The cabin is just beautiful and all the amenities were in good working order. The host was very responsive and he made the stay very comfortable. I will certainly consider booking this gem again in the future.

Cabin was clean and just what we were looking for. The bed in the bedroom on the main floor was extremely hard. Did have to look for chairs to sit outside on the deck and near the fire pit but finally did find enough in the basement.

This was a great property with good proximity to Penn State for a football weekend. Water was odorous as warned so we brought our own and the beds were slightly firmer than we are used to. Otherwise this was a great setup for family to gather!

Penn State Weekend

Cabin stay for whiteout game

Excellent place to stay for the whiteout game! We loved the cabin and would come back. Loved how quiet the location was, as well as how easy it was to see the stars. Perfect place for our weekend.

Loved JC’s Lodge!

The AFrame style log cabin’s location is convenient to University Park, yet removed from the crowds. Great layout to hang with the family inside and out, with beautiful views. Wonderful, detailed communication from the host. First experience with well water and stay ouside of campus, but we brought bottled water and there was also a brita water pitcher. We would love to return to this location for our next visit if available.

Great place - getaway for a PSU weekend!

Perfect cabin location, close enough to be near PSU but far enough to not be caught up in the craziness. House is clean, comfortable and perfect for a family and friends weekend!

Perfect getaway

This 2 BR, 2 BA cabin is clean, quiet, spacious, and private. Plenty of room for 2 of us but could easily fit more. Less than 20 minutes’ drive to Penn State’s campus, making it the perfect blend of convenient yet private. The only issue—mentioned in other reviews—is the slight sulfur smell in the water (sink and shower). Other than that, this place is a gem!

Great location!

A great location for visiting State College. It’s a beautiful setting about 20 min from PSU. A fine alternative to a hotel for a game weekend.

We went for the weekend to visit our son at Penn State. Short drive from cabin to campus, 20 minutes. Very clean. Would stay again. The only negative was the water but we were warned and brought our own

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this nice and cozy cabin. Great porch to relax on, comfy beds. Water was definitely a little smelly, but based on other reviews we took our own water. The upstairs bedroom closet had quite a bit of mouse poop in it, but I’m sure we were one of the first families to visit this year. It’s very close to Penn State and Bellefonte, which was nice since we went to both. Overall, we would stay here again.

Great place and beautiful location.

This is a wonderful house on a beautiful piece of property. 15 minutes from Penn State. Great layout for a crowd. Remember to bring you own sheets and bath towels.

Perfect Rental

Great place to stay. Very clean, stocked with kitchen essentials. Cozy, comfortable, owner very responsive and attententive to our questions/needs. Great location. Would highly recommend, will look to book again in the future.

Great Hideaway

We stayed for a wedding and it was in a perfect location! The place was beautiful/clean inside and out. We did listen to previous reviews and recommendations from the host on the well water and to bring your own. It worked out perfectly! Definitely will stay again!

Loved the cabin!

Beautiful cabin the middle of the woods. Such a pretty spot. Cabin is really nice inside, beds were great, large and stacked kitchen. Perfect spot to be near Penn State!

Penn state weekend

Cabin met our needs. About 20 minutes or so to get to stadium with no traffic to worry about! Upstairs bedroom a little warm at night, and definitely a sulfur smell to water, but that was disclosed in the description so we were prepared for that. Worked out great for us!
