Villa Alexandros - Stone Villa with Private Pool

We proudly welcome our guests to Villa Alexandros in Koiliomenos village, a mansion of great swell and stylish lures that will introduce them to the traditionally noble zakynthian past. Indulge yourself to an experience of old school hospitality and luxury you would expect form an island of culture and art.

Villa Alexandros is a stone built maisonette at Koiliomenos village, that can comfortably accommodate up to 9 guests in its spacious and full of natural light interiors.

Beds arrangement:
1st bedroom: 1 queen size bed (1,60x2,00), on the ground floor, for 2 guests
2nd bedroom: 2 single beds (1,00x2,00), on the ground floor, for 2 guests
3rd bedroom: 1 queen size bed (1,60x2,00), ensuite, on the attic level, for 2 guests
Living room: 1 double sofa bed and 1 folding guest bed, for 3 guests

The main entrance is on ground floor and leads to the large living room, wonderfully decorated and furnished with traditional items mainly made from wood and cast iron. There is also a spacious dinning room and a fully equiped kitchen for all kind of meals preparation.

Ground floor also features 2 bedrooms: 1 with 1 queen size bed and 1 with 2 single beds that can turn to 1 double bed. Both bedrooms share a common spacious bathroom with bathtub and they have private balconies with spectacular view to the lush green hill slope and the Ionian Sea. Bedrooms are elegantly decorated and furnished for utter comfort, with all amenities you may need.
The third bedroom is located in the attic on first floor and features 1 queen size bed, private bathroom with shower, a fireplace and a private balcony with marvelous view.

Outdoor areas are extended at the gentle hill slope and are surrounded by pine and olive trees. You can enjoy your meals at the outdoor dinning area or relax watching the view from the charming wooden kiosk. The private swimming pool equiped with wooden sun beds and parasols offers endless moments of calmness as well as revitalization, while the smaller, shallow swimming pool for children helps parents to feel relaxed and worry free.

*The Climate Resilience Tax of 15 Euros/night is not included and will be paid by cash upon arrival.

Amazing

Absolutely superb property. So luxurious. Beautiful cool interior with lots of space and all the amenities we required. The outside area was really gorgeous. Lovely pool and gorgeous garden. Amazing setting and views. Not overlooked. So peaceful. Owner was incredibly helpful and communicative. Perfect.

Hillside villa with good views

A rural setting on hillside overlooking great views of countryside and the sea. Car essential to beaches 30 minutes away. Villa owners provided excellent service and responded to any request promptly.

First family holiday abroad with small child

The swimming pool was great for starting the day and also winding down in the late afternoon/early evening. Loved all the different spaces around the Villa. The family spaces were excellent as it gave everybody a chance to have “alone” time whilst at the same time the big tables outside and inside were more than big enough for all of us to sit and eat together!

Perfect Spot, Great Views

My friends and I (4) booked this property, and hired a car & had the best week. It's not in the heart of things, but that wasn't what we wanted. We had total peace at the villa, enjoyed the pool and the veranda, with excellent views of the surrounding countryside, and on several evenings, we cooked dinner at the open fire kitchen under the veranda, which made for delicious, smoky flavours! We drove to several spots on the Ireland, and from Kiliomenos, everything is within a 30 minute drive from the property. We enjoyed the freedom of choosing when to stay and relax, and when to adventure. The villa was super clean and really lovely inside. The only slight complaint was a lack of hot water for 4 people to shower. We managed warm water, but by the time the last person showered it was Luke warm. This didn't matter too much as it was very warm weather, but it's literally the only negative thing I can think of about the property. Dmitris and Alexandros were super helpful and only a text away. It really was one of the best holidays I've had & we would all go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely Villa and great location

Perfect location, quite with beautiful grounds and pool. Great as a base to visit all sides of the island where we found lovely restaurants and beaches with clear blue water. Highly recommend.

