Fabulous stay!

Stunning, spacious property with a lovely pool area and direct access to the beach - perfect for our group of 13. Everything was immaculate and the wonderful feast on arrival was much appreciated - the gorgeous dining hall deserves a special mention. Antonio was very helpful, proactive and prompt with any queries and requests. Hope to be back soon!

Portugal Family Holiday

The property was beautiful and well stocked with kitchen needs. The rooms were spacious and the ground were well kept. The manager was prompt with issues we had and they were resolved fairly quickly. There were 14 adults and 9 children ages 3 months to 8 years and were we not crowded in the house - which I find amazing. I will tell any friends about this place if they plan a trip to the area.

Fabulous week with Family

I’m not sure I could describe our absolute satisfaction with the property, the location and the host with simple words. The host thought of everything when planning for our visit. Even surprising my husband with decorations for his birthday. We were a large family ranging in age from baby to 60 years old. We all loved it. Lots to do at the property and the beach is your backyard. Thank you to Antonio and staff for such a special week. We will never forget our time in Ofir. We look forward to doing it again. Superb host!!

60th Birthday Trip

I had been talking with the owners for about a year making sure everything was just right to celebrate this occasion. When I say we were stunned with the beauty that we saw, it was breath taking. We were greeted with such a warm welcome. The owners were very accommodating. The one thing will always stay with me is the statement the owner made to me at the end "humanity first"! You were able to feel the sincerity in this statement through out the week. If you are looking for a getaway, in the countryside this is the place. You may want to rent a car. You don't have to but for small runs to the grocery store. We did fine without it. When we wanted to do tours we had arrangements to be picked up from the house.

Schöne Villa mit direktem Strandzugang

Die Unterkunft entspricht den Bildern in der Beschreibung und ist sehr gut ausgestattet (Badetücher, Küchenutensilien, Waschmaschine, Eismaschine usw.). Direkter, privater Zugang zum Meer mit traumhaftem Sonnenuntergang. Schnelle und gute Kommunikation mit dem Verwalter Antonio. Wir können die Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen, danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Amazing place

The whole family loved our week at Antonio ‘s villa we couldn’t of asked for more ! Best take jumpers for the evenings as even in July the evening wind gets cold :)

Luxury and relaxation

Our trip to Antonio’s property was nothing short of amazing. This property is everything we needed, space, beauty, the beach, pool, activities and more all in the wonderful beach town of Fao. Our hosts were helpful and accommodating, spoiling us from the very beginning, assisting with plans and advice as this was our first time to Portugal. The location of the home was wonderful to explore the northern parts of Portugal. We had access to all we needed and enjoyed our time thoroughly. The beach town and local amenities were wonderful! Great restaurants and accommodations. The space was beautiful and comfortable, with lots of space to entertain and to relax for 12 people. The pool was wonderful, off set from the beach enough to be warm! I would recommend a car if you plan to venture away from the local atmosphere, but our hosts assisted with that as well. So wonderful!! We will be back and appreciate everything so much!

Underrated by the photos and facilities.

We enjoyed 2 weeks holiday in August 2019. Villa is fantastic and well equipped. So much so it is not all picked up on the adverts. Loved are stay and all parties involved were nice, accommodating and reasonable in the approach. We had a small accident during our stay and the management defat with this more than reasonably. Lovely location and view to die for, Minor issue with the pool not being warm enough, but don't be afraid to mention and the management will deal with it. All taxis arranged were there and reliable. A great holiday.

More than ever wished for everything was top quality Greeted by Antonio and Christine owners were very helpful Plenty restaurants in walking distance tucked away in little streets. Porto well worth visit beautiful place . Not downfall a week was not enough so at home time flew by. Thank you so much for letting us be guest in your beautiful home by the sea. Amazing. 5* plus. Perfect location for a quiet family holiday

Could not fault our stay. We were 8 adults and 6 children. The villa was beautiful. Plenty of space so you are not on top of each other. Very comfortably accommodates 14 people with numerous bathrooms. Fab pool with enough sunbeds and well maintained gardens. Walking straight out of the back garden onto a stunning sandy beach was a big plus. Would recommend a car to get out to restaurants and a day trip to Porto is well worth it. Our hosts Antonio, Christine and Fernando were very helpful throughout our stay, thank you.

Fantastic villa with a wonderful beach front location.

