To the outside is a private patio with furniture, communal lawned gardens and ample off-road parking. Herons Reach is a charming base from which to explore all the delights of North Yorkshire. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: Due to the proximity of the river, please ensure children are supervised at all times. Note: There is quite a steep hill leading to the cottage.

Whitby itself is a charming and atmospheric town, packed with winding streets and hidden alley ways. There is also a picturesque harbour, numerous safe, sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by its famous 199 Steps.
