Wonderful home in beautiful location

Hosts were very gracious and easy to communicate with. Home is large and very lovely. Large patio with beautiful views. Grocery just a few minute walk away. Very happy that we chose to stay here. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing

Casa do João da Eira was hands down the best vacation home experience I've had. Rui met us at check in to greet us and show us the property. It was well-cleaned and everything had been thought of--fresh handsoap in every bathroom, towels, outdoor fireplace prepped, and a bottle of Madeira wine and a bolo de mel cake for us. The property is amazing. It was cozy for just two of us, but would easily accommodate 8 people. The water heater is even tankless, so nobody gets a cold shower. Every floor of the house has a view--the beds in the attic are the only ones you can't see the sunrise from without getting out of bed. The ground floor has the kitchen and a generous living room, as well as a half bathroom. The ground floor terrace has several tables and chairs to use while cooking on the outdoor fireplace--not to mention the gorgeous view. And, yes, you really can see a waterfall through the kitchen window while sitting at the table. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a balcony with an even better view than downstairs...and two cozy chairs and a light to enjoy at any time of day or night. The attic has twin beds and a slightly separated snug area with couch & tv. Rui was incredibly responsive, giving us great restaurant recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. He was very welcoming & friendly, and his daughter, who helped check us in, was as well. The town of Seixal is beautiful and has a beach as well as tidepools to swim in--we were there in January so didn't go swimming, but even then the water was warm. If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing vacation stay, I can't recommend this place enough. We're already hoping to return!

Das Haus ist in einem fabelhaften Zustand. Alles wurde geschmackvoll renoviert. Die Betten waren bequem. Die Zimmer sauber. Rui stand jederzeit mit Rat und schneller Tat zur Verfügung. Man merkte, dass es Rui und seiner Frau sehr wichtig ist, dass die Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Die Lage des Hauses und die Aussicht sind perfekt. Strand, Supermarkt, Restaurants, Bäcker und Café in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Genügend Handtücher und eine super Grundausstattung wie z.B. Gewürze, Öl, Küchenrolle und Spülmaschinentaps gab es auch.Das Grundstück ist gepflegt, die Nachbarschaft war ruhig. Gerne haben wir den Grillplatz genutzt und abends lange draußen gesessen. Danke für diesen schönen Urlaub - und das leckere Brot

Incroyable !!!

Maison avec énormément de charme et de cachet. Au centre du petit village très proche de la plage à pied mais également de petits commerces (supérette et restaurant). La vue à la fois sur la mer et la montagne est incroyable. Hôte disponible et de très bons conseils sur les activités et restaurants. Nous recommandons cette location les yeux fermés.

Superbe logement vue mer avec magnifique terrasse

Logement très propre, calme. La terasse est très grande, sécurisée et permet de profiter de l' extérieur. Ideal avec des enfants. La plage de sable noir est très proche. N oubliez pas de profiter de la piscine naturelle de seixal.

Fantastisch uitzicht

Leuk dorpje om een paar dagen te vertoeven. Huisje is ok, zou iets schoner mogen. Tuin is fantastisch met werkelijk fantastisch uitzicht. Heel vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangst.

Familienurlaub

Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und bietet viel Platz,wir waren sechs Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind. Herrliche Aussicht von der Terrasse und dem kleinen Garten. Es gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt wenige Meter unterhalb an der Straße,in dem man morgens frische Brötchen kaufen kann und auch alle Grundnahrungsmittel bekommt. Der kleine Strand ist gut fußläufig erreichbar. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen!

Wonderful house and location

Rui's house is very clean, cosy and well equipped. The view from the terrace is amazing. Location is close to the beach, perfect for the children and in a very quiet village. We had a great stay.

Traumhaus in Seixal

Das Haus ist super ausgestattet für 8 Personen. Alles was wir brauchten war da. Viel Platz, geräumige Zimmer, gut ausgestattete Küche, eine tolle geschützte Terrasse mit Grillplatz, Blick auf Atlantik und Gebirge. Supermarkt und Cafe 50 Meter, geschützter Sandstrand 200 Meter entfernt. Seixal ist wohl einer der schönsten Orte für Individualreisen auf Madeira. Keine Partylocation, aber ruhiger Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und Wanderungen auf der ganzen Insel. Freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter und DorfbewohnerInnen. Die Busverbindungen sind eher selten, aber mit Mietauto oder (relativ preiswerten) Taxis ist trotzdem fast alles zu entdecken. Absolut empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank

Wonderful!

Its is a beautiful old house that has all the modern comforts. The kitchen is very well stocked with more than you need to cook a meal for many people. The village is lovely and not touristy. I definitely recommend the house!

Familienurlaub in Seixal

Das Haus ist einfach toll,genauso wie im Inserat beschrieben. Die Kommunikation und der Empfang vor Ort waren auch sehr gut und völlig problemlos. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen,durchs Haus geführt und alles wurde ausreichend erklärt. Außerdem standen Obst,eine Strelitzie,typische,madeirensische Köstlichkeiten und sogar Brot,um das ich vorher gebeten hatte,bereit. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt! Ansonsten mangelte es auch an überhaupt nichts,ausreichend Handtücher,die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben eine wunderbare Zeit gehabt und jeden Tag aufs Neue den wunderschönen Ausblick genossen!

Formidable maison dans un village typique

La maison de Rui est superbe en tous points : équipements, propreté, emplacement, jardin, vues mer et montagne. Le plus : un barbecue, cuisine d'extérieur et terrasse couverte pour l'ombre (et la pluie s'il en tombe). Le village de Seixal est authentique à l'écart des destinations trop touristiques, entouré de vignes (dont on produit un petit vin local charmant), la plage de sable naturel est protégée, magnifique et offre une vue et une mer à couper le souffle. A proximité immédiate, des lieux magiques, tel le Chao da Ribeira. Le nord de l'île n'est distant de Funchal que d'une heure : tout est donc possible. Séjour merveilleux !
