Rodothea on the Beach is a typical one bedroom greek island decorated apartment based at Monolithos area, which is just few steps from the well – known Monolithos Beach. The apartment has been tastefully furnished and decorated aiming at offering you the ultimate comfort and luxury ,always aiming at your enjoyment. The balcony itself is ideal to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or your afternoon drink whilst taking in the great sea views and views of the traditional harbour of Monolithos, Shops, restaurant and typical taverns are within close proximity and the property itself is only a short drive to the airport . A short drive further you will find Fira and Kamari with an array of shops , bars, restaurants and numerous beaches .. . In addition, a bus station is very closed to the property with a line every 60 minutes.

The apartment has a spacious open plan kitchen dining area and living room and is fully equipped with all modern appliances including all kitchen utensils, a washing machine, fridge freezer, cooker , satellite tv, dvd player, wifi internet etc .Access to the balcony is provided both from the kitchen and the bedroom . Further in you will find the tastefully furnished bedroom with a comfortable double bed, built in wardrobes and the bedroom itself offers nice sea views , so whats more inviting than waking up to the seaview .. To accommodate extra guests there is sofa bed in the living room and we can provide an additional bed if needed and also a baby travel cot can be provided on request..

Parking area is also available in the event that you do hire a car .........

Wonderful beachfront property

Enjoyed our stay at this property. it is 10 minutes by car to the airport. We liked being out of the heavy tourist traffic of the Fira side of the island. We easily explored the entire island by car. There is a nice beach right next to this place also.

Beach front apartment in quiet location

Beach apartment,perfect for family,peaceful view.Monoilthos beach not overly crowded and if you need some Thira or Oia activity only 15 to 20 min by car. Walking distance to few restaurants serving fresh fish and traditional Greek dishes,also local store nearby. We really enjoy our one week stay in Santorini.Thank you Andreas.

Amazing!

We were greeted by Andreas upon arrival and I couldnt have asked for a better host! So accommodating & friendly. He helped us find best restaurants and hotspots while in Santorini. My group was genuinely sad when we had to say goodbye. 10/10 recommend

Not Acceptable

Never moved in VRBO should inspect and evaluate properties as this before publishing in their site because is a run down apartment in a dump desert area with out address please pay attention.

Very disappointing based on photos and prior reviews

Let me start with the positive. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Now for the review. We stayed in the apartment for 13 days and honestly, couldn’t wait to leave. The place is furnished like a college dorm room. All the furniture is very basic and uncomfortable. There are no end tables or coffee tables, there is cheap dishware, glasses, utensils and bedding. The bathroom needs updating. The AC unit is not strong enough to cool the entire apartment. What makes it even worse is when you leave the apartment, the AC automatically shuts off (there is no way to keep it on). When you go out for the whole day, you come back to a very hot place. The Internet was awful the whole time that we were there. We could barely use it at times. The balcony is not private at all. The people that stayed next to us were outside on their balcony a lot smoking and were quite loud. We were hardly able to use the balcony as a result. Around the property, you will find junk abandoned cars, trash and people hanging around outside at night. The beach nearby was also underwhelming.

In phantastischer Lage, für Strandurlaub auch mit Kindern sehr gut geeignet. Leider ziemlich abgenutzt mit nakter Glühbirne im Schlafzimmer, ohne funktionierende Nachttischlampe, mit dürftiger Restausstattung an Geschirr und heruntergekommenen Liegestühlen auf der Terasse. Schade, weil bei dem Preis schon ein Tagespreis für die Instanthaltung reichen würde.

Appartamento molto bello di fronte al mare con tutte le comodità. Posizione ottima: spiaggia di Monolitos adatta alle famiglie a pochi passi, ristoranti e minimarket molto vicini. Consiglio, però, il noleggio di una piccola macchina per visitare l’isola con maggiore libertà. Impianto di condizionamento nuovo di zecca. Proprietario e team molto disponibili. Mi mancherà il suono delle onde del mare!

Poorly equipped and run down apartment

We are a family of four and stayed for one week. We were really disappointed. We had hoped for a beautiful and well equipped luxury apartment because of the description and the reviews. But almost everything was missing. We had no dishwasher, had to eat out of plastic bowls and the cutlery was of the cheapest kind, too. We didn't even have scissors. There was a washing machine without a manual and all the signs on it were in Greek, so it wasn't easy to get it started. The view of the ocean was clearly beautiful, but you shouldn't get close. Outside was a car park cluttered with debris and waste. A wreck of an old car was directly next to the house. All day and night cars and quads were coming and going directly beneath our balcony. It was really very noisy. People were shouting too. The beach was full of debris and waste too. Because of the heat we had to keep the windows open all the time. There was only one air condition in the bedroom that produced a very nasty smell so we couldn't use it. The children were sleeping in the big kitchen aka living room. There was no air condition there. We missed all the comfort and beautiful surroundings we had hoped for. On the plus side I have to say that the landlord was nice enough and when the toilet broke down and I sent an email in the morning he sent a woman to fix it and she came on the same day, well it was nearly midnight but she was there and she fixed it. She also organised a big bowl that I needed for salads. She got it from the apartment next door, that is also owned by the same landlord Andreas. He also organised our transit from the ferry to the apartment and from the apartment to the airport.That was really very helpful. So thank you for that. Non the less we really cannot recommend the apartment or the surroundings. The village of Monolithos was not what we expected. Nobody seems to care about the environment. There is so much debris and waste everywhere. Even on the beach and in the ocean you find plastic bottles and wrappings and cans. The place really looks run down and neglected. In the next village all is beautiful maintained and clean with a nice promenade.

