As much as we anticipated the size and variety of accommodations for our family of eighteen, we were overwhelmed by the quality of the architecture and interior design as well as the beautiful antique pieces of furniture. In talking with one of our relatives who asked if my wife and I stayed in the master bedroom, I told her "No, but in this house, ANY ONE of the bedrooms could have served as a master bedroom just about anywhere else."
We also appreciated two washers and dryers as well as two dishwashers. Our only regret was only one refrigerator to manage the food for our group; nonetheless, we made things work. Also, the pavilion adjacent to the house was an ideal setting for all meals, and the fireplace provided the means for a S'Mores night.
Finally, the house's location in the Townsend area kept us out of the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg crowds, and while we enjoyed attractions in both of those towns, we welcomed our retreat from the tourist milieu. For those who want a stunning mountain retreat away from the hustle and bustle of tourist towns, this house checks all boxes. Everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed their stay!!!
