Pefkias is a place to truly relax. “For peace, privacy and postcard-worthy views in a great location, Pefkias is - quite simply - perfect.”
Here and there you'll see old stone villas and hushed holiday homes peeking out among pine trees, olive groves and fruit trees. Naturally, the views here are superb. Look down to the wooded valleys and out to a sea that sparkles alluringly in the distance. If you're a fan of walking and hiking, you'll be in your element here. Pick a path down to the beaches of Limnonari and Agnondas. It'll take about an hour on foot but the sight that greets you is prize enough, with velvety sand giving way to warm crystal waters.
And even if you don't want to wonder that far, whichever direction you head in you'll come across bubbling springs and dinky chapels hiding in the hills. With its beautiful scenery and laid-back vibe.

A lovely stay

A lovely villa and lovely pool. Dimitris answered every text quickly and resolved every issue we had promptly. We had a wonderful stay. It really is a beautiful spot with comfortable beds and everything you need for a really relaxing time.

Everything we wanted and expected

A truly enjoyable time spent as a family in this wonderful location and villa that has as much as you need to get away from everything whilst enjoy the nearby town and beaches. Views are stunning, the terrace with its pool are relaxing and with Dimitris a very helpful host and contact. Thank you and we will hope to be back very soon

A fabulous house set high above a stunning town, beautiful views across the bay and beyond. Simple, rustic, clean, fab beds and steaming hot water. Everything you need. Very Mrs Durrell ! The owner is amazing, on hand to answer any questions, organised a hire car and was totally reliable. A magical healing place full of peaceful wonder. Stunning xx

The best vacation on the best Villa!

Finding Villa Arktos and his owner Dimitris has been the best thing of our vacation! I can suggest Villa Skopelos to everybody: - perfect location: in 10 min by car you can reach the nearest city and actually by car you can easily go everywhere in the island! - perfect house: very well furnished and completely equipped. Swimmingpool to relax and a patio where you can have your meals. All is very clean and well done. Fantastic view!!! - perfect owner: Dimitri helped us in all our vacation steps, from when we arrived on the island trough all the week. He called us two times just to know if everything was ok and he was ready to solve every problems! If I'll come back in Skopelos I'll come back in this Villa for sure!

Idyllic location on idyllic island of Skopelos

We LOVED our stay on Skopelos! If you're looking for a picture perfect villa complete with a beautiful swimming pool and four lounge chairs, with a view of the Skopelos harbor within a 10-15 minute drive of the town, you found your place. The queen sized beds in the first floor bedrooms with a/c units were very comfortable and the quilts beautiful. The small loft bedroom up a steep step of moveable stairs above the washing machine - also had a comfortable bed but no a/c, just a fan so a bit warm.The kitchen had some basic supplies and we did figure out how to use the stove but never did figure out how to use the oven. The well-equipped kitchen had a toaster, electric tea kettle. Assisted by google translate, we used the washer and and dried our clothing on the two drying racks with clothespins. Dimitris had a friend who escorted us to the house via moped - which was very helpful as we would have had difficulty finding the villa otherwise, and he also arranged our car rental. Dimitris was a wonderful host, super communicative. Note: driving up to the villa is an adventure, especially with a stick shift car and aggressive Greek drivers. We always returned before dark to be safe and had some trouble parking in the half paved area near the villa with the lack of traction and steepness. We continue to debate whether we'd just stay in the outskirts of the harbour town next time to avoid having to drive at all on Skopelos as much as we loved the villa.

Wow, what a place!

We were bowled over! The view was stunning from high up on the hills looking down onto Skopelos at night as the town slowly lit up. And you could do this from in the pool too - fabulous. The main 2 bedrooms were a good size with aircon. The living area was small, but plenty big enough, with good kitchen facilities all presented in a rustic fashion. It was very charming. For nature lovers, lots to see. A fantastic view across the narrow valley where you could see buzzards perched in a Cedar or Cypress tree. There was not a night where i didnt see an Elenora's falcon flying over head, on one occasion very low, on another occasion 8+ zipping about trying to catch things on the wing, and all this with the sounds of Scops Owls nearby. As darkness descended, the falcons left but bats started zipping over the pool for a drink. One night we got in the pool (staying in a corner) with the pool light on and watched them dive down for a drink. There were lots of interesting insects too but fortunately very few wasps (July 10th). Dimitris arranged for a friend to escort us from the ferry to the house, which removes one minor anxiety in the journey and he made himself available for the whole 10 days for if we needed advice or had any problems. All in all, great place and great service! Completely 100% recommend.