Très belle demeure, très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette très belle maison pleine de charme et dotée d'une superbe piscine et d'une exceptionelle vue sur mer. La maison reste bien fraîche et nous n'avons quasiment pas utilisé la climatisation. Nous avons pu silloner l'île de part et d'autre au vu de sa situation centrale. Les premières plages sont à seulement 15 mns en voiture et le reste de l'île se fait facilement. Merci à Alexandros et Dimitris pour nous avoir gentiment accueilli et aider lors de nos problèmes de location de voiture. La maison est grande et très propre et nous avons sympatisé avec les 2 chatons qui nous rendaient régulièrement visite!

Spent 30 days (June 10 to July 10, 2022) at Villa Alexandros and enjoyed every minute. This beautiful property is set on a hill just to the north of Kiliomenos off the road to Agios Leon. The photographs of the property on the website are accurate but do not capture the real essence of the place. We ate almost all our meals on the balcony (when not visiting one of the many local tavernas or bakeries.) The view over the swimming pool to the village and the Ionian Sea beyond is remarkable especially with a new moon reflecting off the distant waters. We thoroughly enjoyed having the cats and swallows to keep us company and took full advantage of all the fruit trees surrounding the villa. Would highly recommend renting the villa during the cherry and apricot season - the apricots are particularly delicious - raw, grilled or in a pie! The few problems we had learning how to use the water system were quickly handled by the family. The whole team treated us really well and made us feel so much at home that we truly did not want to leave. Thank you for a truly memorable vacation.

Remote Paradise on Zakynthos

My family LOVED our vacation at this beautiful Villa. More amenities than any hotel, we enjoyed the pool, outside dining at the charcoal grille, and many special areas inside and out. We were right in the middle of the island, making it easy to enjoy the resort style beaches at the southern end and the romantic rugged coast in the north. Dimitrios, the host, was very friendly and super helpful, recommending great places to try, especially his uncle's taverna at the Korakonissi Peninsula, one of the most beautiful places on earth - go there for an afternoon swim and to eat souvlaki as the sun paints the sky...

A home in the hills

Overall we had a very memorable stay. It takes some adjusting at first if you are not accustom to driving in the mountains or abroad but the house was very spacious and well kept. Any issues we had at first were handled by the owner promptly. Once we settled in, it was so nice to come back to the peaceful villa after a day of excursions. My children loved the fact that there were cats on the property and spent a good amount of time playing with them. The owners prepared a lovely meal For us on our last night. I would recommend this property to larger families and people that enjoy nature and a rural setting. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the check in process and location is because it was a little hectic figuring out how to get to the house and you will need to drive out of the village to get to a grocery or pharmacy. They are not too far away, it just takes a day or 2 to get acclimated to the surroundings then it’s easy!

A fantastic stay !!!

Everything was perfect : the main villa and the annex are wonderful, with a very nice decoration. The garden is full of flowers and fruit trees ; they invite you to relaxation and naps. The swimming pool is ideal after an all-day journey through this island. And ABOVE all, the guests are SO kind : they provided us with lots of advice ; and we enjoyed taking time talking with them. All that, coupled with a nice situation in the island, makes me say : Go to this stone villa !!! ; no hesitation, you will have GREAT moments.

Fantastic, relaxing break. Made even more special by the owners

As we arrived late in the evening from the airport, we met owner, Anastasia in the local village. She was very welcoming and that was echoed when we arrived at the villa. Wow...a large, well laid out property. We were group of 4 friends, but we see it being a great space for families as well. Anastasia and Dionisis were very welcoming and communicative if we needed them ( we didn't much). They kindly made us a coffee and fruit on our first morning because we'd arrived late at night and hadn't yet gone shopping. They also cooked us a delicious Greek meal on our 2nd night...such a lovely touch. The bedrooms were well furnished and roomly. The kitchen and living areas are well stocked with the necessary appliances. With great weather we spent most days relaxing around the lovely pool, and in the well maintained outside area. You will need a car, but the island is very much worth a drive around. The villas charm is increased by it being located in the countryside, a 15 minute walk to the local village (limited amenities). There are cats and dogs, very friendly and well looked after, however may be a concern if you're not an animal person. We on the otherhand got very attached to them. Would recommend to others.