We have stayed with the family in a number of different villas over the years but this was the best ever, what a fantastic villa with a fantastic beach front location. To wake up every morning to the sound of the sea and to see the wonderful beach and in the evenings to witness the gorgeous sunsets was all amazing. There were 12 of us including the 5 grandchildren (aged 13 to 3) and the villa had acres of space for everyone. How we would have kept all the beers in the buckets and bottles of wine cold without the ice making machine we do not know. The local mini market was handy and we tried a couple of the local restaurants all within walking distance but you need a car to get to the larger supermarkets (beware they are extremely busy in August). We had a drive into Porto which is about 40 mins away and well worth a visit, we even found parking quite easy which is unusual. The only downside was the loud music noise at night coming from the local disco which went on until the early hours. All in all we had a great time in a fantastic villa which I would recommend to everyone.

The property is amazing, great location and perfect for large family holidays!

Overall a great holiday, soured once we got home and a large chunck of our deposit was kept for check out cleaning (no damages etc). Nothing mentioned as we left the property. I would advise understanding the rules around this and automatic deductions prior to check out. We had a 2 year old and a 4 year old who must of ate in the bedroom and left crumbs around the place, we wish it was wild parties ;-)

Fabulous villa in a great location!

The villa is fabulous! It is enormous and extremely well-equipped, - probably one of the best villas we have stayed in. The living areas are large and really comfortable, and the kitchens have everything you could possibly need for a self-catering holiday, - and all good quality. The location is fantastic, - literally seconds from the beach, with amazing views of the sea, - and minutes to bars and restaurants. Fernando was extremely helpful prior to our visit, answering any questions we had, as was Claudia during our stay. We will definitely try to return sometime.

Great Villa

We recently spent a week at this lovely spacious villa with 14 family members including children. It's an ideal venue for family gatherings with great communal areas for eating together inside and out or chilling out in the lounge areas. The downstairs kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we required for cooking in the villa and the crockery, cutlery and glasses were of a high standard. The pool size was great and the pool was heated and clean and the pool areas were well maintained with plenty of seating and sun lounges. The location of the villa was ideal for the beach which was just outside the back gate and the view of the sea/beach from the upstairs bedroom was great. All the bedrooms had a good bed linen and towels. When we have another family gathering we shall all come back to this wonderful villa. PS I would also like to thank Fernando and Luisa for the Birthday Cake and the bottle of Champagne for my 70th Birthday.

Amazing house, great place for a family holiday

This house is amazing, even better than shown in the photographs. The interior has been refreshed with new bedclothes, sunloungers and outside umbrellas. The owners have also erected fencing around the garden surrounding the pool and a barrier to the garage steps which provided extra safety for the 4 small children under 6 in our party. We were a party of 12 and the house provided plenty of room for everyone and included two huge sitting rooms. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable q r upstairs rooms had balconies with amazing views. There were also lots of unexpected additions included such as lots of pantry items, oils, coffee pods, tea bags etc. There were lots of beautiful dishes, glasses and cutlery to use, much better quality than any other holiday home we have rented. The pool was lovely and well heated for the small children. The beach is as described, literally as you step outside the rear gate and is beautiful. The house is very well secured with electric gates and shutters. Fernado the agent was excellent at dealing with my queries prior to booking and helpfully arranged our transfers. Christina the owner and her beautiful daughter met us when we arrived in spite of the late hour (1am) and even returned the next day to personally drive and show us around the area. They were very helpful and went above and beyond what we could have expected. It is a 5 min walk from the house to cafes, a mini market that is very well stocked and a couple of restaurants. It is best to have a car for the supermarket and restaurants further afield although the house was so nice that we were happy to eat in a few nights. We had a brilliant family holiday and this was largely due to this fantastic house in a unique and beautiful location on the beach. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

Literally on the beach! Amazing holiday

We were a private family group - there were 9 of us but only 2 couples and we needed 5 rooms for 5 single people We get together once year - normally at new year - in Portugal which admittedly is my favourite European destination but especially the north (I'm an Algarve convert!) I was tipped off by a business colleague of mine who told me that his friend was going to make this available for private rentals - we were the first clients The house is centrally heated and was nice and cosy and we were lucky with the weather - sunny days around 16 degrees and cool nights around 4-6 The house is better than the pictures - it's not 400m2 - I'm a retired architect - it's more like around 800m2 - it's huge you do actually literally open the back garden gate and your first footstep is on the sand of the beach - the beach is long, wide and very very clean Nearby - literally 3 minutes walk, but far enough away from the house are a selection of beach cafes Further on there are restaurants, bakery and a well stocked grocers store We did a lovely coastal walk for 20 minutes and came to Apulia - my goodness the fish restaurants there were superb and such good value. We are organising a return trip for summer and can highly recommend the place - Antonio the owner checked us in - very nice man and his English was actually very good indeed :-) Bring a jumper at night in the low season - it can be chilly at night