Einsam gelegenes Landhaus mit weitem Blick über die Landschaft bis zum Hafen von Skopelos. Es hat den gewachsenen Charme eines Privathauses, nicht perfekt, was der Atmosphäre keineswegs einen Abbruch tut.Wir haben die meiste Zeit Draußen verbracht und den Pool genossen. Es geht ein leichter Wind mit Kiefernduft und auch sonst ist man in der Natur. Nachbarn bekommt man kaum mit.Zum Einkaufen und für Restaurants und Shops ist man schnell mit einem Fahrzeug in der Stadt. Ein Fahrzeug lohnt sich eh, um die Insel zu erkunden.Das Haus besteht aus einem zentralen Wohnzimmer mit Küche; 2 Schlafzimmern mit Klimaanlage mit je einem Bad und kräftiger Dusche. Das obere Schlafzimmer ist klein und gemütlich mit Ventilator. Alle Fester sind mit Moskitonetzen.Die Küche ist für Kochen und Essen voll ausgestattet; zusätzlich gibt es einen Grill. Es gibt ausreichend Handtücher und Bettwäsche; circa zweimal in der Woche kommt jemand und schaut nach dem Pool und tauscht bei Bedarf Bettzeug und Handtücher.Die Technik ist ebenfalls sehr positiv zu erwähnen: WLAN, großer Kühlschrank, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine und die bereits genannten Klimaanlagen. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist die Erreichbarkeit des sehr netten Vermieters, der sich freundlich und sofort um mögliche Probleme kümmert.Wir hoffen sehr, dass wir diesen wunderbaren Ort Wiedersehen werden. Perfect stay on Skopelos

From the moment we booked the villa, I knew we were in safe hands with Dimitris as he contacted me with all the information we'd need for a great stay. The villa itself is gorgeous, olde-worlde charm but equipped with everything you need - WiFi, cooking stuff, TVs. The pool is immaculate and it's a real treat to just float about gazing down the valley at Skopelos harbour. And Skopelos is a fantastic island. A new favourite part of Greece! Can't wait to return!

Perfect stay

Cannot recommend a stay at this property enough. Exceeded our expectations. Perfect location, quiet but near to town and close to the wonderful beaches. We’ve fallen in love with Skopelos.The villa had everything we needed and more and great for a holiday with teenagers as there was ample space for all and WiFi. Pool was perfect. Also check in could not have been better, very smooth and quick and from arriving at the port we were greeted, given our hire car and escorted to the villa in no time. Thank you Dimitris for a wonderful stay, you are a great host and we very much hope to return.

A lovely villa

This villa is perfect. It has a rustic feel but it is immaculate, has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. It is secluded, surrounded in pine trees and has an amazing view of Skopelos town and port below. It's a beautiful island - perfect if you want a true Greek island experience. Everything we wanted to visit seemed to be just a short drive away. Dimitris is fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. He gave us really helpful travel advice before the holiday, and despite being away himself during our stay, he had colleagues on hand to solve any problems instantly. We were met at the port and taken directly to the villa which was wonderfully stress free. Dimitris messaged occasionally just to check everything was ok. We even managed to lock ourselves out of the villa and he was immediately on hand to send a friend around to help. Thank-you so much Dimitris for a lovely holiday. We hope to return one day and meet you in person next time. :)

Traumhaft schön!

Wir haben 7 Nächte in dem wunderschönen Haus von Dimitri verbracht. Das Haus ist rustikal aber sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet, es gibt genügend Geschirr, einen Geschirrspüler, Herd mit Backofen sowie einen großen Kühlschrank. Die 3 Doppelbetten aufgeteilt auf 2 Schlafzimmer + eine Schlafgelegenheit im Dachspitz (sehr gemütlich) sind mit auffallend bequemen Matratzen ausgestattet. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen! Die Fenster in den Schlafzimmern sowie in der Küche haben Mückengitter, auch das war sehr angenehmen. Die möblierte Terrasse sowie der tolle Pool mit Waldblick runden das perfekte Urlaubserlebnis ab. Dimitri war vor und während unseres Aufenthalts immer ansprechbar und hat unsere Fragen sehr schnell beantwortet. Wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt wunderbar entspannende Tage auf Skopelos verbracht. Danke schön für die tolle Zeit!

The house was rustic but well maintained with the most wonderful views. The smell in the mornings of the pine forest we were nestled in was amazing too. The house is a great location for a relaxing stay on Skopelos. Lastly Dimitris was unbelievably quick at responding to us every time we messaged him. There was an issue with wasps outside and before we knew it a trap had been laid which pretty much solved the problem. Highly recommend!

