The private fenced garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue invites guests to unwind in total privacy, making it ideal for families or small groups. Inside, the home is equipped with electric heating, a washing machine, and a secure garage. A high chair and cot are available on request, ensuring comfort for guests with children. Essentials like groceries and restaurants are just 4 km away, while Chinon's historic center and Château are only 4 km from the doorstep. For active travelers, kayaking, fishing, and a public swimming pool are all nearby.

Poor 'Customs House' - tired and unloved

The image used on the listing for this property is not the part of the house that you will be renting. It is very tired, with broken garden furniture. The garden is not fully enclosed. It is attached to the owner's property, which may or may not be occupied. (We were told it would not be, yet someone appeared at the end of the week). There is no freezer here, no oven, and the crockery is mainly badly chipped. There are two sets of steep stairs with no handrails, unsuitable for small children or elderly visitors. Worst of all there are no towels, no teatowels, no dishcloths, and bizarrely although the beds have bottom sheets there are no duvet covers at all. We contacted the management company Belvilla for assistance which was useless, the mobile no for the caretaker who did not respond, and the owner whose email was in the folder, (bounced back) and Vrbo about this, none of whom responded. Chinon is a lovely area, the garden delightful and the area very peaceful but stay somewhere else. We felt that the owner was charging way too much for the accommodation and will be asking for a partial refund

Fantastische locatie, met name het buitenleven. Prachtige tuin met een geweldig uitzicht. Veel schaduwplekken te vinden. Heerlijk rustig. Super fijn zwembad voor de afkoeling. Tuin geheel omheind waardoor de honden vrij kunnen rondlopen. Huis blijft ondanks de hoge buitentemperatuur koel door de dikke stenen muren. Keuken had iets beter uitgerust kunnen zijn. We misten vooral een oven. Huis minder geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn (steile trap naar woning met een paar hoge treden).

Tolle Unterkunft in ursprünglichem Stil (altes Zollhaus). Die Außenanlage ist ein Traum, der Pool und der Garten (der riesen groß und ideal auch zum Auslauf für Hunde ist) sind sehr gut gepflegt. Der Gastgeber ist immer ansprechbar, freundlich und begrüßt mit Wein aus der Region. Ein genialer Ort um abzuschalten und die Ruhe zu genießen.

Wat een rust, heerlijk in the middle of nowhere! Huisje is een beetje klein voor 4 personen, maar de tuin maakt een hoop goed, mits het mooi weer is! Die Ankunft war sehr gut. Der Hausverwalter hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Eine Flasche Wein und eine Flasche Wasser standen als Präsent bereit. Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft schön und die Umgebung wunderschön. Gerade die nahe gelegene Stadt Chinon ist ein tolles Ausflugsziel und bietet neben der tollen Kulisse allen Komfort mit seinen Geschäften die man benötigt.

Het geluid van krekels, kabbelend beekje, de prachtige tuin en de luxe van een privé zwembad ! Een heerlijke plek om uit te rusten ! Prima uitvalsbasis voor brocantemarkten, kastelen. Wij mochten voor een week het leven als een god in Frankrijk ervaren !

Grote ontgoocheling. Op het eerste zicht leek alles piccobello, tot we goed en wel geïnstalleerd waren. De tuin en zwembad zijn mooi en proper maar het huis binnen is echt vuil en slecht onderhouden. Ik weet echt niet waarom wij bij ons vertrek, ter plaatse, nog 55 euro moesten betalen voor zogezegd 'het poetsen'!! Benieuwd waar het geld naartoe gaat!
