Not for the faint hearted
The property description failed to mention that the apartment is on the 7th floor, with 108 steps, of a building without a lift. As we were 80 years old and 60 years old, we would not have rented this apartment given that we were traveling for many weeks, with heavy bags. Getting them up the 108 steps was a nightmare.
The check-in process was shambolic, requiring multiple calls to get in the front gate. Finding the correct entrance to the building was also a fail. We were told the first door on the left - which was locked and presumably went to the cellar. It's actually the second door on the left. Were it not for a resident of the building to guide us, we would have been stuck for another 30 minutes outside the gate.
The beautiful terrace, featured in the photo, had a table with a half-empty bottle of beer and full ash tray of cigarette butts. While the kitchen was nice, there wasn't a dish towel with which to dry dishes.
The secondary problems are overtaken by the first: not letting potential guests know that this property is on the 7th floor (108 steps) without a lift.