Lovely, traditional style villa in the hills above Skopelos Town.

We have just spent a lovely couple of weeks staying at Villa Arktos in Skopelos. The villa is set in a beautiful, tranquil location with views across the valley to the distant hills and further views down the valley to Skopelos town and out to sea. We could sit around the pool and look down the valley to watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour in the distance. The pool was very clean and a great respite from the heat, regularly used by our teenage children. The house was spotless on our arrival and was cleaned every three days. Sheets and towels were also changed every three days. Dimitris, the owner, was fantastic and on hand by text or e-mail to immediately deal with any queries or questions we had. He also helped us to book our ferry to the island and our car. His colleague met us at the port side to take us to our car and took us directly to the property. They could not have done more for us. The island itself is very green and unspoilt. We enjoyed visiting the numerous, beautiful beaches, with lovely warm, clear water. It was great to wander around the old town in Skopelos and browse the shops selling pottery, jewellery, clothes and food. Our children enjoyed the delicious ice cream and baklava served in the tavernas along the harbour side. Overall we felt that the island had a lovely atmosphere and the locals were friendly and welcoming.

A really nice quiet place with great views!

We were travelling with my brother and 2 cousins. The villa was perfect with 2 bedrooms and a loft, all well maintained. We rented a car which the owner Dimitris arranged for us so it was a short drive to town but very convenient still. Dimitris was great, very friendly and helpful. He arranged to have someone meet us right off the ferry and escort our car to the property. There were some fires on the island the day after we arrived and Dimitris called to let us know we were safe where we were and he would let us know if that changed. A very good experience overall and we would recommend for sure!

Es war wunderbar!

Wir waren eine Woche Gäste in der Villa Arktos. Im Vorfeld auf unseren Urlaub, war uns Dimitris stets behilflich und in allen organisatorischen Fragen! Das Haus hat uns gut gefallen, für uns, zwei Ehepaare, war genug Privatsphäre gegeben, denn jedes Schlafzimmer besitzt sein eigenes Badezimmer. Die Wohnküche war ebenfalls gut ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts. Eines der Schlafzimmerfenster hatte kein Fliegengitter, dies wurde umgehend nachgerüstet. Wir reisen sehr viel, besonders gern auf diese Art, in einem privaten Haus und während unseres Aufenthaltes hat Dimitris auch nachgefragt, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist, dies ist nicht so selbstverständlich. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf Skopelos Stadt und das Meer. Die Ruhe ist einfach himmlisch gewesen. Die Insel Skopelos ist wahrlich ein Geheimtip, üppig grün, tolle Strände, wo man sich nicht mit Menschenmassen auseinander setzen muss. Ende September hätten wir auch diese oder jene kleine Bucht für uns haben können. Es gibt sehr nette Restaurants, wobei das Agnanti in Glossa unser Favorit war. Überall wird man zuvorkommend bedient, die Menschen auf Skopelos sind überaus freundlich. Wir sind froh, dass wir es gewagt haben, den doch nicht so direkten Weg der Anreise in Kauf genommen zu haben, um auf die Insel zu kommen, ansonsten wäre uns dieses kleine griechische Juwel verborgen geblieben und dies wäre aus heutiger Sicht sehr schade gewesen! Wir können die Villa nur empfehlen und wünschen Dimitris alles Gute und möge er seine Gäste weiterhin so zuvorkommend und hilfreich willkommen heißen. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ Silvia

Fabulous, secluded villa with amazing views - a great place to stay!

We have just returned from a two week holiday spent at this villa and I would really recommend it. We are a family of five and there was plenty of room for us all. The pool is lovely with fantastic views, but if you want to venture further afield there are some lovely beaches and coves just a short drive away. We went out most nights to Skopelos town (a 10 minute drive away) where there are many bars and restaurants, but the villa is very well equipped if you choose to eat in instead and sit back and enjoy the view! Dimitris is a truly great host. He answers any emails/messages really quickly and is so helpful. If this villa is available when you want to visit Skopelos - book it!

Lovely relaxing stay, very helpful owner.

