Blood stains on sheets and towels!
Although the view from the living room is spectacular, and the property manager is responsive, such as having a modem dropped off when the Wi-Fi would not work, there were aspects of this apartment that were completely unacceptable. First, the flat sheet on the master bed had what appeared to be blood stains on one corner, and two of the face towels, the bathmat, and one bath towel appeared to have the same kind of stain or something dark. Second, it was very chilly, and there are only two plug-in radiators for heat, which was not enough to warm the place. We have stayed at a number of European VRBOs that use inverter heaters mounted on the wall, which are much more effective! Next, the bathroom light and fan, which seem to be motion activated with no switch that overrides this, went off every two or three minutes, including when we were trying to take showers. This was supremely frustrating! Additionally, when the toilet would not stop running and the tank would not fill, the property manager said a plumber would come by and we planned our day around that. The plumber never came by, and my husband had to watch a video about how to fix a European toilet, which thankfully, he was able to do ! Finally, we have never before stayed in an apartment where not only did we have to buy laundry liquid and dish liquid, which we understand, but we had to buy a sponge, salt, and oil for cooking as well. Such staples are generally provided. The washing machine did not work anyway, and there were no dish towels either. Until these problems are resolved, we cannot recommend this apartment.
