Dear Maria, Thank you for choosing our home to spend your vacations and we appreciate your time to write a review. To be honest, we were somewhat surprised to read your review; we feel there is a discrepancy between our written communication and the final rating. During your stay, you repeatedly expressed how much you and your family loved our home. You also showed gratitude towards our cleaning team when they came to perform their services. We regularly checked in with you and arranged an early check-in and late check-out when you requested it. In regard to our décor, we pride ourselves on offering one of the only authentic and traditionally restored farmhouses in Sporades islands. The home underwent a massive restoration project to transform the building into a stylish home with all modern amenities (Smart TV, AC, 4K monitor, sound system, fully equipped kitchen, memory foam mattresses, home gym setup, etc.) and at the same time, we focused in the conservation of its cultural value, converting it to a time machine into the local history. Ciao Luciana, Grazie per avere trovato il tempo per fare la tua recensione. Siamo rimasti sorpresi dalle tue considerazioni e ti spieghiamo il perchè. L'ampia documentazione fotografica della casa, peraltro fedelissima alla realtà, del suo interno e del giardino, non lascia dubbi che si tratti di una casa di campagna ristrutturata, sottolineata nella prima frase della descrizione (in inglese Villa kalimera is a traditional private 'kalivi' (Greek country house). Come tale, è arredata con oggetti che fanno parte della tradizione delle abitazioni della campagna greca che la nostra famiglia ha raccolto per anni. Le foto mostrano chiaramente, oltre all'arredamento, la disposizione di tutti i vani della casa, cucina e salone, camere da letto, soppalchi (LOFT nella descrizione), bagni e loro dimensioni e letti matrimoniali. NESSUN MATERASSO PER TERRA, come è stato falsamente scritto. La persona che vi ha ricevuto al porto (che si occupa anche della manutenzione) che alcune volte, quando non ci siamo, accompagna i nostri ospiti, è un Signore del quale ci è sempre stata segnalata la gentilezza e la sua disponibilità. Anche nel vostro caso, dopo avervi portato a casa, vi ha aspettato e si è reso disponibile per accompagnarvi al supermercato più fornito dell'isola. Per quanto riguarda le informazioni turistiche e la preparazione pre-arrival, ci eravamo messi noi a vostra disposizione e nei contatti, che abbiamo avuto, prima e durante la vostra permanenza, non ci avete mai consultato o chiesto nulla in proposito. Sicuramente avrai notato che la rete stradale dell'isola non è eccellente, ma tutti dicono che ci fanno la mano e non ne fanno un problema. Dear Tom, Thank you for reviewing your experience, we truly appreciate your time. We are sorry to hear that your holidays have not lived up to your expectations. All our guests experience to our Country Villa the tranquility and peace of a safe and cozy, modern - yet traditional Mediterranean - environment. Indeed, we take into consideration everybody’s opinion and study every single recommendation. However, we were deeply surprised by your contribution, we feel your review is quite unfair and inaccurate, so we’d like to address it in the same order as you did because your observations may be misleading. During your stay you contact us since day 1 for some observations (pillow, mattress, humidity due to rain, dog). Everybody in our team assist you right away, gave you options and offering you proactive solutions. After taking care by a matter of a day every request, you requested refund to pay another hotel. Worldwide policies for villas rental regarding early departures do not receive refund (if a risk of safety doesn’t exist). Exceptions are made, that is why I offered you a partial refund, which you denied. Dog barking: During your stay the closest villa located 150 meters from ours, wasn’t occupied. So it couldn’t be next door, nor from both sides, it must have been a villa far away. I asked you to describe me the villa where the dog is in order to contact the owner and settle the issue. You didn’t respond. Water was cut all over the island of Skopelos for a few hours (not two days) because of heavy rain. Noises: The description and pictures are absolutely accurate. The road is a secondary mountain road and it is not very frequented. From our personal experience, at its pick, no more than 3-4 vehicles pass per hour. Sometimes the noisy can be noticeable because of the general tranquility of the surroundings. However, it is totally deceiving to talk about traffic. The pre-arrival, during the stay and post-stay assistance is an important part of our goal to offer a unique, personalized customer experience in which every guest feels comfortable, relaxed, cared and in the right state of mind to enjoy the beauty of the villa and its surroundings. In spite of feeling that your review is unfair (which punishes us severely), we value your criticism, we take it positively and will put into place the right measures to avoid similar issues in the future.
