We booked a 1 bdrm 1 bath as we were coming down for extensive dental work. After waiting for 10 minutes at the guard gate they told us we didn’t have a reservation (even though I had the booking number and reservation number), he called the front desk and they said to come into the lobby. Then we were told our original unit had an a/c problem so they moved us to a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit, for an additional $94! When I said “absolutely not” she informed me that the (unauthorized) charge was already charged to my cc at 9am that morning! We attempted to call the Casago management; explained the issue, he agreed that we shouldn’t have to incur that cost. Put us on hold only to be hung up on 15 minutes of being on hold. Having only 15 minutes to get to our first dentist appt, we just took the key and went to the room, dropped our stuff and went to the dentist. The next morning we woke up to massive construction going on in the unit right next to us! The entire 2 days, throbbing dental work with a tile saw and hammering; all for an additional $94. The units are old as we were prepared for; all I wanted was a comfy bed which the first unit we booked had many reviews of a comfy bed. (Which by the way, THAT unit was owned by an owner and conveniently they moved us to a Casago unit). We go to RP at least 10 x a year. W out a doubt we will NEVER go back to this complex. The “you get what you pay for” is very true with this complex, but then to get screwed out of another $94 for a 2 bdrm that we didn’t need was not fair. I WILL say the best part of this resort is the restaurant! Very friendly staff; amazing food (portions are huge) and for a very reasonable price! We WILL come back to the restaurant!!
