Our stay was deeply disappointing and fell far below expectations. From the outset, the experience was disorganized—we were left waiting at the airport for nearly an hour due to missing check-in details from the host who called at 4pm to say his system didn't sync and he wasn't aware we were checking in today and had just called the cleaners who showed up two hours after check in at 6pm at which point he suggested we leave to get food while it was cleaned. The couches were filthy with stains so the cleaners covered the couches with blankets so we could sit. On top of that the home was unacceptable. The oven was broken with a missing door, and basic cleanliness standards were not met. Most concerning was a clear cockroach infestation primarily in the kitchen and one bedroom making it impossible to cook or feel comfortable. The response from management was "we were in the tropics" and failed to address the severity of the issue. Several advertised amenities were either unusable or defective, including a dirty plunge pool, a malfunctioning washing machine, and a non-working TV remote. Cleanliness remained questionable even after the rushed cleaning, and we had to wash bedding ourselves. Overall, the property was misrepresented and did not meet basic standards of hygiene, safety, or functionality These ongoing issues significantly impacted our stay, leading to frustration, inconvenience, and additional expenses as we couldn't use the groceries we purchased and ate out daily.
