a condo owner, guests contact the property manager directly for assistance, as the front desk is managed by Outrigger Hotels. We sent several messages throughout your stay but didn’t hear from you, and we’re sorry if communications weren’t clear. NOT worth the cost!

We have stayed at Honua Kai over 1/2 a dozen times. This property by far was on the lowest end of luxury by far & we paid the very most for it. It’s in desperate need of an update. The couch & pillows were dirty and need to be replaced. The dishwasher was literally falling out of the cupboard & not attached. The buttons on dishwasher were broken. In order to turn it on, you had to shove a toothpick or bobby-pin into broken slot. Since the property is not “managed” by the hotel itself, we could not receive the amenities needed. We had to call the property management directly & wait for toilet paper and daily toiletries. It was really inconvenient. I will never book through VRBO again for a unit at the Honua Kai.

We hold ourselves to a high standard of cleanliness and we apologize we fell short with your stay. We have addressed this housekeeping failure with our team and the sofa has been deep cleaned. The dishwasher was out of balance and after the legs were adjusted by our technician we understood that it was running well for you. The missing button was the indicator light, which didn't affect the operation of the machine. We have since installed a new Bosch dishwasher. Unlike a hotel stay, when renting directly from a condo owner additional paper & soap products are readily provided by the property manager during our guest experience hours of 8am to 8pm. We apologize for any inconvenience the dishwasher and the requesting of toiletries may have caused. Thank you again for taking time to write your comments. Great Place

Great view, rooms, resort, and location. Changed locks mid rental and sent us the wrong code. AC in the living room wouldn't run in the afternoon. Other than that it was great.
