Welcome to Waterfront @ Ryedale House - A high quality 1 bedroom apartment with a dramatic riverside setting.

Ryedale House is an exclusive, private development in the heart of York's historic core beside the River Foss. The building benefits from secure allocated parking for one car. Waterfront sits on the 2nd floor and offers a superb view over river.

Upon entering the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area for the first time you will be immediately struck by the amazing amount of natural light coming into the apartment from the floor to ceiling windows along with enjoying the wonderful river view. The property occupies a corner position on the building which aids this.

The kitchen area has been designed to the highest standards and features premium Neff appliances throughout.

The dining area can seat 4 for dinner and backs onto the stylish living area with comfortable seating and large LCD TV. There is also a high quality sofa bed that can accommodate the occasional extra guest. The high quality wooden floors throughout the apartment also have the added benefit of underfloor heating.

The master bedroom features a double bed, wardrobe and dressing table.The bedroom also benefits from having USB sockets near the bed and high quality carpet.

The bathroom is fully tiled and has a walk in shower and Villeroy & Boch bathroom fixtures.

The apartment also has the added benefit of an allocated, secure car park space onsite.

A gem in the heart of york

An absolutely perfect stay! The riverside location is stunning and incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Clean, well-situated, and easily the best place we’ve stayed in York. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed the location very much

Found this flat bit more grubby than i expected, paint work around skirtings needed redone, grout in shower looking a bit black. Found welcome pack minimal. Nice vase of fresh flowers would have been welcome. Location perfect to walk into town and really quiet, view from windows of water and wild life very relaxing. Last time stayed in two bedroom in same property and it was really wow factor…..this particular apartment needs to get that.

A Short Stroll

Very convenient location with parking! Apartment was of a high standard with all you need for a short/long stay! Felt very secure! York is a great city with so much to do - all on your doorstop from this apartment. Shower could do with a shelf to put your shampoos etc! Everyrhing was clean and well looked after - would book again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful apartment, amazing location and views

What a fabulous stay we enjoyed last weekend in Waterfront @ Ryedale House.The apartment is in a brilliant location in the heart of the city and yet really lovely and quiet. Being on the river is lovely - perfect views make for a very relaxing break. We spotted a heron, Canadian geese and a kingfisher from the lovely big windows. Various reviews have mentioned the shower soaking the floor - it does get a little wet but dries in no time due to the underfloor heating, and the shower itself is brilliant. The apartment is beautifully decorated, really clean and well looked after. The secure parking is a massive asset. I can highly recommend a stay at Waterfront and we hope to visit again soon, thank you.

A lovely location on the river Foss

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in a flat that looks over the river into the walls of the Castle Museum. Very light, bright and modern. Some elements were extremely tired like the coffee table but it would seem that some residents had abused the privilege of staying there. Excellent shopping in York overall and M&S Food is 5 minutes walk as is the Shambles. Tesco Local even closer. A little tricky to find but parked in the Coppergate, found it on foot then parked in our own space behind the apartment blocks sliding door in our own parking area. Satnav was at fault. No air con but two big fans helped our very good weather. Underfloor heating for colder days. Fairly noisy vicinity but not bothersome to us.

Short stays in york

Arrived at the location, the building is between hampton and travelodge not next to the holiday inn. The receptionist was lovely and helpful. The whole property is clean, from the entrance to the room. The apartment was easy to find and when we got in, we were suprised to see how beautiful the apartment was. Parking could be a bit easier, with better bay signage, but a very secure parking lot with electric gate. Residents who live in the building were friendly. Location was a 5 minute walk to the city centre and the shambles. Convenience stores are also.located in a short distance. In whole a fab stay and will definitely stay again.

Nice apartment

The place is very nice About the only issue we had was the extremely small bathroom sink and the fact that the mirror is not above the sink. Makes it difficult to shave or wash your face. Looking at the book on the dining table all the apartments in the building are like this. Other than that a fantastic Apt in a great Location. Very clean.

Great place & location!

Perfect place and location. The apartment was very clean and lovely set out. It perfect for two people. Lovely view over the canal. So easy to get in and out of apartment and gate for car. But all secure too. Felt very safe here as we not done this before, Alway done hotels. You have your own privacy here and come and go as you like. Great location. Just over the bridge and your in the heart of the city. So near to everything. We also drive to places for day trips which again near by like Scarborough etc. and it nice to know to come Back and you have a car park space. So no worries at all. Definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Less than wonderful

Very corporate housing, much smaller than depicted in photos, difficult to find since no street address given.. underfloor heating runs all the time so apartment very hot and no adequate window coverings on direct western side. Wouldn’t bother with this one again.

Nice Apartment in an Excellent Location

A nice contemporary apartment in an excellent location in the city centre and next to the river Foss. An additional bonus was having a gated parking space at the rear and easy access to the apartment. There were a couple design issues which were irritating, such as the sink in the shower room being small so that you had to be careful not to hit your head on the wall when washing, and having to use a case to hold open the outside door to get some ventilation. Our main issues were that having arrived on a Sunday, the TV not working properly as the set top box had been removed and the TV had not been reset, requiring someone to come out on the Tuesday to reset it, and the sink plug in the kitchen sink not stopping water running out. There was nothing in the welcome pack to tell us that there was a hidden cabinet behind the flush fitting mirror in the shower room housing a spare toilet roll until it was discovered by the person coming to fix the TV (and bringing a bowl for the kitchen sink). The mirror was above the toilet and not above the sink on another wall. Despite these things, the people from Stays were helpful. The fittings in the apartment were of high quality and we would consider staying again.

Parking and position good, standards could be higher as per suggestions.

The apartment was in a good position to explore York with excellent parking facilities. The apartment itself was adequate but to give some constructive criticism we would suggest the following:- Wine glasses and tea mugs were not clean, benefit from a shelf in the shower room for toiletries, etc, a spare toilet roll, a voile curtain in the bedroom as in the main living area for privacy. Having said all of the above we enjoyed our stay but feel that the rate was a little expensive for the standard of accommodation.

Nice clean modern apartment in York center.

Nice modern apartment in central area of York. Very convenient for shops, restaurants and theatres as well as transport links. Gated parking excellent as I was able to leave my car without any concerns for the entirety of my stay. Had a problem with the shower, quick response from Stays York staff and issue was rectified by the on call plumber.

5-STAR SERVICE-COMFORT-LOCATION

We visit York about every 2 months, and have stayed in many places. But, after too many inconveniences with the quality, and/or safety, and/or services of other locations, we are extremely satisfied with the Stays at York offering. This flat's location is perfect. Within the city walls, but also in the heart of the town center, on a major street. Since the flat faces the river, there is absolutely no noise, with the added benefit of an awesome view of the river and the Castle. Very safe street and access to building. Nice parking (where in York it depends on availability of public parking, very busy depending on the time of the year). The furniture is new high-end, modern and comfortable (sofa, bed, dinning room and kitchen). TV & Wifi, and Netflix services available. Impecable cleaning. The restaurants nearby are close, excellent and very well priced.