Nice and comfortable apartment in the small village of Monilithos.

Nice clean apartment with a view of a small fishing port. 3 restaurants, a small market and a bus stop are within 200 yards of apartment. Also, awonderful beach is about 100 yards from the apartment. Buses run often and It is easy to get into the villages of Thera and Oia where all the tourists go and reside.

Beautiful apartment and great beach and restaurants

We had a fabulous time! The apartment was clean and everyone was nice. We had to rent a car in order to get around. Far from Fira and Oia. We spent most of our time out there and sightseeing.

Beautiful Property. Very Welcoming Locals.

This property was separated from the rest of the island with its own little community of restaurants and a market close by. It was very nice and convenient. One of the restaurants even made us 4 custom chocolate souffles for my daughters birthday. The locals are very nice and accommodating. The sun rises were beautiful. 4 of us stayed in the apartment with plenty of room. The bus stop was right down the road from the apartment so getting to and from Thira was simple. We enjoyed the beautiful patio and being right on the beach. The view was truly unforgettable.

excellente location face à la mer

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'appartement Rodothea à Santorin. Très bien équipé pour une famille. Situé à 5 min de l'aéroport, en front de mer, à 10 min de Fira et 30 min d'Oia. Tout est proche. Le lever de soleil y est superbe et le quartier très calme. Andreas est très serviable et extrêmement réactif, nous recevions une réponse à nos questions par mail dans la 1/2 heure suivante ! Santorin est vraiment une île superbe qui mérite de s'y arrêter.

Just as pretty as the pictures show!

Right on the beach, beautiful view of the sunrise and the local fisherman below. Apartment is modern, kitchen had everything. Savina helped out while we stayed there and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended for a summer getaway :)

Härlig avkoppling nära stranden

Härlig lägenhet nära stranden i lugnt område. Några enstaka helt OK restauranger i byn men nära även med buss till staden Fira där mycket turister finns och många restauranger. Hyrbil kan man få levererad till lägenheten vilket gör det enkelt att bara hyra bil någon dag under veckan.

Nice apartment with view and close beach

Very nice apartment and supportive owner supporting us during the week. Monolithos is an authentic village with small amount of tourists and a very nice beach. Easy to get to main city Fira for all tourists attractions with bus or rental car. Rental car delivered directly to the door!

Hidden tranquil gem

The apartments were more than expected.Home from home.It was immaculate and Rosi who greeted us was very informative.She phoned and arranged with a local fisherman to sell us fish straight from the fishing boat.The apatrmenta were in. Quiet little village ,the view magnificent where you look on to a little working harbour where all the little fishing boats bobbed about.which had three restuarant and one supermarket.There was a good bus service from the village that took you straight to Fira where you could catch a further bus to Oui. Would definately recommend apartments tranquil for parents to chill at night on the balcony over looking the sea when kids are in bed.

Lovely apartment

We were met at the ferry port just after midnight andctakenbto the apartment. Rosi was there to welcome us and show us around. The apartment is clean and comfortable, well equipped and has good WiFi. There was a problem with the electric kettle which was promptly replaced and when the power went off, we were able to contact the manager who checked to make sure it wasn't just our unit. The bus service is irregular at this time of year, so a hire car is needed. We enjoyed our week on Santorini and would recommend this apartment for a comfortable stay.

Great apartment with wonderful view of the sea!

Great apartment, exactly what I was looking for in a long-term rental. Located on Monolithos Beach, with beautiful views of the sea & magnificent sunrises. Loved being here in the winter as it was quiet, though the buses only run three times a day. Loved my walks to Kamari and Karterados and also able to walk to the Supermarket in Mesaria. Make sure to stop in the bakery in Mesaria and fresh fish at Captain Loizo's. Andreas and Rozy, thank you so much for all your help and checking on me to make sure everything was going well. I really felt at home at Rodothea and look forward to visiting again.

Adams on the beach

The apartment was great and really enjoyed staying there , the balcony was superb and could eat or drink , read and listen to the sea and also great having the beach so near , as I could when going to sleep ,having the wifi was useful , there's so much to see in santorini , oi , Fira , the coast road to lighthouse , ancient citiy ruins and lots nice villages and windmills doted around , the temperature was just nice around the mid twenties , overall a great visit . Many thanks to Andeas , Rozy and Costas for making stay so pleasant would certainly recommend Adams on the beach . Matthew.
