Chalet Alpenheim 1

Chalet Alpenheim 1 is a brand new luxury 4-bedroom holiday apartment centrally located in the family-friendly "car-free" mountain village and ski resort of Wengen. This spacious 1st-floor apartment has wonderful views from its panoramic windows and large southwest-facing balcony.



Chalet Alpenheim is conveniently located about 300 metres (4 - 6 minutes walk) from central Wengen, the train station, supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The route is downhill and down some steps. There is also an alternative route to avoid the steps if required. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen station.



The modern open-plan living and dining space, with a natural wood floor and stylish furnishings, gives this a modern Alpine feel. With windows along two sides of the living area, it offers superb views of the famous Jungfrau mountain and the stunning Lauterbrunnen valley. The views can also be enjoyed from the large southwest-facing balcony, a perfect spot for relaxing or dining alfresco.



The kitchen is well-equipped for home cooking and entertaining. It includes an electric induction hob, fan-assisted oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is also a wine fridge so you can serve your wine at the perfect temperature!



This spacious apartment has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have king-size double beds (160 x 200 cm). Bedrooms 3 and 4 have two single beds in each room (90 x 200 cm). The single beds can be zipped together to form super-king-size double beds (180 x 200 cm). There are 2 bathrooms with a bathtub and 2 bathrooms with a shower.



There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer in the apartment.

What you should know...



Wengen is a "car-free" village with no road access. You can reach Wengen only by train. There is car parking at Lauterbrunnen train station. From there, the train ride to Wengen takes just 11 minutes and is very scenic. You may just want to factor in the journey time if planning day trips away.



As part of your booking, a mandatory non-refundable damage waiver of CHF 35 is required. This waiver offers you protection against accidental damage during your stay, ensuring peace of mind without the need for a traditional refundable security deposit.

We loved everything about our stay at Chalet Alpenheim. The pre-arrival instructions were timely and accurate. Upon arrival, the Chalet was everything we hoped it would be, and more. Spacious and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. It is a short (5 minutes) walk down/up the hill from the center of town, and the views over the valley from the living room and terrace are spectacular. We highly recommend it!

The Chalet was very well supplied with everything you may need. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Beds are comfy and water pressure and temperatures in the shower was perfect. Communication was impeccable! And of course the view!!!!!!

Magical chalet

The property was exquisite with unbelievable views of the mountains and valley. Our family really appreciated the four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Well-outfitted kitchen and comfortable beds and bedrooms. Excellent value for the price.

This property was amazing! The home is very clean, upscale, modern and the views are absolutely breathtaking overlooking Lauterbrunnen valley and Staubbach falls. The property management was outstanding, very responsive and helpful. The home had everything our family of 8 needed. The beds were comfortable and every bedroom has its own bathroom (2 en-suite and 2 just outside of the bedroom). The 5min walk to town/train station from the house is all uphill so be prepared to get some exercise, but the views are worth it. Would be nice to have a luggage taxi arranged at check out to get all of your luggage up to the train station. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again!

Our favorite city in Switzerland

This Wengen condo is in a wonderful quiet quaint location. Very modern and updated. We had four bedrooms and four bathrooms so each of our adult kids had their own space which was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped and they even delivered a microwave to us that we didn’t ask for. Americans need microwaves. The view from the wrap around terrace was unbelievable. Definitely would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in Wengen. Perfect location for peace and quiet. The beds were comfy but slightly smaller than I imagined. Not King Size. The kitchen was well stocked and in good working order. Bathrooms were excellent and clean. The view was beyond anything I could have imagined. Incredible! Don't hesitate to rent this beauty.

Chalet Alpenheim 1 for the win!!!

Everything about this rental was perfect. It was easy to access by foot from the train, it was clean, and well appointed! My husband, four teen children and I had a most wonderful vacation with this as our "home" base. The communication leading up to our visit was exceptional. The easy access to town and a very well stocked grocery store… all made it a stress free and enjoyable holiday. Wengen is the perfect town to escape to if you visit Switzerland, with the most breathtaking views! We spent every breakfast and every cocktail hour sitting on the porch is taking it all in. I highly recommend this location with this agency!

This fit our family of 6 perfectly, with room to spare. The house is clean and well equipped. We needed nothing extra during our 5 day stay. 5 min uphill (though everything is uphill- it’s the alps!) wall into town and the coop (groceries). Best view I’ve ever seen from an apartment. Nothing, the house was lovely, check in was easy and check out even easier. Thank you.

An absolutely magical place!

The house is a short 5-15 minute walk from the train station (depending on your mobility and the route you take, the stairs by a highly mobile person being 5 minutes and the road by a less mobile person being closer to 10-15 minutes). There are also bakeries and grocery stores right by the same station so everything is super accessible. The train and/or gondola (another 3 minutes from the train) get you absolutely anywhere in the valley. The house itself is nearly brand new and laid out AMAZING for groups with a bathroom for every room and a view from 3 of the 4 rooms. The view cannot be matched, absolutely breathtaking. Really can't recommend the house enough! All the amenities you need with high quality finishes, great location, and amazing view.

What a gem!

We have stayed in many VRBO's, and this is the top one by far! Super clean, plenty of space for 4 couples to have own room and bathroom, as well as comfortable shared spaces. We all love to cook and were thrilled that the kitchen had everything we could ever need! That is a rare thing! The view from the deck was awe-inspiring, the location ideal in every way. Lastly, we made friends with the young ladies* who live in the pasture next door. Although they did not abide by the quiet time hours, we found their nighttime bell ringing to be manageable**. *cows **earplugs

We stayed with our family of 7 for 4 nights in this beautiful condo. The view from the deck was like nothing we have seen - just incredible. The condo had everything we needed - a well appointed kitchen, plenty of seating and the perfect convenient location. My only regret is that I wish we could have stayed longer! Chalet Alpenheim is the 4th apartment we’ve rented in Wengen and is by far the best. Brand new, super clean, well-appointed and laid out, great views of the Lauterbrunnen valley, and excellent location just below the train station. Julie was also terrific and super helpful.
