The historic Chapel Schoolhouse in Minffordd welcomes you to tastefully renovated luxury with 5 double/twin en-suite rooms, large lounge with woodburner and panoramic views towards Snowdon, and an open plan kitchen with range cooker and breakfast bar. Stepping out onto the paved terrace you can enjoy a Cedarwood Hot Tub, BBQ, picnic table, outdoor chess & Chimenea. The property has underfloor heating, off-road parking for 5 cars and is 10 minutes walk to the Italianate village of Portmeirion, the Ffestiniog Railway and local Beaches. The towns of Porthmadog and Penrhyndeudraeth are close by and the Cob causeway with its amazing sea & mountain views 10 minutes walk. The many natural and adventure tourism wonders of Snowdonia are easily accessible from Minffordd, you are sure to have a memorable stay in 'Ysgoldy Capel Minffordd'

Wow factor

Absolutely stunning property! We stayed for 4 nights for a first full family holiday ranging from 16 months to 90 years old! All family members loved it. Rooms were spacious and clean. It’s hard trying to find a place to stay that can cater for all ages, from a travel cot to hot tub, to disabled access and accessibility bathroom. This place had it all. Location was great with portmeirion across the road and Porthmadog a short drive away. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Stunning renovation in a beautiful location

We would 100% recommend anyone to stay at this property. We were a party of 11 ranging in ages from 4 weeks old to mid-60s, and had the most wonderful time. The Chapel has been renovated to the highest standard. It is absolutely beautiful, full of original features, and beautiful new additions. Each room has been so well thought out. The beds were so comfortable, the numerous bathrooms were luxurious and immaculate. The electric velux windows were a lovely addition... to wake up to the sunshine without even leaving your bed. Downstairs, the large, double-height living room has everything you need: log burning fire, large sofas, games and books aplenty, large TV, and views out to the patio, hot tub, and Snowdonia beyond. The huge dining table is fit for a grand feast, and the stunning kitchen was equipped with everything you could ever need to cook anything you could think of! I've never seen such a fantastically stocked hire property before. Towels, linens, cleaning supplies, great utility room... it's all there! Communication with the owners was great too. They sent a very thorough property and local area guide with everything we needed to know and more. It was incredibly useful! I also text them on the first day with a small query, and they were quick to respond. Very helpful Location wise, you can't get better. Easy to find, minutes from Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Snowdonia, numerous shops, takeaways, restaurants, a petrol station, the beach. We're already planning another visit. Just need to decide whether we want to enjoy the Hot Tub and panoramic views of Snowdonia in the summer or winter next time!

Absolutely outstanding

This place is truly stunning. Our host Adrian was delightful to deal with and always on hand if we needed him. If someone could have recorded our reactions when we first walked in! It was just like being at home... Only bigger more beautiful and a safe place to spend time as a large family. I cannot recommend this place enough to everyone. Thank you again for letting us stay in your property