We had a lovely relaxing time at the villa. It is truly secluded and just what we needed. Skopelos is a lovely island and everything was a short drive from the villa. The town and our favourite beach (panormos) were a speedy 10 minutes away. Glossa is 20-30min away with a myriad of beaches stretching in between. Dimitris was a great host, always available to help and swiftly replying to our messages. When we got there, there was a bit too many bees for our taste (we were to be fair in the middle of the woods) but dimitris quickly accomodated us and sent someone to set traps. After which there was much less bees. I highly recommend this villa for families, couples and friends looking to get away from the husstle and bustle. The villa is surrounded by trees and the night sky is beautiful. Small tips: we rented a car for our stay and there is no need for a gps. The roads are well sign posted and if you have a smart phone it's easy to figure destinations out. Taverna fottinis is a 10 minute walk away which we visited in the middle of a very uncharacteristic storm. Despite being the only guests madame fottinis took us in and gave us towels to dry up :) Also if you look across to the neighbouring hill at night there's a funny little surprise which entertained us a lot. Finally the villa is very well appointed and the pillows are very comfortable. All and all a lovely stay.

Sehr schöne und ruhige Villa

Die Villa mit einem eigenen Pool ist sehr hübsch und wenn man ein wenig abseits von den Menschenmengen sein möchte, ist dies der perfekte Ort um zu entspannen. Besonders angenehm ist es, wenn man am Abend draussen sitzen kann und die angenehmen Temparaturen geniessen kann. Die Ausstattung enthält alles was man braucht, von Liegestühlen über Frottetücher für den Pool und drinnen, Geschirr usw. Der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend und macht alles in seiner Macht um den Aufenthalt möglichst angenehm zu gestalten. Wenn Probleme auftreten, werden gleich Lösungen angeboten. Für all dies hätte diese Villa ohne Probleme 5 Sterne erhalten. Jedoch ist die Zufahrt langsam in einem bedenklichen Zustand. Das die 100 Meter Strasse zum Haus nicht ausgebaut wurde stellt kein Problem dar, doch an einer steilen Stelle hat es viel lockere Erde und grosse Steine und da mussten wir uns jedes Mal Sorgen machen, dass es unser Auto nicht mehr schafft (mit grösseren/stärkeren Fahrzeugen bestimmt kein Problem). Es hat doch jedes Mal geklappt, doch an dieser Stelle muss unbedingt was gemacht werden. Zudem sehen staubige und kaputte Lampenschirme neben dem Bett nicht sehr hübsch aus. Ein zweiter Hausschlüssel währe auch Toll, v.a. wenn man zu viert unterwegs ist oder wenn man aus versehen einen Schlüssel im Haus lässt und die Türe ins Schloss fällt (sie schliesst sich automatisch). Ansonsten hat uns die Villa jedoch sehr gut gefallen und ich würde sie auch weiterempfehlen. Das W-Lan funktionierte auch gut und alles entsprach unseren Ansprüchen. Zwei kleine Tipps: Zu unserer Urlaubszeit hatte es extrem viele Wespen auf der Insel, egal ob am Strand oder vor dem Haus (was v.a. am Pool liegt, um welche sich die Wespen richtig ansammelten). Kosmas (der Angestellte von Dimitri (der Vermieter) sagte uns dann, dass wir nicht draussen essen sollen. Doch im Urlaub bei solchem Wetter drinnen zu essen kam für uns nicht in Frage, daher haben wir Kaffeepulver mit Kohle in kleinen Behältern angezündet, welches die Wespen relativ gut verngehalten hat (bis auf ein zwei Wespen). Des weiteren kann ich das Restaurant Muses in Skopelos nur wärmstens empfehlen, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker. Herzlichen Dank an Dimitri für den tollen Service und lassen Sie sich durch die 4 Sterne nicht abschrecken, diese sollten einfach noch ein paar kleine Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten aufzeigen.

Traumhafte Villa

Wir waren zwei Wochen in diesem wundervollen Haus von Dimitris. Ein absolut toller Ort um einfach mal abzuschalten. Die Lage ist herrlich, sehr ruhig, toller Blick auf Skopelos Stadt. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in dem von Dimitris, dem Vermieter, wunderschön eingerichteten Haus. Stilvolle Möbel und ein Gespür für das Schöne. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Schlafzimmer haben jeweils eine eigene Dusche und Toilette, super für zwei Paare wie wir. Wir haben gerne auf der Terasse gesessen den Sonnenuntergang beobachtet die Ruhe genossen und sind immer mal wieder in den tollen Pool gesprungen. Die Insel ist noch sehr ursprünglich, schöne Strände, sehr frendliche Menschen, das Essen einfach super! Wir können diese Insel und dieses Haus absolut weiterempfehlen und kommen auch gerne wieder Yassas Xristina, Norbert, Karin und Martin aus Dinkelsbühl
