Leo's Lodge was a perfect location for our time in Cinque Terre. Located on the Blue Ridge Trail, between Corniglia and Vernazza, we were able to explore with ease. Pietro and his trusty companion Leo are the most wonderful hosts! We were picked up at the train station and driven to Leo's Lodge. Whenever we were not in the mood to hike back to the Lodge, Pietro was available to pick us up. The apartment is also located near a stand that sells fresh fruits, vegetables, olive oil, wine, and other wonderful local goods. The wine was some of the best we had in Italy! The view, without the crowds, was beautiful!

Beautiful setting, a bit isolating, away from people, with minimal amenities. Very convenient for hiking.

Perfect location for hiking!

We wanted to hike the blue path and this spot was in a great location right between Corniglia and Vernazza. Rustic and easy. We were adopted by a lovely cat. Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.

Amazing Experience!

We loved everything about this location. So much attention to detail and felt homey. There’s a Bar below for quick purchases. Host was amazing and attentive. We will return when there’s better weather for sure!

Beautiful rustic retreat

Not fancy — but a wonderful property in a perfect setting and location. Pierpaolo was easy to communicate with and drove us both ways from the train station (and carried our heaviest bag up and down the steps). It’s a hike to either Vernazza or Corniglia, so you’ll likely want to cook dinner (there are two small markets in each town, and a small bar just below the unit that has pizza and sandwiches until 7 pm).

Anniversary Trip

We absolutely loved our stay here. The farm store down below that is also owned by the property manager is great! It was a great space to relax and enjoy the view at the end of a long day of hiking. One tip that I have is to not drive to this location if at all possible.

Amazing place!

We had an amazing time in leo’s lodge. Pietro was a great host. The place is so nice and brings you somewhere else compared to any other place. It’s located between two towns so be ready to walk if you don’t want to drive. But the blue path is so nice and it’s nice because you’re away from the more touristic areas. We bought our vegetables from Pietro’s garden every night to cook our dinner. It was a really nice experience!

Pure heaven

This property had even more “wow” factor than we anticipated. The gorgeous scenery captivated our attention both from the outdoor chairs and again from the higher lookout location with a cold beverage. The host was excellent with communication and was waiting for us when we arrived at the train station.

Hard to describe the beauty around our charming overnight lodge. Perfect location for best hike with a superb location for hiking best most beautiful part of the path AND ..... Bonus !! Right below was food and drink in one of a kind location LOVED LOVED my experience and having the courtesy of being picked up at train station by Paolo and after dinner in Corniglia made it just right! Soooo impressive

We LOVED this place!

We very much enjoyed our stay and both wished that we could have stayed longer. Pierpaolo was a gracious host and was very accommodating to us… from our pick up/drop off at the station, taking us to the market, having the basic necessities in a well stocked in the kitchen, and just everything else that was available to us. We loved our early am coffee on the swing in the open air terrace overlooking the sea, lounging on the chairs in the evenings, making our Italian dinners with that beautiful view, the farm store, the bar and little old Leo and the cats. We just can’t say enough good things about this place.. we found it wonderful in every way possible. It’s a bit primitive, and I was a bit concerned about that when I booked, but keep in mind that you are staying in an old settlement and just embrace the great location and everything else it has to offer. You will not be disappointed and will want to stay longer and/or return. Thank you so much, Pierpaolo and Leo! We LOVED your place! It’s a real gem!

Perfect!

Communication with the host was exceptional. He was very accommodating and helpful, including shuttle to and from train station. The lodge was also perfect. Right along the Blue Path, amazing views, and great amenities.

Once in a lifetime experience

Pietro was an incredible host, kind and dedicated to providing his guests a wonderful experience. This is a once in a lifetime home - one doesn't come here for the habitual experience. The living room and kitchen are both located outdoors, which makes it extremely special - particularly with a direct view over the ocean. You're given access to a private bedroom and en-suite bathroom in addition to private access to the property. We spent entire afternoons just starring at the sea from our own outdoor living room and it was the most special moment for our honeymoon. For those living with different walking abilities, please note that it can be challenging to get to the nearest town. Regardless, if you do come prepared with food and drinks - you probably won't need to go anywhere else. There's also a small bar next door that sells amazing cocktails and snacks. I'd do it all over again, now prepared with all the food and drink so that I wouldn't have to leave the property. Thank you Pietro, it's was wonderful.

Stunning Views

Stunning views and a very attentive host! Thank you Pietre!!! We loved that there was everything we needed at the property. AC in our rooms was a major plus!!!! Trails to the villages were challenging so no dressing up for dinners at the local villages. If you hike to the train stations it’s about .9 miles. You can arrange for a taxi if available. Not many to choose from but well worth it if you can make arrangements. Thank you Pietre for sharing your beautiful place with us. It was very nice meeting your cats and your hero dog “Leo”. Ciao

Great view, perfect location if you like to hike, convenient bar/coffee shop downstairs, clean and very well equiped kitchen. don’t drive there if you’re not used to very narrow roads and sharp turns, Paulo offers pick up from train station.

Most relaxing vacation spot I've ever visited

Pietro has an amazing little spot, anyone who stays here is in for a wonderful experience. We arrived after a about a week in Italy with more luggage than we planned, the host came and picked us up at the train station and drove us to our reservation. The lodge is a hilly 1 km hike from Corniglia , but after dropping off your bags its really not bad. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the basic cooking impliments, and access to a full herb garden. Come ready to walk to either Vernazza or Corniglia to take the train elsewhere in Cinque Terre. If coming in the summer always bring water when you leave the house. If you're up for some physical activity this is a perfect spot to escape from the world and enjoy some amazing views.

The view! Fall in love with Cinque Terra

Quaint rooms, clean and perfect. Outdoor kitchen delightful and stocked perfectly. Views were amazing! In middle of Cinque Terra trail. Host is gracious and accommodating. If you like the outdoors and to hike, this is the place! Highly recommend.

Amazing location

Unique experience with breath taking views. Location is amazing, between the two towns. More suitable for the young and young at heart as lots of hiking involved. An amazing place to stay but very hot in August at night. Only problem was WiFi was very weak and difficult to use.

Willkommen im Paradies

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in einer grandiosen Gegend und einem paradisischem Ausblick auf`s Meer. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön! Jedoch muss man wissen das die Küche eine Outdoor Küche ist was im Sommer bestimmt super ist . Jetzt anfang März war das nicht wirklich toll! Zuhause mach ich mir mein Kaffee auch nicht bei 6 Grad. Der Kontakt zu Pietro war sehr freundlich ! Vielen Dank auch für das nette Abschiedsgeschenk! Viele Grüße Olaf und Andrea
