Disappointing
We had high hopes, but this stay was disappointing. At first glance, it seemed clean, but the floors had a thick, dusty residue, almost like paint dust. The beds were extremely uncomfortable—if you have back issues, avoid this place. I even tried stacking the two twin mattresses for support, but it barely helped.
Mosquitoes were a big issue, with bites covering me the first night. Although they sprayed, I ended up buying a plug-in repellent to keep them away. The bathroom setup was also frustrating, with no shelves or hooks for towels or toiletries, plus very limited supplies (no tissues, only two toilet paper rolls for three people, and no laundry detergent).
Natural light was scarce, and the street noise at night was very disruptive. We also had no blankets the first night, making it uncomfortably cold. The trash system was confusing, with extra charges if you missed the collection.
Worst of all, the communication was poor. Despite replying immediately to their texts, responses from staff took hours, and at checkout, no one showed up as promised. We left the keys with their driver but later got messages asking where the keys were. Overall, though the area was charming, I’d recommend staying closer to the Piazza of Archimedes for better access to shops. The lack of amenities, comfort, and clear communication made this stay fall short of expectations.