Great property, wonderful stay.

Overall the house was beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by our very gracious hosts. Great entertaining and poolside areas. The only downside was the number of cats on the property. They were everywhere and were quite a nuisance at times, especially since two people in our party had allergies. Dionysus and his wife were truly wonderful, helpful hosts who were very responsive to our needs. I would definitely recommend the place to friends if they can do something about the cats.

Superb Week at Villa Alexandros

One of our best week’s holiday ever! The villa could not have suited our purposes better. It has been beautifully designed and built by the owners. Lots of lovely sitting areas on terraces, gorgeous expansive bedrooms, wonderful views of the village, 100% privacy, and a large swimming pool to dip in when it gets too hot. We also really appreciated the many stylistic features of the house. In addition Dionisis, Anastassia and Niki were incredibly hospitable, and made us feel extremely welcome. Highly highly recommended.

Perfect villa with brilliant swimming pool

We spent an amazing week in the Alexandros Villa with our friends. The house is very spacious, clean, well equipped all the while looking beautifully traditional. There are three large bedrooms in the main house, one on the top floor with lovely view over the hills. The bathrooms are all clean and well maintained. The kitchen is also large and well equipped. What we loved most is the large selection of social places in and around the house. The lounge inside the house is huge but there are numerous outdoor seating areas too, a great little cocktail terrace, upstairs and downstairs dining areas as well as another outdoor dining area at the small house. The small house is very cute, with it's own kitchen and terrace. The pool is big and very clean, with separate paddling pool for the kids. We loved that there are steps leading into the main pool so its safer for the little ones. We couldnt have wished for better hosts than Dionisos and Anastassia. They were always very helpful and accommodating and the dinners that they prepared for us are now legendary in our families. They let us help harvesting grapes, that this kids loved and always had good advice when we needed it. The whole place is very kids friendly and safe, our kids had a lot of fun running around and discovering the huge garden, playing with the three friendly cats and playing hide and seek in the big house. The location of the house would suit anyone wanting a local family holiday far from the noisy seaside strips but still central to be able to get to beaches and restaurants quickly.

Wow ! What an amazing villa !

This gorgeous villa became our home within the first hour of arrival - it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The Katsigialos family met us on arrival and showed us around this beautiful villa that has all the facilities you could need during your stay. We stayed for 2 weeks and the villa was cleaned twice a week, this included fresh bedding and towels. The family - Dionisis, Anastasia and Niki soon became friends, nothing was too much trouble - Niki even came to the airport when we arrived and departed to help transport our luggage. Their kindness and generosity made our stay even more pleasurable, and we joined them for an amazing Moussaka ( made by Dionisis ) and Greek music and dancing ! We cannot praise the villa and our hosts enough - superb 10/10 !!

Sensational - Wonderful - Smart :-)

Hello Niki :-) It was one Sensationel - Wounderful Week in our Villa. The best Holidays we have had - thank you once time for the Greek Evening and also for the music seccon - realy funny . Villa Alexandros is a residence of traditional architecture, made of stone, 220m2, with a capability to accommodate up to 8 people (Villa Alexandros 6 people and small stone maisonnette 2). The owners’ good taste together with the experience and know –how of local workmen has created an outstanding place of relaxation and tranquillity.
Inside the villa one feels he lives in another age, while he can enjoy all contemporary luxuries. Villa Alexandros is surrounded by large verandas, which give the visitor the opportunity to gaze into the Ionian Sea and the amazing colours of the sun setting through the verdure of pine forest.

We love to spend time together cooking, singing and dancing!!You can also cook with us traditional foods, make bread in wood oven, pick fruits from our garden, make wine, and take part in many other activities.
