Escape to this unique and relaxing A-frame cabin, nestled in a secluded spot while still being close to all the action! Whether you're in town for a Penn State football game, graduation, arts festivals, or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, this cabin is the perfect retreat.

Located just 15 minutes from Penn State University, you'll have easy access to campus events, while also being able to unwind in a peaceful setting. Enjoy nearby outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, and water fun at Colyer Lake (just 4 minutes away). Or, hit the slopes at Tussey Mountain, only 11 minutes from the cabin. You’ll also be close to the Grange Fairgrounds (12 minutes) and Penns Cave (20 minutes) for even more entertainment.

For those who love local flavors, the area offers a variety of wineries and breweries to explore. After a day of adventure, come back to your cozy A-frame and relax in comfort.

Whether you're here for a special occasion or just need a quiet retreat, this cabin offers the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience.

The A-frame is furnished with 1 queen bed in the downstairs bedroom, 2 single beds in the upstairs loft (accessible by steep steps), and a queen pull-out sofa in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with an electric range, oven, refrigerator, pots & pans, place settings for 6, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave.

Linens and towels are provided.

Guests will have full access to the chalet, which includes a stand-up shower, toilet, sink, and both hand and bath towels. The master bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed, a small closet, and a chest of drawers, along with sheets and blankets. The two single beds are located in the upper loft, which has steep steps for access, a closet, and a screened-in back porch.

The living room features a Smart Roku TV (you can log in to your streaming services like Netflix, Roku, Peacock, etc.), an AM/FM stereo, a record player (with records stored in the cabinet under the TV), a queen sofa bed, a comfy chair, and two thermostat-controlled wall propane heaters.

Parking is available in front of the chalet, and there’s an outdoor fire pit for enjoying the evenings.

Nice place but could use some improvements

In general this is a nice place for the price. Proximity to Penn State is why we picked it and that is spot on. Loved the remoteness and this would be a great stay in milder weather months!We were staying with our grandkids ages 7 and 5. The stairs to the loft really need lighting improvement! Unless you turn on all the lights in the living area can’t see safely.Limited availability in cookware - needed a frying pan and couldn’t find one. Microwave is dangerously placed on top of refrigerator.We would consider coming back without kiddos.

Tournament Weekend

We had a basketball tournament at Penn State and the location of this cabin was perfect. It was extremely clean, attractive, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice little cabin in the woods

Overall a great option for visiting Penn State. Dated but very clean. Secluded and very quiet - didn’t want to get out of bed because it was so peaceful and comfortable. Record player with lots of records was a fun surprise. TV is very small and far from seating so if watching TV is important to you this is probably not the cabin for you. Bathroom was basic. Shower is tiny and water pressure on the light side. Towels were thick and soft.

Fantastic stay in a cute cabin near Penn State

My husband and I are were looking for a place to stay in the Penn State area that was not our usual hotel room when we found this cabin. And we are so glad we did. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.There were games and movies available if we got bored.The cabin is set in a quiet area with lots of trees and few neighbors.I had questions about certain things and Sean was so fast in responding! Never had a host reply so quickly before.Quite easy to find also! Thank you Sean for a great Blue/ White weekend! We Are!

Comfortable, quiet & clean

We slept so well. The beds were comfortable and the temperature could easily be adjusted with the heating units. The location was private, quiet and serene; the chalet is beautiful. I appreciated the nice fresh towels, coffeemaker, and hair dryer. You also won’t find ridiculous rules and checkout procedures for this rental. Take out the trash, turn everything off and leave the keys!

Weekend at PSU

My family stayed here for parents weekend. It was very clean and comfortable. Few miles from campus which makes it the perfect get away from the busy atmosphere and enjoy being with family. Very quiet and relaxing weekend for us.

Great cabin

Lovely cabin in a peaceful setting. Perfect area for hiking and biking in Rothrock state forest. It was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and Clean

We needed a place to stay for a wedding and were only there for 2 nights. I was extremely happy I found this place (vs staying at a hotel)! Husband and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. The house was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very cozy! I have no complaints at all!

Everything we could have asked for. I grew up going to a family friends hunting cabin and the A frame gave me good memories of my time there. 20 mins to beaver stadium on gameday an added bonus. Great weekend at State!

Great little Cabin!

I wanna first start off by saying Sean was amazing! Great with staying on top of communication If I had a question he was quick to respond. The Cabin was super clean and welcoming! Everything you need is inside its in a woody and quite area so you have your privacy. My stay was amazing I LOVED this place and would 100% come back again!

Relaxing Retreat

We enjoyed relaxing in this classic A-frame chalet in a rustic setting proximate to State College. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, the bathroom updated, and comfortable places to sit and talk or read both indoors and out - including a wonderful screened porch off the second story overlooking the back woods. The host was very responsive, the quarters were clean, and we had no issues with anything. It was a great place to relax yet be close enough to State College amenities to easily take advantage of them.

Great Spot in Centre County!

My son and I were in town for the PSU vs. OSU and the location worked out great! It is about 25 minutes from Beaver Stadium and downtown State College. The house was in a quiet peaceful setting and everything was set up nicely! The host's instructions and check-in information were excellent. Thank you Sean!

Perfect Game Weekend location!
